      Calgon… Take Me Away!!!
Or at least give me a few shots of Bushmills… This has been a SUPER crazy couple of weeks. It started a couple of days before my parents came to get the girls for a week… Cleaning in preperation for their arrival and doing a fuckton of laundry for the girls. Then, with the girls gone, [...]

      Calgon Claritin, take me away!
Our area is known as having some of the worst air quality days in the nation. Spring is typically difficult with the fields and orchards in full bloom. We’re surrounded by them. Summer is also tough with the heat and lack of rain and winds to clear the air. Studies have been done on the [...]

      Calgon, Take Me Away
Awww…… It’s summertime, officially. And that means vacation time. Although we only live about an hour and a half from the beach, we very seldom go. And we have to drive there. And drive back. Usually itchy from sand and salt water. Not my idea of a vacation. No, what I want is to go far away [...]

Can we talk? Like don't know which end is up like back from trip and same old same old. No time to breathe...to digest what's been going on in his life. Again it's all about everybody else. That's great cuz he likes it when the emphasis ain't on him but now it's like understanding why she takes a day to go pamper herself at the spa. Gotta create some kinda like spa day. Don't know where that's goin' but yea well you get the point.

Luckily, it's not for my house! We are all much better today. The Calgon driver will be busy with all of the addresses I'm gonna send him. My phone rang this morning and my friend Julie who hosted this past weekend's birthday party was asking is anyone was sick here. After a few phone calls, she had determined that about 70% of the attendees were sick. This sounds like something that's going around. Lots of kids and teachers have it and one little boy at Austin's preschool displayed his "sickness" at the Family Day last Wednesday. All of the moms whose kids had it prior to him said that is only lasts a few hours. Thank goodness! If you'd like to send someone a Calgon e-card, click on one of the graphics in this post. And to the Calgon people...if you're looking for a new commercial idea....I think you need a multiple moms campaign.

      A Calgon Day
I think the Calgon truck missed my house today. That's a shame, because I needed a "Calgon Take Me Away" moment tonight. Most days having 4 kids ages 3 and under is great fun. When you throw in an illness or two or three, fun is not a good descriptor of our household. To add to the "enjoyment" this evening, Daddy didn't get home until bed time. Between supper time and bed time, we could have filmed a Calgon commercial. We can't seem to get rid of runny noses around here and now we may have some little stomach bug....again. I hope this is what I've been hearing about from other preschool moms. They describe it as very short. Short is good when you multiply it by six (as opposed to long and everyone starting at different times).Tonight's excitement was provided by Tyler and John. Tyler was first. He covered me in his supper that didn't stay down. We all headed upstairs for an early bath. You would have thought nothing was wrong with the splish-splash party going on in there. We all g

Since Massachusetts is about to dump our Mormon gov., Mitt Romney, on an unsuspecting nation (no, we won't take him back under any circumstances), I wondered if you'd weigh in on the Mormon thing. Do you have any feeling about what precisely the proper number of wives one should have is? What about the special underwear they wear? Is that another word for thong? WavyGravyDavyDearest WGD, Sometimes one wife is too many. This is where cloning comes in. Ah, yes. Magical Mormon Underbritches. The stains of sin are cast from the fabric with a little holy water and space bleach. All my love, JHC
