Western Force vs Chiefs; video highlights & score
Western Force 22 - Chiefs 21 This game was the one highlight in an otherwise pretty dismal super 14 weekend for Aussie teams, losing 3 out of 4 games. Having watched the game, no one really blew me away from the Force's point of view. It was a pretty solid team effort, especially in the last 10 minutes when it turned into wacky races rugby. The 17 year old, James O'Connor did nothing to... ....follow link for more

American actress Lindsay Lohan blasted US alcohol industry chiefs
American actress Lindsay Lohan blasted US alcohol industry chiefs for exploiting her infamous DUI mugshot for their advert.Lohan, who had been arrested twice for DUI last year, was prominently featured on Friday in an advertisement attacking legislation for devices that measure a driver’s blood alcohol level before their vehicle can start. The full-page black-and-white ad appeared in USA Today and was paid for by the American Beverage Institute, a trade group that supports the interests of the alcohol industry. The ad reads "Ignition interlocks are a good idea for" above Lohan’s mug shot from her July 24, 2007 arrest and "But a bad idea for us" above smaller photos of people drinking. Lohan’s lawyer, Blair Berk, has slammed the advert and the paper&rsq

      Chiefs Draft Recap and Analysis
So apparently, the media loves the Chiefs' draft in 2008. I'm still up in the air about it.When evaluating the Chiefs' 2008 draft, you have to take into account the big trade of Jared Allen to the Minnesota Vikings. Before the trade the Chiefs owned the 5th, 35th, 66th, 105th, 136th, 140th, 170th, 187th, 210th, and 239th.They then traded the franchise in Jared Allen, who is just 26 and hitting his peak for the 17th, 73rd, 82nd and 182nd for Allen and the 187th pick. The trade with Lions cost KC the 17th, 66th, an 136th pick for the 15th and 76th pick.So the Chiefs ended up with 13 draft picks. Any team that is rebuilding surely can make use of that. Read more...

FA chiefs show BNP candidate red card
County football chiefs have called for an honorary vice-president to be kicked out of the FA after learning he is standing for election as a BNP candidate.Stan Leese is representing the far-right party in Stoke-on-Trent's Northwood and Birches Head ward in Thursday's polls. Mr Leese, of Woodhead Road, Abbey Hulton, told electors in his campaign leaflets that he has dedicated most of his life to local football, and was recently made a life vice-president of the Staffordshire Football Association in recognition of his efforts. However, the admission has earned him the red card from the FA's directors, who are outraged at his political stance. They point out that the FA has a strict policy of tackling racism and inequality, and that they are bitterly opposed to the BNP's policies.Mr Leese's ca

The Chiefs Are HUGE Draft Day Winners
As I watched the NFL Draft the past two days, I just hoped that the Chiefs would bring in someone that would make the Jared Allen trade worth while. I was maybe one of the only Chiefs fans not happy with the trade, and while I still am not 100 percent happy with the move, I definitely can live with it now.First RoundIf you have to give up a great defensive player in Jared Allen, no doubt getting the best defensive player in the draft is worth it and thats what the Chiefs got in Glenn Dorsey. Taught under the tenacious coaching of Bo Pelini, Dorsey is a guy that can just flat out push over offensive linemen. He will definitely be the anchor of the Chiefs defense for years to come. Then with their second first round pick they got the guy many mock drafts were predicting the Chiefs would pick

NFL Draft Recap: Chiefs Draft's Biggest Winners, Rams Biggest Loser
I’m a fan of the new streamlined NFL draft. Thanks to the new time limit, I was able to watch the entire first round while still sober.Which, I have discovered, makes it much easier to report on the draft after that fact. There’s no good way to judge a draft the day after it happens. None of us know how these players are going to turn out. Sometimes the worst picks on draft day end up being the best picks on game day.But like our contemporaries over at ESPN (and in every sports section of every newspaper at every newsstand tomorrow morning), that's not going to stop me from jumping the gun and declaring the winners and losers of draft weekend. Chiefs vs Reds; review & video highlights
Chiefs 32 - Reds 20. The Reds seemed to come into this game thinking they could out-run the Chiefs and at half time the approach seemed to have blown up on them, as they went into the sheds 3 tries to nil down. But the game got a real shot in the arse when the reds came out and ran in 3 tries of their own to give the hosts a scare at 25-20. Luaki's intercept try finally putting the game to... ....follow link for more

Branden Albert (Virginia) #15 To The Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs#15 Overall (Acquired from Detroit for 2008 picks #17 a 3rd and a 5th rounder. Detroit also sends Kansas City their 2008 3rd round pick)Branden Albert (OT/OG) VirginiaAbsolute money. The Chiefs moved up faster than the Eagles could to snatch Albert. Look for the Eagles to make a major push to trade Lito Sheppard/trade for a WR in the next 30 minutes. Complete home run for the Chiefs, they got their left tackle for the next 10 years. Or at worst a Pro Bowl guard (think Shawn Andrews).
