      Camera Obscura - 14th August 2001 (re-post)
Camera Obscura hail from Glasgow and were first heard on the Peel program in 1997 when he played their single "Your Sound" on his program. However it wasn't until 2001 that the band recorded their first Peel Session. Since then "The Cams" have recorded a futher three sessions plus a memorable live performance of "Little Donkey" on a Christmas program from Peel Acres in 2002.The band have released three L.P.s and numerous singles. Anyway this was the bands first session for the program. Camera Obscura - 7th October 2003
This is the third session from Camera Obscura. The previous two can be found elsewhere on this site. Camera Obscura have just released their new single "Lloyd I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken" throug Elefant records of Spain and it's guarenteed to be one of the most catchy tunes you hear this year. The bands third album "Let's Get Out Of This Country" will follow at the start of June. As far as I can make out this is one of those sessions where all four tracks remained exclusive to the session and didn't see any kind of official release.1. Greyhound Going Somewhere2. Return To Sender3. Phil & Dan4. The San Francisco Song

      Camera Obscura - 22nd January 2004
This was the last time Camera Obscura recorded for the Peel program. This is a bit of a special session in that it was recorded to celebrate Burns Night, which in case you don't know is celebrated in Scotland on 25th January. This session consists of five Robert Burns poems put to music. The result I think is some of the finest work Camera Obscura have yet produced. Perhaps they should consider doing a full album of this stuff.1. Love My Jean2. O That I Were Where Helen Lies3. A Fond Kiss4. Red Red Rose5. Cock Up Your Beaver
