A belated Christmas present from the folks at Cartoon Network, the brand-spankin' new animated series premieres with a 90 minute movie at 8:00 p.m. EST. Be there! In the meantime, here's another preview to tide you over...If I get a chance to catch it, I'll post my thoughts later this week.
A couple of weeks ago I watched the Part 1 episode of "Family Guy" in which Stewie kills Lois. I watched it at 9:00 p.m. on Fox. Then last night, at 2:30 a.m., I saw the same episode on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. At first I was surprised to notice a few tidbits that I hadn't apparently picked up on the first time around. But after a while, when I kept seeing more and more scenes that seemed "new," I realized they all had something in common. They were a bit more extreme and offensive than the usual gags. Not that they offended me personally, but they could have offended someone else more easily than the other jokes in the show.I finally understood that Fox doesn't show full Family Guy episodes. They edit out some of the dirtier sequences. In order to see the "original" version of an episode, you can just watch it late night on Cartoon Network.
I was channel surfing last night and came across some programming on Cartoon Network within a block they call "Adult Swim." I've watched a few of those shows off and on for years, but some are just way too bizarre. But they can also be fun if you're in that kind of mood. One of the shows last night was called, "Perfect Hair Forever." I'm not sure what it's about, but from what I can gather it's a spoof of all kinds of Anime with no solid plot. The gags, though, seemed to make up for that. I think it's the kind of show where if you're really tired and out of it, it might entertain. The colors of one of the characters' hair kept changing and looked pretty psychedelic.I became interested when the main character, an apparently balding teen with a comb over, was meditating and then decided to begin a quest to achieve the 9th level of power. I thought, "Cool!" Then he got sidetracked by a bear, and I lost interest. Oh well. But now I know something. If I'm ever in the mood
Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall is the name of an upcoming MMORPG scheduled for release on PC in 2008 that takes place in the Cartoon Network universe and will reportedly feature CN characters, locations and other-related items.
The game is being developed by CN themselves along with Grigon Entertainment and promises to offer a unique MMO experience differing from anything else out there. Graphically is has a cartoony look and it definitely has more platform elements than you’re used to seeing in your typical MMO, as well as apparent shooter elements. Details on the game are scant but you can see yourself in the debut trailer and a new gameplay trailer from Comic-Con 2007.

Cartoon Network manager Jim Samples has resigned as head of the Cartoon Network due to a marketing stunt that went wrong last month. Boston went on alert last month, bridges and roads were closed after flashing devices were discovered. The devices were battery powered signs that promote the Cartoon Network late-night adult themed show Aqua Team Hunger Force.
Each sign show a character from the show with a raised middle finger.
Samples said "He felt compelled to stand down immediately in recognition of the situation"
Us TV giant Turner Broadcasting that owns the Cartoon Network, and a advertising agency that run the stunt agreed to pay Boston $2,000,000 in compensation for emergency responses. $1,000,000 to cover the cost of the security operation and another million as a good will gesture.
