Rectifying a Stupid Conclusion - Preseason Polls
Georgia is #1, but should we care? This time of year, we often hear about preseason polls and, in response, we hear that preseason pollsters don't know much this early and so preseason polls are just entertainment. One might point out, for example, that only 10 times since the AP started preseason polling (1950) was the final #1 in the top spot before the season (17%) and, more condemning, 6 time

Conclusion – small and friendly with plenty of Zoom-ZoomThe all-new MAZDA2 is an urban vehicle that’s comfortable and safe to drive, with a strong element of Zoom-Zoom fun thrown in. While being affordable and inexpensive to run with excellent fuel economy, it delivers practically the same level of Zoom-Zoom fun as Mazda’s larger vehicles. It’s a delight to drive, a joy to own, fun to use, and the most personable car in Mazda’s lineup. For the development of this brand-new model, the perspective was broadened from a Japanese to a global viewpoint. Mazda is confident that the MAZDA2 will earn the respect of many customers and that it will strengthen and expand the presence of the Mazda brand in sub-compact-car markets. The new MAZDA2 will be produced in Japan.

As Shakespeare once said, and Stan Lee may have quoted, “all good things must come to an end.”So many posts did I write here on various ladies, and even a few men, whom I could find at least one thing done to them that could be or was discriminatory, as well as occasionally give mention to some writers and what they did wrong at their end too. It wasn’t that often, but, I did my best to see what info I could find, and even tried to update some of the entries whenever possible according to what developments had taken place of recent. In the end, I wonder if maybe it hadn’t turned out to be quite what I had intended for this blog to be. Rejuva Wand, the Conclusion
It's been over a month since my Rejuva journey began. I started on my birthday when I was feeling old at the tender age of 27 and has now ended with me feeling better than ever. Was it the wand? No, sorry folks it wasn't the wand. It's actually been my kick ass workout regiment, but the Reujuva experience did help my mood as well. Allow me to explain ... The Rejuva Wand made me giggle like a school girl every time I looked at and isn't laughter the best medicine? No but really, let's be serious for a moment. Having the Rejuva wand reminded to take care of my skin everyday. I knew that come 10:00 it was time to get my face in order. I washed, I toned, I moisturized and occasionally I rubbed a fun little wand on my face. The wand itself didn't really do much for me because honestly I am not wrinkled. The cleanser and the other tools were very useful to me. My skin has been going through a rough patch so having all of the proper tools in a 3 step program really help

As I said, my night with Martina was fun yet uneventful. We hit up Haight Street, drank our faces off, exchanged great stories, put a twenty in the juke box and tore it up. Nothing to write home about. I stumbled back to the apartment at around 3 am to find Scooner passed out on the living room floor (seems to be a trend with him) and to my total surprise he has accidental face shot German girl with him. They are out cold and I'm totally cocked, so I figure it'd be an awesome idea to pull the blanket off of them and take a picture on my phone. I got the blanket halfway off of them when this Berlin Beauty awoke suddenly and started to scream. When she screamed, I screamed. Scooner, awoken by the chaos, started to laugh. She wrapped the blanket around herself, slapped me dead across the face and stormed out, but not before throwing his blender at me on the way out, producing a big cut on my forehead and a barrel of laughs. Hey, it was her fault for coming back; those Germ

Wow! I knew that nutrition was important in dogs, and I have been conscious about feeding a good diet, but despite my best intentions, I have not been supplementing my dog’s diet to give the balance necessary for his athletic make up. I had him on a raw diet last year, on which he did well, but I learned this weekend that there is raw and then there is raw! Each dog has unique dietary needs, plain and simple. The more we are learning about canine nutrition, the more we are able to meet the individual needs of our dogs. I used to find the highest quality dog food out there and give Monk what I believed to be the appropriate amount, split in to two feedings. In Conclusion
Okay, I’m an English major. That means that naturally I have a lot of reading and writing to do. Sometimes, it’s hard to keep up with it all. I always finish my work, but it’s not always the best quality of work that I can do. So I got a paper back today with comments on it. I worked pretty hard and labored strenuously over most of the paper. It was on the concluding paragraph that I worked the least on; I just couldn’t figure out what to write anymore. The professor wrote notes on areas I could improve. Strangely enough, she wrote that my concluding paragraph was excellent. ????? I put almost no effort into that paragraph at all. Why is it the best? This happens to me a lot, to tell the truth, and it doesn’t make any sense to me. I have a hard time with conclusions and end up giving up on them just so I can be done, but this part invariably ends up being the best. I’m always told that I need more of my concluding paragraph in my paper. Is that not w

But my thoughts are with Toby and also with Jim, who fasts today and prays over the Samaritan Center, and with anyone else who fasts today.)There is still time to get another goat, as one has already been provided for and another is on the way.How has this period of devotion effected me? In some ways, the change is small. The focus on touching lives for God with both spiritual and physical blessings has been something the Spirit has been molding my life to for several years, now. So, to me, praying over groups like Compassion International, Blood:Water Mission, the Dalit, International Justice Mission, Big Brothers, Big Sisters - this is natural, a normal part of my life. But, in other

Fayette County sexual abuse case moves toward conclusion
Yesterday's Herald-Leader followed up on the on-going sexual abuse trial in Fayette County. (I was busy doing some work at my church yesterday and am just now catching up.) "Anybody who knows me knows that would not happen," said former Lafayette High School drama teacher and retired Tates Creek High School principal Robert Gardner.I know Bob Gardner. We were professional associates for a number of years as fellow principals in Fayette County and my impressions of his work were of the highest order. When discussions took place on issues of concern to all school principals, Bob was typically in the room.So when his name was tossed in with others in the Carol Lynne Maner case I was shocked. Bob seemed to be living every school teacher's worst fear - a claim of sexual abuse. How do you defend such a claim? "It's been four years of embarrassment and humiliation," he told the court. I can't imagine. That said, I don't really know the truth. Like other citizens, I'm relying on

Conclusion May Be Near In Local Portion of Vick Case
The case that just won’t go away may finally be drawing to somewhat of a conclusion, as a report says that the local investigation in the Michael Vick case may be coming to close.  Tuesday’s “The Virginian-Pilot” is reporting that the investigation into dog fighting on Vick’s property should be wrapped up by the end of the week.  The Sheriff in the case has been trying to reach one last witness, and once that takes place the case may finally move on from there. The county’s grand jury is set to meet on July 24th and they may at that time review evidence and issue any possible charges against Vick.  The case has dragged on since April, when it was discovered that there was signs of a dog fighting operation being held on Vick’s property in Surry County, VA.  Since then, there have been rumors of what may happen and what charges Vick may face once everything comes to light.  Vick has claimed since day one that he has nothing to do with any

The Three Story Beer Funnel from Hell Conclusion
Building a beer funnel like this is a recipe for disaster.*To read Part One of 'The Three Story Beer Funnel from Hell' CLICK HERE* There it was our addition to college folklore. What looked like a plastic tube dangling from the great beyond with an on/off switch over a 50 gallon trash became our signature. The only thing left was to determine the specific dangerous quantity of Golden Anniversary beer the funnel would accommodate. (I always recommend cheap beer for funnels of this size. The store was out of Natural Light that day I think.) “So how many beers you think this will hold?” I asked. “I don’t know, 3 or 4.” The correct answer was six-and-a-half beers. Not just a six pack mind you, but half a beer more. As if six hours of alcohol processing wasn’t enough, we threw in an extra half an hour. The best part was the instant gratification of consuming half a night’s intake of beer in less then one minute. I have to say we were cutting edge, we saw that trend com

In Conclusion: Final Day with Susanne Dunlap
Today is the last of our conversation with Susanne Dunlap, author of the wonderful historical-romance-mystery, Liszt's Kiss and an earlier novel, Emilie's Voice.OMMB: What can you share about your road to publication?SD: When I first started querying agents, it was my guilty secret. I didn’t tell anyone. I wasn’t a writer, after all. I was a musician, and a scholar. Forget the fact that I had earned my living writing for years, and that I had long written journals and poems in addition to my MA thesis and my dissertation. But I must have had some inkling that I was doing something worthy, because I got quite a bit of interest, and ended up with an agent only a few months after I started querying.I think getting the right agent is key. I read somewhere recently that what editors at publishing houses used to do, agents are now doing. Namely helping the author polish a manuscript for publication. Agents no longer take something promising and throw it out there to see wher

Tell him off and mean it! (Conclusion) by Elaine Davenport (Thursday, June 7, 2007)
Of course you know that as soon as I began my series on identifying Satan and calling him out to put him in his place; he set me up. But that's okay too, because that just lets me know that I'm on the right track. All is well. Just like you speak to people who make you mad with a directness, you have to speak to Satan. I don't have to act crazy when I talk to people or to Satan. This is a good example of what you can say:Satan, you have no credibility with me, none whatsoever. Now listen to me good: I see you in every false situation, you can't hide from me. You have no legal right to afflict me or mine so get your filthy hands off of this situation. You're the lowest low, murdering, stealing and lying is your profession and I regard you not! Just in case you forgot; Jesus bore all our sins and griefs on the cross at Calvary and as a born again card carrying believer, I've been redeemed from poverty, sickness and spiritual death. Nothing you can do can hurt me. I have

ConclusionA lot of times, we know that God is telling us to do something but we'll ask somebody to see what they have to say. So I asked my husband what he thought about my writing a newsletter for the subdivision. His reply was quite accurate. He said that would be out of order because there was no Board of Directors. He was right. Besides he said, we were moving. He said it was senseless for me to write a newsletter and we were leaving. I agreed. I wrote the newsletter, the neighborhood unified and I wrote many more. I began to rekindle my passion for writing and then

Conclusion of "Why Tongues" By Elaine Davenport
I suppose I need a rest. I got my sites mixed up. I am so sorry. "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries."I Corinthians 14:14I have friends who still don’t believe in speaking in tongues. So I ask you:What is tradition? I offer this answer: Tradition is simply doing things the way the other people around you do. It’s trusting man. But the Word says don’t put your faith in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Read your bible and you cannot form any other conclusion that tongues are necessary for every believer. I* wish someone had cared to explain it to me! Really. So, I need to explain how my life changed by my speaking in tongues. Out of respect for the people in my life and protecting their confidentiality; I can only say that a clean sweep was made in my household and in my family. The only person who was constantly under attack was me; but the enemy could o

He was impressionable. I am always impressed when I hear young people speak of God with great wisdom. I guess it's because when I was their age; I didn't have that interest or that knowledge. His message was about Healing. He told of a lady whom he went to visit in the hospital who had suffered from varied ailments over a long period of time. He told us a statement that never left me. He said that when he asks a person how much time they spend in prayer, he can pretty much figure out why they are in the challenges that the find themselves in.I was shocked. Mainly because I was in the challenge of my life and I had no prayer life. Then he went on to march us through the Word of God to show us how God wants healing for all who can believe Him for it. He mentioned our ability to look in t

The Free Online Art Gallery Conclusion
Back in June of last year I wrote a piece about online art galleries. I think that after all this time, it’s about time to givea quick summary of what the passing of time has made apparent. 1) Hosted online galleries do not bring much in the way of sales of fine art. In the two years since the experiment of registering with several organizations the sum total of sales directly attributable to hosted galleries is four paintings. None of these individual sales amounted to more than a few hundred dollars. I won’t name the various sites, not wishing to denegrate any of their services. I relate this as purely my own experience. 2) There are now so many of these galleries, often hosting thousands of hopeful artisans, that the chances of a visitor stumbling across your work have become less and less likely. Information overload will overwhelm most people long before they make a buying decision. 3) What does sell is very likely to be at the very bottom of the price scale. Few peop

Remodeling The Dinning Room, The Conclusion
Well, it's been a while since I've done anything with the dinning room series. I was waiting for light switch plates that we had special ordered to come in before I did my conclusion post. As luck would have it, what was shipped was not exactly what we ordered. So, instead of waiting for the proper ones to come in, I thought I'd get plain white ones and be done with it.I also want to take the time to point out another blog that has taken my idea and is running with it. You can check out his blog at this link. It's pretty cool how one can be inspired by another!Part of what I wanted this conclusion to be about is what I learned from the process. Go over some of the mistakes I made. And, hopefully, anyone reading this will not make the same mistakes. Let's take this picture.First, let me apologize for the blurriness. I need a new camera... Anyway, this is part of the crown molding. And, as you can see, I missed the nail a couple of times. Lesson learned here is that you need to use

      Gucci Sucks - The Conclusion
So a few weeks ago I shared with you my predicament about my Gucci bag. Some of you suggested that I take it to the nearest Gucci store and demand that they fix it, or at least resolve the problem somehow. I thought about Nordstrom's alleged shoe policy, where if you purchase a pair of shoes, and they become defective, you can return them/exchange them for another pair at any time. So, I figured, Gucci being the high-class luxury brand that it is, would offer me at the very least a similar deal. So, I hightailed it down to the Gucci store on Fifth Avenue, showed a saleswoman my bag and explained the story, very politely I might add. She looked very uncomfortable at the thought that a Gucci bag could self-destruct in such a way, and instructed me to speak to her manager. After assisting other customers more likely to purchase a bag that day, she finally went to the back of the store to get him for me. A youngish man came out, introduced himself as the manager - again I explained the si

      Karachi, Pakistan Trip - Conclusion
Finally I have the time to write this.I went to Karachi last week on business. It was my first trip to Pakistan, and it happened during our Chinese New Year. I was a bit reluctant to go, hearing too many security warnings, but I am glad I went. These are the few things worth sharing:SecurityIt is much better than what people told me. It really just looks like another Makati City in Manila. No doubt, armed officers (or guards??) can be seen everywhere, but it is to the similar level in Manila. Like Manila, we have to be scanned before entering any buildings. The only extra security measures I noticed, in comparison with Manila and Jakarta is, they also open and examine the bonnet when vehicles enter the premise. In a country with frequent bomb scares, this kind of safety measure is appreciated, to help protecting our lives. But I have one question, not specific to Pakistan though: how do they know my luggage in the boot doesn't contain a bomb? They didn't scan my luggage in the boot.Oh,

      Writing Help: Drawing a Conclusion
There are some books with peculiar titles. You read them, grasp their content, can gather all the author’s points together, but don’t understand how they refer to their titles. And you get a feeling that you left something out. Only after reading a conclusion you are able to understand the entire meaning of the book. Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye is one of the brightest examples of the great cooperation of title and conclusion that results in a meaningful depiction of the main idea. When all cards are revealed, conclusion writing is the only intrigue left in a book, or in an essay paper. A lot of authors use this technique. While writing an essay, you share your thoughts with the readers. Bit by bit you give out everything you wanted to say, and when it’s time to writing a conclusion, there is nothing left in your head. Then you decide to just go over everything you’ve already said. Moreover, you call this conclusion writing. Now let’s think together. You know that the Intr

      Conversation with Dawkins conclusion
Finally, it's over. Spaghetti monster can't be proven false. The anthropic principle entitles us to postulate a massive dose of luck in accounting for the existence of life on our planet. But there are limits. We are allowed one stroke of luck for the origin of evolution, and perhaps for a couple of other unique events like the origin of the eukaryotic cell and the origin of consciousness. But that's the end of our entitlement to large-scale luck. We emphatically cannot invoke major strokes of luck to account for the illusion of design that glows from each of the billion species of living creature that have ever lived on Earth. The evolution of life is a general and continuing process, producing essentially the same result in all species, however different the details. Contrary to what is sometimes alleged, evolution is a predictive science. If you pick any hitherto unstudied species and subject it to minute scrutiny, any evolutionist will confidently predict that each indi

Forest Property Right in Indonesia: Discussion and Conclusion
It has been argue above that both approaches recognized state property right over forest resources but have different point of view. CBA view state property right enforces the process of social differentiation that leads to depeasantinization. As the result, CBA would see the workers as a social class, encounter the worst impact of capitalism in forestry sector compared to concession holders, capitalist class, who get much surplus. In the other hand, NIE has different view that property right is seen as a way to reduce transaction costs. State property right should be chosen because state can be external guarantor in order transfer and exchange is possible (Stein, 1994: 1834). NIE emphasizes the objective of property right is to improve market allocation. In terms of actor involved in forest management, CBA sees that only private sector involved in forest management because state acts to support capitalist interest. on the contrary, NIE would argue that no matter of parties involved in
