We went to a new car show this evening.  This one is the 4th Saturday of the month (there's one every weekend at a different location) at the Tamiami Airport.  It just started up last month, so this is the 2nd month.  Last month, there were some logistics problems - the restaurant sponsoring the show could not keep up with the food and drink orders, and it rained.  This month, I was surprised to see that they made some positive changes - they set up BBQs for hot dogs and hamburgers, they had several locations with coolers selling soda and beer, and had ladies walking around selling the beer from coolers (the guys loved this).  They also were serving free wine to the ladies.  On the weather side, we had a short shower but it was over quick and stayed clear for the rest of the night.  We had a great time, then went out to Longhorn for dinner (mistake).  We normally have great service at Longhorn, but tonight they were super busy which put them

It’s that thing you do when you leave the house without the kids because someone else has generously volunteered been roped in to watching your children. It. Was. Awesome. Until… (Let me back up here a moment so as to ‘splain it all.) So. You know I’ve been trying to get my pre-baby body back? And you know how I’m only a whopping twenty pounds away from my goal now? That’s like two dimes or two-decades, whichever. Anyway, I’ve been working out and eating well. Eating well means including a lot of snap peas for snacks. It also means wearing some pre-pregnancy clothes that haven’t seen the daylight since 2003. Or 2005, I forget. Since it’s our first post-baby-O date where we decided to actually go out to dinner AND SEE A MOVIE (this part is really important and thusly is in caps), I thought I’d get all dolled up

Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is a network of over 6,000 companies that provide automotive aftermarket products (body kits, accessories, etc). Each year SEM puts together a trade show / convention attracting 100,000’s of people from all countries. Synonymous with the trade show these days are the “import models” / “car show girls”. It just so happens that in 2006 Arianny Celeste was one of them for “American Racing” at the SEMA show. Apparently this year her 2007 Lexus IS will get souped up and put on display at the convention.  She’s really into cars and bikes, check out this video for “Hot Bikes, Hot Girls” as well. I recently attended Night Shift presented by HIN and Valvoline http://www.nightshiftevents.com/ The show was great, nice looking custom cars, performance by famous musicians, drifting presentation, stunt bike show, motocross presentation. While night fell the collection of marketing products became heavier in my jeans. Throughout the day small and large corporations where there to promote their products.
