As many of you know, this blog used to be entirely about love and relationships. I am a former dating columnist for an online magazine, and I created this site to talk about my experiences with dating and relationships, as well as give advice to those who ask for it. As the site progressed, I got a little burnt out from writing about the same topic day in and day out. I guess you could say I'm

Welcome to Mary's Sound Bytes. Each week, we will review (and hopefully appreciate) a song and/or artist. This song could be from any genre, any era. It could be Latin or Classical or 60s pop. The sky's the limit.I am a lifelong music lover. While my tastes lean toward Latin anything (even some Latin rap), I love big band, 40s, 50s, 60s crooners, easy listening (as long as it's not elevator music) jazz, classical, pop, rock, broadway tunes, and new age. Our home collection is extensive and eclectic, to say the least. You'll find Brahms (my favorite classical composer) as well as Perez Prado, Gipsy Kings, Ottmar Liebert, Astor Piazzolla, Bobby Darin, The Beatles, Barry Manilow and Donna Summer.Without waxing too poetic, I will say music is a friend and companion that goes on the journey wit

The folks in Cupertino have been a little busy today. Apple has announced that Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) will ship on the highly rumored date of Friday, October 26, 2007. They published a list of the 300 new features.
Also if you live in the Michigan area, Apple will be opening its 5th store in the state. The Apple Store, Partridge Creek, opens its doors at 10:00 a.m., October 18th. As usual you can expect lines and free t-shirts to the first 1,000 visitors. Apple stores are doing very well and the ones we already have here are constantly PACKED with people.
Aperture vs. Lightroom: What do Pros use?
I get the question a lot of "what’s the difference between Aperture and Lightroom?" and of course I respond "just buy Lightroom." Actually I’m kidding. I explain that while I can tell you about the features of Lightroom quite extensively, I’ve never really used Aperture, so I’m going to be a little (ok a lot) biased. However, our good fri

Today’s highlight would be of great interest to those who love to work with children. Summer camps are common in Europe and US but for other parts of the world, look at it as your children’s long dull school holidays. It is more or less the same since every parent in the world would groan in thinking what they can give to make their holidays worthwhile. Tom Marx, the CEO of Bits, Bytes & Bots Computer Adventures™ got this great idea to establish an exciting alternative for children in 2002. This idea was mooted after going through his very own disappointing experience with common summer camps for his own children. We are absolutely delighted with his business idea and really saw potential for it to grow. His business franchising opportunity can be categorized as a hi-tech technology education program for kids in a target age of 6-14

Kate Beckinsale to play title role in
Sam Raimi on Hobbit Rumor, Spidey 4, and a New Fantasy Flick
Sami Raimi told EW that he’s interested in directing The Hobbit, but only if Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson approved. If Raimi takes on the project, he might not be able to fit Spider-Man 4 into his schedule, though Sony Pictures has said they plan to make the sequel with or without the director.
In other Raimi news, the Spider-Man helmer will produce an all-ages fantasy adventure about a cynical guy from New York who is forced to go to a land untouched by modern civilization to save a village and a princess from fiendish fairy tale creatures, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project’s title is being kept under wraps, but has franchise potential for Columbia Pictures.
