As far as people of a certain age are concerned – and that very much includes myself – it is sobering to think that there are younger people out there who have never actually either used or ever even owned a cassette tape, but for those of us who experienced this particular, somewhat temperamental storage medium you may well be interested in taking a trip down memory lane whist spotting all the cassettes you may have owned.

TapeDeck.Org offers beautifully laid out imagery of cassette tapes from the like of BASF, TDK, Sony and Maxell to name but a few and it certainly brings the memories flooding back. Who can possibly forget the hours spent trying to unravel caught tapes from the pinch rollers of the cassette decks before winding it all back in with a pencil or, in worse case scenarios, taking out the tiny screws from the plastic shell in a desperate attempt to find just where in the reel the tape has become folded.

I actually still use them pretty regularly. Both of my vehicles have tape decks and my 1 yr old iPod decided not to work anymore. Anyhow, check out tapedeck.org, it really brings back memories of making “mix-tapes” and recording songs from the radio.
The future is here, and it’s boring as hell. Web sites used to be pages of text, linked to other pages of text. Then they added images, and that was cool. Before you knew it, we had web sites that weren’t ‘static’ but ‘dynamic’. Changing, exciting, multimedia. Then the multimedia split into audio and video that were content pieces in their own right, ‘new media’ if you will, like a podcast. But if you cut through the hype, a podcast is no more dynamic than those first web pages full of text. Even worse, really, because they’re not linked to anything.

Je me demande s'il est possible d'acheter la lune en DVD logiquement il faudrait moins de DVD que de cassettes VHS pour acheter la lune mais alors il faudrait découper les DVD et ça devient compliqué.
J'ai envie de m'acheter un Polaroid j'ai vu de belles choses sur polanoid mais j'ai déjà fait le coup avec un Lomo j'ai un peu joué avec et j'ai laissé tomber. Paradoxalement avec le prix des films on a pas envie de gâcher et on réfléchit à mort avant de prendre des photos avec un Polaroid ne serait-ce pas un peu l'inverse de ce qu'on faisait dans le temps la vie nous joue de drôles de tours quand même.
