There is going to be a separate Highly Recommended 'Christmas Special'. Another home exchanger living in Ireland is needed for this show, this time someone who has arranged a home exchange anywhere over Christmas.
The format for the Christmas Special edition of Highly Recommended will be the same as the original show. The chosen participants will be interviewed and then will come to the studio for the recording of the show in early November. If successful, and they convince the panel that they are saving money by having a home exchange holiday at Christmas, they will win €2000.
