Pentagon trials bugged bugs as new-age spies
(Op-ed) Nick Turse - Tomdispatch.com   Biological weapons delivered by cyborg insects. It sounds like a nightmare scenario straight out of the wilder realms of science fiction, but it could be a reality if a current Pentagon project comes to fruition. Right now, researchers are already growing insects with electronics inside them. They’re creating cyborg moths and flying beetles [...]

Bugged - Need Support from Other Bloggers!
Sorry folks I am just not in my normal up beat mood today - I am bugged. Bugged by what, you ask? Well, guys I am really bugged by how people misinterpret others without even bothering to ask for an interpretation. I mean really, what happens when you ass-u-me? Yep, you make an ass of you and me! “Who cares!” Some will shout. And you know what, your absolutely right, but come on, we are humans and we humans have feelings and we humans get bugged. Today, I find myself offended by the misinterpretation of my blog. “Why are you doing a blog - is it some sort of therapy prescribed by a therapist?” “I just don’t get it, it’s just a series of your ramblings” “Keep your thoughts to yourself”. “Oh my, others are going to read what you write, won’t you be embrassed?” Oh the list goes on……. My response has basically been: I blog because I want to. I blog because I like to write. I blog b

      Guilty Gear Accent Core... Bugged
If recent reports are to be believed from Neo-Arcadia.com, the home release of Guilty Gear Accent Core is fraught with a number of errors and bugs that were not present in the original Naomi release. It seems as though the differences are bad enough that a Japanese blog has set up an ongoing list of all the errors that people have experienced while playing the game. You can visit the blog here.I haven't had a chance to play my version of the game yet (the postman dropped it onto my doorstep only yesterday), but it does seem that those people who were expecting an arcade perfect conversion are going to be deeply disappointed. I'm working on getting an english translation of all the bugs and errors, and when that is complete I'll post it up as well.

An Invisible Bug that Bugged a Tester for 17 days!
What could be the biggest impact of a bug on someone’s life? Ask me. And my answer would be dark circles under your eyes! Yes, dark circles. I have spent many sleepless nights due to a bug during past 17 days! And this bug was not a member of the family of bugs, which I usually catch daily while testing the Products in my office. Rather, this was a bug in my own blog on Software Testing! Yes

How To Tell If Your Cell Phone Is Bugged
If you're not on a call, and you hear a continuing rapid buzz-buzz-buzz in nearby speakers that lasts more than a few seconds and gets louder as you approach with your phone, well, the odds are that your phone is busily transmitting, and bugging is a definite possibility. Note that this particular test is much less reliable with non-GSM phones that use CDMA (e.g. Sprint/Verizon phones), since CDMA's technology is less prone to producing easily audible local interference. This strongly suggests that CDMA phones may be preferred for such bugging operations. A variant form of CDMA (called "WCDMA") is used for the high speed data channel (but not the voice channel) on new 3G GSM phones. Since voice could theoretically be encoded onto that channel as I mentioned above --which would be harder to detect than the main GSM voice channel --this is a technology that will bear watching. Most of this applies to bugging in real time. If delayed bugging is acceptable, there is another approach

      Porsche Bugged by Babyphone
TTAC slots all its blog posts into categories. I sometimes have trouble figuring-out which box to tick. If I'm stumped, I can create a new category. But then I have to wonder how many posts will fit the new attribution, and the wisdom of creating a drop-down menu that's longer than an E85 producer's list of tax deductions. And then there's the name of the category. For example, this post could go into "We Can't Make This Shit Up," "and "Who Believes This Shit?" Or both. I mean, c'mon. If you were a VW Board Member or union official who wanted to eavesdrop on Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking-- as Wendy's in full takeover mode looking to kick some major status quo ass-- why would use a baby monitor for the job? But it's true. Or not. Spiegel
