It snowed here today! The first snow of the season. Which would be exciting, but instead of snow it was more like “Crystallized Bullshit“. A term recently coined by Jen. But I have to use it. Because that’s exactly what we got. A snow that started so promising but ended up as crystallized bullshit.

One of these days I am going to throw up on watching/reading testimonials from “real people”. I haven’t really understood the fundamental purpose of these testimonials. Do they really impress people into buying shady stuff? Are people really so dumb uninformed that they easily get suckered into emptying their pockets after hearing testimonials from “real people”? Do they really believe that a $50 booklet will make them $100,000 a month? or that a $59 bottle of pills will reduce their weight by 30 pounds in a month?

The bipolar community has become hung up on semantics. Some swear that 'Bipolar Disorder is a disease, not a disorder'; some argue that it is actually 'Manic Depressive Illness'; and some contend that it is in fact 'Bipolar Disorder'.
Personally, I do not give a flying rat's ass what it is called. What I care about is how it affects lives - millions of lives. We shouldn't be squabbling over what to call the damned illness. The energy spent bickering over semantics would be better put to use looking for safer treatments or even a cure. We should also be working together to educate others about what it is and its effects - that would reduce some of the fucking stigma and discrimination. That is what bipolar people really need.

I recently got a new job and I followed standard procedure and gave my current employer two weeks notice before my departure. So next Monday will be my last day and I am in a little slice of hell. Three words come to mind: Are. You. Serious.
Top Design is bombing, since the only ones watching it are those mourning the end of Top Chef and impatiently waiting for Project Runway. Is now really the time to be starting another reality competition, especially on a premise as lame as hairstyling? Don’t get me wrong, I love getting my hair done (in fact, I just got 11 inches cut off to donate to Locks of Love, but that’s a different story)…but this really seems to be pushing it.
