For example today’s post will be about business cards and why I literally ‘broke necks’ and have the user wanting to know more about me. A business card is a quick information about your or your company on a 3.75 * 2.25 piece of paper. That piece of paper can even be plastic with rounded corners, but does that really get your prospects attention? Again a business card is a quick snapshot of who you are or what you do. It is providing a quick information resource to your end user. Simply just handing it out does not mean anything; will they contact you later in the future? Will that person decide to give you a call o

      Utilizing Innovative Business Card Ideas

They represent the company in the industry, inform the people about the company and promote the company. Effective ones leave a long lasting impression about the business. When they are creative they can enhance the reputation of a company in the market.Considerations for Creating Effective Business CardsKeep some considerations in mind while selecting business cards. The size of the business card should not be more than 3 by 2.5 inches. It must be able to fit in a wallet.Choose a theme for the card that suits the company. For example, for the fashion industry, create a colorful business card with a modernized sketch of a girl with designer apparel. In contrast, for a funeral business, such a colorful card is not suitable.Too many images on the card will create a mess. Keep the card simple. Be creative with limited images.         A good friend of mine just had new business cards printed. He had moved his company address. He went with a sort of traditional printer. This was sort of a sideline for the printer and the cards did not come out until four months after my good friend had moved. Like a lot of things, the internet has changed ways of doing business. You might not have thought of applying it to your business cards, but it can make a big difference. I want to tell you about a resource that I’ve been a big fan of. What is the resource? It’s overnightprints.com. I’ve used them now for several of my business cards. They’ve done a terrific job. The prices are very reasonable. I can’t recall exactly, but it’s the neighborhood of $50 to $70 delivered for 1,000 cards. What I really like most is the quality. They have an option for a glossy finish. You can have it on both sides of your cards or just on one side. I have it on both sides, but I might go non-glossy on the back next time, in order

You can see the horizontal card in the post Business Card for Art Business. I do like the fact that the images are a little larger so you can see a bit more detail. But it also feels awkward to me that the list of types of work I create are not visible at the same time as the images themselves. Given the variety of my work and mediums (as discussed last week), it has been a conundrum for me trying to decide how to represent myself and my work. For clarification, the border around the card is so you can see where the card begins and ends.
