First, goto Manage > Categories and get the ID of the Category you wish to exclude. Then, go to WP admin and selet Presentation > Theme Editor ..
For your current theme, edit the loop where the posts are displayed. (It varies according to the theme… It was theloop.php for my K2 theme. )

La necessità mi ha spinto ha creare un piccolo script per Wordpress che svolge in automatico un lavoro noioso: trasforma le singole occorrenze dei nomi delle categorie all’interno di articoli e pagine in link alle stesse.
In parole più semplici, se mentre si scrive un articolo si cita una categoria del proprio blog (per esempio “Storia“), quella parola si trasforma automaticamente in un link alla categoria stessa.
E’ uno script piuttosto semplice, scritto in PHP/SQL, che metto a disposizione come plugin per chi voglia utilizzarlo con licenza GPL. Se farò delle migliorie allo script, “rilasciando nuove versioni”, le pubblicherò qui.

2) caricarlo nella propria cartella wp-content/plugins/
3) attivarlo in WordPress -> Plugin;
I just created an easy script for WordPress which automatically converts categories names, when cited in posts or pages, into links to the same categories. So I called it Categories Autolink.
It means that if writing an article you cite a category of your blog (for instance "Storia"), that word automatically changes into a link to the cited category.
It’s a pretty easy plugin, written in PHP/SQL, which I release with the GPL license. It is very useful for the search engine optimization. When I upgrade it, I’ll publish all the news about it in this post.

Installation:
1) unzip the file;
2) upload it in the wp-content/plugins/ folder;
3) active in WordPress -> Plugin;

You get so focused on the content of your blog posting, that you forget to add the categories and tags for it. I usually have to go back and add this afterwards, each time thinking that I'll do better with the next posting. Windows Live Writer can be set to remind you to add categories and/or tags before publishing.Here's how to enable this helpful functionality:1. Open Windows Live Writer.2. Click Tools and select Options.3. Select Preferences from the left pane.4. Under Publishing, check the Remind me to add categories before publishing and/or the Remind me to add tags before publishing checkboxes.5. Click OK.

Simply you have to make an effort to put a label in each post now make sure you are not using plenty if labels in a single post,that means say you are posting on nokia n95 mobile and you are using labels for the post —nokia,n95,n series etc. Do not do it,if you post regularly on nokia,then put only 1 label called Nokia that will create a category called nokia,when your visitors would click on The Nokia tag they would be going to see a page where all the posts about nokia made by you.So this is how choose your label wisely to make categories.Put a label software for all the posts making about softwares…just do like that …. use your creativity this is the easiest way to create category in blogger blog using the label feature.

I changed my categories, and now, my blog here has no available opps. Gosh, it's too late now to change them. I have to wait for next time in the next month to be able to change my categories. Oh, I am not really sure at this time what's happening because I can't select my blog to take an opp. I can only wonder since I am still new to the idea of having 2 blogs for the "PPP" opps.
The last week has been spent focusing on the Stock Images category in my photo galleries.I have been trying to keep the layout simple without too many subcategories within the categories themselves. Building the pages and galleries and then linking them together has been a learning experience. There is really a lot of customization available within the smugmug pages - it is just finding it and figuring it all out that takes up loads of time.Uploading the images is also very time consuming as it ties up the computer and slows down the DSL connection for the other computers in my network. I try to fit in the uploading around the busy times.This week I will continue to condense and restructure my galleries as much of my work is stock related. All of my galleries will allow stock purchasing and downloading, but I think for now I will keep my Landscapes and Nature galleries separate as they are more appealing as prints also.
I just learned that my opps depends on the categories I chose for my blog. So, I only get the opps under them. Anyway, this 2 posts in between that blogitive requires to do, is really a hassle, and then on top of it all, they offer only half of what others offer. Boy, what a bummer. It's tiring, and only those who can keep up will succeed in this money making idea.

I have been trying to organize my categories in WordPress a little better so that you can find things easier and so I have less trouble trying to figure out which ones to use when I write new posts.
I originally started using my name (Jason Stone) as a category, thinking that it would help me rank higher for my name. At first, it worked. I used to be on the first page when you would type “Jason Stone”. I think Google’s filter decided it didn’t like that idea because my rank dropped to 99. The other categories I deleted were:

Blogging

I Added the “Cluttered Thoughts” for when I am in a hurry or if I post some random stuff that doesn’t relate to my main topics. I have also added the “Coding” category to organize articles that contain full scripts or source code snippets in any coding language that I end up needing to us
Even though this blog has only been operational for nineteen days, I have found it too interesting to stop posting. This has led to there being fifty-four posts in thirty-two categories. I originally intended to post once per day, maybe every other day. In actuality, I have posted an average of nearly three items every day (and haven't missed a day yet!)
