Yesterday was a big celebration across the US. It was Earth Day, we attended the celebrations conducted at the Lake Cliff Park, Oak Cliff, Dallas. It was a huge open air, food, fun and commerical extravaganza. There were two stages set up for parallel dance and music performances. Happy Birthday Brandon!! It was fun yesterday, we took Brandon and McKenna to our favorite Target and bought them both their Birthday presents. Oak Lawn Illinois school districts are calling for emergency meetings to cancel or rename holiday celebrations. The schools are addressing the issue after complaints from a Muslim parent.Christmas and Halloween parties will either be canceled or titled "Fall Festival" and "Winter Festival". Parents have expressed outrage, even one Muslim parent was not happy."That does not represent all the Muslims, all of the Arabs at that school," said Qais Nofel, the father of a student in Ridgeland School District 122.Sala Abour said, "To take away Halloween and Christmas from little kids, that is very wrong."
