Milwaukee Symphony and Grant Park Symphony cellist Peter Szczepanek sent me a link to this video featuring Stringfever playing Bolero. The thing is...they're all playing it on one cello! Amazing. Now let's see a bass quartet do the same thing. Y si, 8 manos simultáneamente. O simultáneamente, gracias a la edición de video. Recuerdan a Lasse Gjertsen (el sujeto que tocaba piano y batería en stop motion, también simultáneamente, o que hizo beatboxing) Pues bien, durante 5 meses estuvo preparando este corto, en donde vemos al cellista Giovanni Sollima, en dos composiciones suyas, “Terra Aria” y “Concerto Rotondo”. En el video, vemos a Sollima tocar el cello, y mientras la composición crece en complejidad, nuevos brazos le aparecen para tocar las partes, logrando un peculiar efecto.
