Happy Easter From Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center
Happy Easter and Baby Dust all who are TTC. The easter egg is an ancient symbol of fertility. One of the first references to this is Semiramis (Easter) the Babylonian's goddess of Fertility. It was widely believed that an egg of wondrous size had fallen from heaven into the Euphrates River. From this marvelous egg - according to the ancient story - the Goddess Astarte (Easter) [Semiramis], was hatched. And so the egg came to symbolize the Goddess Easter. Most peoples through history have celebrated this time of the year as a time of great fertility, and to all our tubal reversal patients I extend our wishes that next year they can share the first Easter of a new baby.Omne vivum ex ovo - all life comes from an egg.More information on Fertility

It's still in my backpack. I need to mail it out or give it away now....This got me thinking.. when I invite someone who is reluctant about coming to church, what would I say to them to convince them to come? Well... let's see... What are some of the reasons they should come?1. Delicious Pupus and Dessert - I'm talking home made desserts and awesome pupus like sushi, bree cheese fresh baked with a croissant, ham, etc. etc. Hope Chapel always have a delicious spread of food on Christmas eve. Free food - that's a good start.... like what the say "the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach" :)2. For Moms of little kids we offer free childcare. Kate Walsh at Union Chapel
An enjoyable evening at Union Chapel, which started by bumping into Mel and John at the McD's in Islington. They were in pole position in the window on the special funky chairs.I'd got a business call before we started the main evening, so I was on the phone as we entered Union Chapel just after seven pm and the call lasted another 20 minutes or so, with me mainly on mute. We managed to get some excellent seats (pews) very near to the front, and left some coats whilst we wandered around to the side to grab a Red Stripe before the support act came on. Then back at eight to see (I'm not sure who) who played acoustic guitar, harmonica and sang some of his own songs really well. By this time the Chapel was pretty well full.A short pause and then Kate Walsh took to the stage, with three accompanying musicians comprising a cellist, violinist and an acoustic slide accompanist. Kate played mainly from her 'Tim's House' album, interspersed with a couple of new songs - one in the encore. K

While this may not be the last time we see Strumpette’s lead voice (”she’s” sort of like Roger Clemens, who retires every year), the stats below may give some insights as to why Brian Connolly may have pulled the plug on his mercurial avatar. It seems the PR industry has been voting with its feet. For all of the grief PR pros catch, this stat gives me comfort. It demonstrates that we can discern dishonest astroturf from truthful opinion. And that we demand more accuracy and factual based commentary from our leading online voices. Astroturf is the industry term for false grassroot campaigns. It’s hard to argue that the Amanda avatar was sincerely trying to fight hypocrisy behind a fake name, false pictures, and blatantly biased personal attacks targeted at some of its staff’s former employers (Edelman). I will not miss “Amanda.” We’ve sparre

Hope Chapel on Maui Celebrates 27 Years!
I have attending Hope Chapel for 14 years, and that's how long I had been on Maui. Hope started started 13 years before I arrived here - and on Sunday, we are celebrating it's 27th Anniversary. This inspired me to reflect on the reasons why I love coming to this church, and why I am thankful for it.Awesome Worship. This is my favorite part of the Sunday Service. Even though I am not a singer, and I can't carry a tune, I can sing to my heart's desire and I can sing freely for God. I like the worship songs that we sing at Hope. Many are contemporary, sometime hymns, but mostly really focused on just praising and worshiping God. I love it that I can raise my hand freely and no one will be offended (at least none that I know of), but I also can be just still and quite and no one expects me to raise my hand all the time.Solid Biblical Teaching. We are blessed with pastors and teachers who teaches from the Word of God. Pastors and teachers who are inspired by he Holy Spirit to preach

Going to the Chapel and we're going to get married
The Conga through Vias Plage.27th July 8:55pmOne thing PGL does amazingly well, apart from kids activity holidays, is themed nights for staff. At the moment there is one themed night after another as we build ever closer to a PGL wedding. This is all fictitious, but provides great fun as all the staff have a role to play in the wedding. I am the Grooms Famous 80's Rocker Cousin. Last night was the Stag night so the lads hit the town in style with a giant conga through Vias Plage, which totally bewildered passers by. It was an amazing night.I have also moved tends so I am sharing with yet another person. They aren't an Instructor like my previous tent mate, but a Bogger. A Bogger is a PGL site worker so they work different house to us Instructors. This means we won't be crashing into each other in the tent much.Good lines, stay safe and see you on the wet stuff...Iain

      Goin’ to the Chapel…
Paul’s niece Noe is engaged and planning her wedding, and she is just giddy about it. Paul’s brother and his girlfriend are also engaged, and I think they’re in the middle of making plans as well. And Janelle is getting married soon, too - and, by the way, they picked the most AWESOME wedding date ever: 09/08/07 - easy to remember, huh? All this marriage talk! I keep reminiscing to what we were doing two years ago at this time. Paul and I got married in our backyard, among our family and closest friends, in what was, in my opinion, THE BEST wedding EVER. Not that I’m biased or anything! We had our kids with us, we wrote our own vows, and Paul’s best friend Mike became an ordained minister and married us. (In a Motorhead t-shirt. Teehee!) It was the best day of my whole life, honestly. The time leading up to it, though - whew! What a whirlwind time THAT was, between taking care of 6-month-old twins and 2-year-old twins, and trying to plan a wedding that wa

Satanists burn down chapel in France
The forces of darkness are on the move in France: Police in western France were yesterday hunting a group of Satanists who they believe responsible for burning down a 16th century chapel at the weekend as well as a series of attacks on other Christian sites. The Chapel of the Cross at Loqueffret near the remote tip of Brittany was gutted in Saturday's blaze, which left just the four walls standing. Several original polychrome statues were also destroyed. Police yesterday said that the doors of the chapel had been forced and the letters ABM sprayed on the walls. The same graffiti was found at eight other Christian shrines — six roadside granite crosses and two fountains-which were torn down or smashed last month in an area of the Finistere department near the popular holiday resorts of Benodet and Concarneau. The letters are believed to signify Aryan Black Metal, a Satanist movement which has links to heavy metal music, paganism and far-right politics. Although I wouldn't mind s

It’s Like the Sistine Chapel in Here
Well, as my metamorphosis in to my own Dad continues to gather pace, and as we continue to feather our nest, I’ve had to spend today decorating our new bathroom. This is a bit of a first for me. Although *we* have decorated 2 other rooms in our house since moving in some 5 months ago, I don’t really do much of the decorating, Mrs C does. This is for two reasons: Mrs C really enjoys that sort of thing. She’s a real Linda Barker (without the annoyingly scratchy voice or range of Sofas at DFS) when she gets going. If Mrs C messes it up, she can’t really blame me. “Coward” you may say, but it always turns out for the best because Mrs C NEVER messes it up. So this morning I made the trip to Focus to buy a couple of new paint rollers and a brush and to psyche myself up by hanging around other DIY’er (”You bet your arse I can do this. Now come on! Let’s paint that Mother” etc). When I returned home I put on my only pair of jeans

      Going to the chapel
I had a disturbing conversation with one of my co-workers today. She told me she's desperately trying to find a man so she can get married. When I asked her why she's so pressed to be married, she told me it's because she's a virgin and she wants to have sex. She mentioned nothing about wanting to fall in love and be with her husband for the rest of her days. Nothing about the vows, but everything about the dress, the gifts, and the sex on the first night. When I pressed her more, she actually said she'd probably divorce then she'd be free to have sex with whomever she wanted with no strings attached.I have no idea why people feel so comfortable telling me all their business, but I guess that's just the way of my world. But her comments got me thinking about all those girls that were featured in the news stories about Chastity Balls, where they signed contracts with their daddies stating that they'd wait until marriage to do the dirty. I have to wonder, with the divorce rate in

      THE CHAPEL
The beautiful building in Gothic style immeddiately on the right of the courtyard was the chapel of the Knights. One of the first buildings to be completed during the construction of the castle between 1402 and 1437, it was restored by the Spanish knights, in 1519.The chapel, in its planning, ornaments and heavily decorated facade, shows Spanish in fluences. The chapel used to be entered through a main door in the middle and two smaller ones flanking it, with an arched window immediately above them. Due to the construction technique and plant ornaments, two windows above the main door are beatiful examples of Gothic architecture. The chapel was totally built with material obtained from ancient Hellenistic constructions. The green stones used in the building of the side wall were brought from the Maussolleion. On the corner stones of facade are inscribed the names of the Spanish knights who helped in the restoration, between the dates of 1519-1520. After the conquest of the castle and the

      Rosslyn Chapel
I saw Rosslyn Chapel. made even more famous after filming of the Da Vinci Code, for the first time last weekend. I missed the opening hours so only saw it from the exterior. I must admit I found the external apppearance very disappointing. As I approached through Roslin Glen, I could see this structure with a steel roof in the distance. Evidently the steel roof was erected around 10 years ago to protect the building and allow it to dry out, after renovation work done in the 1950s allowed dampness to permeate the whole structure. I’ve read that the interior of the building is amazing. It took 40 years to construct and dates from 1446. There are countless myths and legends associated with the chapel. However the publicity resulting from the Da Vinci Code has led to a five fold increase in visitors. That reminds me of the increase in visitor numbers to the Wallace Monument in Stirling, after the film Braveheart. Have you visited Rosslyn Chapel, were you dismayed by the exterio
