Indian and Vietnamese firms Friday signed an agreement to set up a joint venture to manufacture carbon black, a material used to make tires.
The country’s first carbon black project, to be developed by Philips Carbon Black and three local tire producers Casumina, Danang Rubber and Sao Vang Rubber, will cost US$65 million.
The three companies, representing parent company Vietnam National
The carbon market has very little to do with reducing global emissions. Thus if we actually reduce the global carbon footprint in the next decade the market collapse on itself... this is NOT the intention. What is the real intention? to make a lot of cash... The "carbon market" is designed to capitalize on the trade of carbon emissions from industrialized nations to inefficient power derived from third world natural resources. Knowing that third world sources making those emissions are 30-50% LESS efficient than the industrialized nations... thus, producing 30-50% more emissions during the trade. While there is nothing "clean" about it, the is certainly a whole lot of GREEN behind it ;-) Reuters: The global carbon market more than

Earlier I published a post addressing Obama and McCain's failure to make their campaigns carbon neutral. You can read that post HERE or sign the petition urging them to do so HERE.
Some readers might complain that it is expensive and difficult to make a campaign carbon neutral. Its true that it can be tough, but its not impossible, especially with the cash that Obama has been raking in. If
A few months ago, I published a post where I assumed Obama had won the Democratic nomination and I was going to begin focusing on his environmental record versus McCain's. Of course, looking back, I was prematurely ending Hillary's campaign.
With last night's election results in North Carolina and Indiana, it looks increasingly like the Democratic primary has actually reached its end. I'm not
Chris Davies, a Lib Dem MEP, is pushing the EC to adopt a directive that would require all coal power plants built from now on to have carbon capture and storage by 2030.
He recognises that the market alone will not deliver CCS and public support will be required. The EU budget is locked down to [...]
Earlier in the day I posted about an ecological measure against climate change. Mostly I've been underwhelmed by technological solutions, but a nano-powder that can capture 400 cubic meters of carbon dioxide in just one cubic meter of the powder has me intrigued. It is able to do this because it has 3.5 nanometer pores (one nanometer is one billionth of a meter). The commonly heard objection to anything nano is that because it's so nano (i.e. small to the point of practical invisibility), it's hard to keep track of and it's generally unknown the impact the particles will have when loose in the world. Still, interesting. In a perfect world we'd stop the greenhouse gases at the source.
AFP - French-led technologists said they had beefed up the performance of a nano-powder that stores carbon dioxide (CO2) in what could be a step forward in tackling global warming caused by road traffic.

This is actually my favourite track. I think. For now ;) Well, I'm presenting it then. The whole album [actually all 3 of them] have this sort of sound I describe as organic. They also bring the images of space travel to my mind. Better check yourselves and feel free to share your impressions ;)

The goal of our blogs is to help diffuse any confusion about sustainable design and building your new green home, whether it is post and beam, timber frame, structural insulated panels, or a conventionally-built energy efficient home and also how we can all be a little greener in our existing homes. You may be building a new green home and want more information on green options available to you (based on your site location, budget, and availability of materials). We also discuss energy systems, how they affect our daily lives, and what decisions you’ll have to make in building a new green home - and also let you know if we find any tax incentives (see our blog on Solar Energy Systems).Everyone’s going green (even the Oscars, The Superbowl, and the National Football League!) and talking

Fears that mankind has created a ‘planetary emergency’ are scientifically unfounded, and as such the doomsday predictions of Climate Alarmists are
