      Busy Weekend Ahead
Tonight my writing group meets. It's a small, intimate group with a surprising variety of writers. Our WIPs cover everything from poetry, to children's fiction, to SF&F. Tonight I'm planning on reading from the first few pages of my paranormal romance novel so I can get some feedback on where I started and whether or not I have exposition in there to satisfy the reader. I was tempted to re

      Busy Weekend/Called to Travel
What a great weekend! Thursday and Friday morning we led worship for a small mission conference of about 30 missionaries from all around the world who are currently on furlough. We gathered at Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia. It was awesome to hear their stories and to share in some prayer time and fellowship together. Our friends Scott and Stefanie Spruill came with us to help lead. Scot

      Preparing for a busy weekend
Somehow I seem to have had a fairly chilled week and a half, and now I'm craming a huge amount of activity into the last couple of days before the return to work. Today I'm heading across country to visit L, my friend from uni. She texted me a few weeks ago when she was having a particularly tough time and wondering if she needed to go on meds. J will be looking after the kids this evening whil

As we were setting up, we could hear a marching band nearby. Dogwood is walking distance from Rim of the World [...]

      Busy Weekend!
Hello everyone! how's your Saturday so far? Mine was good. I just came home from my dental cleaning appointment this morning and after that we went home and just had our lunch too but our son was going to take a nap, so I decided to just get online and update some of blogs today. Later today we will go to buy some groceries or something that we need, for my small birthday party tomorrow, so I was kind a busy though since I have to clean our living room, kitchen, and bathroom as well for tomorrow's event. Well, it's my first time to have my birthday at home, since for being here in US for 3 years, I always celebrated my birthday at the restaurant. But I wanted to save money as well as for my in laws to save some money too. So, for this year, I decided to have it at home then, and maybe,

I have spent a lot of time doing little things around the house including paying a lot of attention to my better half.-Friday sucked for me. I again allowed myself to get out of a position too damn fast. Made $10 on a short that I could have made $180. I also picked a couple of stocks near the end of the day that made new lows by a tick or two only to run back up. In both of those cases I only lost a little but frustrating anyway.-Monday looks to be a new battle. Worst MLS Photo Of The Day - A Double Dose Since It Was Such A Busy Weekend
Besides clutter in general, open toilet lids is the most prolific form of worst MLS photo that I find. Rarely do I ever see one from this high of an angle. At least it’s clean. Busy Weekend
These are some random pictures from our weekend. The only night I didn't have the camera with me was Friday; I went to a poetry open mic event. Above are pictures from my oldest son's basketball game Saturday afternoon. (I forgot the camera for the earlier game where my youngest played.) Unfortunately, while my oldest did fairly well in the game, his team still got spanked. After showers and

      Outfit for a busy weekend
I played a little with polyvore.com (I even put a little cute background there, see?) and here is the result. I was thinking at an outfit suitable for a busy weekend, you know, when you pick up the threads of your social life, finally going shopping or showing up at a cultural event or going on a quick trip - that kind of busy. Chic, flirty and comfy. read more

Waking Up at 4 AM And Getting Ready For A Busy Weekend
It's Saturday morning,I am supposed to be sleeping in. But my dream of sleeping in is once again thwarted by my body clock. My eyes opened up at 4AM, my mind started thinking about the many things I need to do and so no matter how hard I tried to get back to sleep, I couldn't.This is going to be one busy weekend for us. Hubby has a Hapkido Belt testing at 7AM today. That will probably take the whole morning for him. I'm excited for him. he's been taking this Hapkido classes every Tuesday and Thursday and this is his first colored belt testing. I'm sure he's pass the test.At 9 AM I am going to a craft fair gathering at Jori's house. This is one gathering that I had always missed in the past, no matter how much I wanted to come, because there's always a conflict in schedule. This year I can make it there - yehey! It's a wonderful craft fair so I am going to bring my camera and take lots of photos for you to see.At 11:00 AM I'm going to a Women's Group Luncheon at Hope C

      busy weekend ahead
With a busy weekend up, I’ve to run few errands since we have three weeks left before heading for our family vacation. I’m not someone who’s good at numbers or anything financial so even for things like my checking account, I’ll have to get DH to settle that for me. Then, I’ve a wedding to attend on Sunday and attending my mom-in-law’s birthday lunch… whew, it looks like it’s going to be  busy, busy, busy weekend… how are you spending yours?

Trio of House Wall Tiles, handmade stoneware tiles fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln, soldI've had a little bit of an online sales drought the past few months. Could it be because I've had a scarcity of new work? I've been working so much at my daughter's school as a sub, that I've had little energy at the end of the day to create in my studio. A good bit of the time, I've been filling in as a special education para-professional since the beginning of school working one on one with a delightful young girl. Yesterday, I had a bit of good news - it looks like a full time person has been hired to fill the position permanently. I will still be filling in as needed for teachers, but expect my sub assignments to be more sporadic in the near future. It's perfect for me now that my clay class has been approved and I can concentrate on getting back to work in the studio doing what I love. I already have 5 students signed up for my class with a lot of verbal interest from parents a

      A busy weekend!
We spent the weekend running around here there and everywhere! On Saturday, Wesley started his Junior Bowling League. He is on a team with 2 other boys his age and they all did great. One boy has cerebral palsy and has no use of his legs. "A" has braces and just pulls himself around with his hands. Wesley was great and helped to hand the balls to him when A became tired of the back and forth! I was surprised that he never asked us why A was not using his legs. After that we took him to a friends party. While Wesley was there we headed to a family cookout to visit with some family from Virginia. After the cookout we picked up Wesley and headed to Leah's birthday party at Vertical Dreams in Manchester. My camera battery died, so I only have a few pictures. My sister in law took some of Michael climbing and Wesley sport climbing! In these pictures he is "bouldering". I will get those from her soon, I hope! I was so happy that Wesley was willing to climb at all. Especially with the harnes

The Roundup - Busy Weekend Edition
This was a really busy weekend for us. We had several friends and some family over to the house the last couple of days. One of our friends came over and we helped her with her wedding album and to look for her first house. I think she’s really excited about searching for the new house. Saturday night, Melissa’s parents came into town unexpectedly (they were going to drive in on Sunday morning). Not only did they come in early, they had a serious car problem on the way down and we had to find a new part for them. Everything worked out great in the end, and we had a fabulous dinner and a great time visiting. Overall, I’d say it was a pretty darn good weekend. I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to catch up on my blogging or keeping up with my blog reading, but here are a few of the articles I read : Golbguru at Money, Matter, and more Musings, brings up some great things to consider about your security online. Busy Weekend
I’m having yet another busy weekend. Next weekend will be slower, I think. Though I love everything I am doing, still sometimes I like to sit on my butt and not do anything for a couple of days. Yesterday I groomed a placed collie, went to see Harry Potter IV again (loved it!) and then went to flyball with Chase. He so loves flyball. He can’t get enough. Then this morning it was to agility practice, and that went really well, too. My trainer is amazed, as am I, at how good he is doing! I thought it would take much longer. Today I don’t have to do up any wedding invitations thank goodness, LOL, but I am taking four dogs to the vet, then delivering Sonny to his new home. Whew! I might be back by 8pm or so, not sure yet.

      Busy Weekend All Around
Today we are going to the nighttime Zoo for a bit.  After an exciting week of being on call (READ: Eric’s work wore him thin all week.  The pager went off almost every night in the middle of the night.  YIKES!)  It will be good to do something as a family and it will be nice to get out! Tomorrow morning, I am volunteering bright and early for the Balboa Park 4 Mile Cross Country Run.  Then, Sunday, I will do my long run on Coronado Island.  It is going to be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to it. I have been reading some books on eating raw food and becoming a vegetarian again.  (THANKS AMY!)  At the very least, I want to get rid of the inflammation and the up’s and down’s of eating processed foods.  I know they are killing me and I hate it.  I am still waiting for the public library to send me my DVD of the Rave Diet, my books on eating raw and my Rave Diet book from Amazon.com.  Hopefully, I can find a way to get healthier and feel better. I lost 1.

It's only a small feria but the kids love it.On the Saturday we went to the beach in the morning which was lovely. I love the beach in the morning, it's generally really quite and has a real fresh feeling about it. I even got to read a newspaper whilst the kids played. Bliss! In the afternoon we went to a birthday party of the daughter's of one of our friends. Managed to stuff my face silly with cakes and crisps....well what other reason is there for going to birthday parties?!Then in the evening there was a "cavalgata" in Sabinillas which is a parade through the streets of some floats to celebrate feria week. Busy Weekend
It's been a rather crazy weekend here in the Roth faux-house (only because it's temporary). Grace's Aunt from Guam paid a visit Friday night and into Saturday. Grace's sister and three nieces from San Diego are also here. As you can imagine, it's a bit cramped and chaotic. On Saturday I woke up super early in the morning and flew to Phoenix for the day to visit our house and make sure things are in order. While I was there we had two potential buyers take a tour. I'm crossing my fingers that someone will make a good offer soon. We have to sell by January (we'll explain why at a later date). I flew home in the evening and reunited with the rest of the family. Unfortunately, that evening, after waking up at 4 a.m. to travel, Zane had a very restless night. He woke up about five times. He woke up for good at 6 a.m. this morning. Way too early! This morning (Mother's Day), the entire family went to our favorite breakfast restaurant, the Pancake House at Green Valley Ranch Resort & Ca

Busy weekend, messed up my blog!!!
Lisa has been here since Wednesday, and we have been very busy. Eating out all the time, I am becoming my own version of "SuperSize Me". Now it will be a tradition, I pick you up from the airport and take you to "In and Out" burger. We picked up Lisa and went there for lunch. Yummy! Thursday day, Evan stayed longer at preschool and Lisa and I did some shopping (also tried a greek place for lunch, again, yummy) then picked up the kids from school and headed straight for the Pacific. It took us about 25 minutes and we went to the State Park. It was awesome, there was NOBODY there. It was unbelievable. The kids just ran around the sand, it was actually too cool to go in the water. I can't wait to go back when I have more time. Friday when I picked the kids up from school was very interesting, the kids had a "lock down" drill. I don't know if I have explained this to you or not previously, but there are "ranch houses" and each ranch house as a K,1,2,3,4,5 and a family room, li
