Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, said there was insufficient evidence to charge Bloom with misdemeanor hit-and-run. Two minutes after posting an article on "The Trajectory of a Pop Star," I find a story about Britney Spears being charged in a hit & run.   Britney has been charged with two misdemeanors -- hit & run and driving without a valid license -- in relation to a car crash that happened last month. Spears could face a $1,000 fine or 6 months in jail if convicted (according to the AP). No word on why our justice system threatens fines or jail sentences that never match up equally.

Prison Break star Lane Garrison was in an SUV that crashed into a tree late Saturday night in Beverly Hills, killing one 17-year-old male passenger.Police are still trying to determine who was driving the vehicle, which is registered to Garrison.
