Also known as William Joel “Bucky” Covington III, this country music singer from North Carolina made 8th place in American Idol’s 5th season. It’s been all uphill from there.
Shortly after leaving American Idol, Lyric Street Records picked him up. From there, he released a single called “A Different World”.
Last years American Idol drop out Bucky Covington has said that he is grateful to Simon Cowell for being so mean, the thing is millions of people tune in to the top TV show just to see Cowell dishing out some nasty insults to people who believe they can sing but in truth they cannot and Simon is one to tell them what he thinks, and it is because of that attitude that has made Bucky become more noticed, many people have said that both Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson have decided to take the nasty approach this year also but Bucky remembers they weren’t all that nice to him last year, he feels that they have not changed at all maybe the people are just worse this year
