Pat Buchanan is once again shooting his mouth off about Israel. From Holocaust revisionism to describing AIPAC as “Israel’s Fifth Column” here in America, Mr. Buchanan is revealing himself for the anti-Semite he is–exactly the sort of hate-monger William F. Buckley tried to rid the Conservatives of years ago.
Here’s a tidbit from his Townhall column:

It is an admittedly easier task to criticize the work of an off-beat crank than that of someone who has many redeeming qualities and resonant opinions. "Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.
Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.
This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:
First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here th

It is relatively easy for progressive-minded people to dismiss Patrick J. Buchanan as a nut. The political pundit and two-time presidential candidate has made various statements over the years that are dismissed as bigoted, narrow-minded, or reactionary. We believe that, particularly at this point in our history, it is important to understand Buchanan’s assertions in a way that might help to shed light on the problems with racism in contemporary America.Lately, Buchanan has gotten attention for his on-air comments and blog postings about race. Rather than exploiting snippets of his most controversial statements, we chose just one example for This Week so that we can dig deeper into the way this influential commentator (and those who agree with him) processes American history and cultur

Pat Buchanan, like Sen. Obama an early opponent of the Iraq war, compares the results of the U.S.’s old-school approach in the Middle East to those of the neocons:

Call them different efforts to cash in on what looks like a product with infinite potential or simply bitter rivals, the Indian Cricket League (ICL) and Indian Premier League (IPL) are trendsetters. You can also call them cause and effect but John Buchanan feels these can also be looked at as parallel lines which will converge sometime in the future. Here as part of the gala launch of the Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL team captained by Sourav Ganguly that he will coach, Buchanan told HT this was not wishful thinking but an assumption based on history. "It was the same with the Kerry Packer series or the tours to South Africa at some point in time. If you look at history, you will find instances of things calming down in course of time."The Australian who never played for his country but ho

Yes, I actually believe that Patrick J. Buchanan was responding to Pat Robertson's endorsement of Rudy Giuliani. Why? It came up in comments written in the digg submission for Joseph Farah's column about Robertson's endorsement, that Robertson is a 33rd Degree Mason (True?) and this makes sense now that we see who Rudy's advisers are! FORMER Australia mentor John Buchanan has been named as the ambassador for Cricket Australia's coaching accreditation program. Buchanan will run seminars around the country and will help determine the direction of coach education as part of his position with the Cricket Coaches Australia program. After ending his stellar eight-year stint with the national reins with the 2007 World Cup triumph in April, Buchanan had been linked to a consultancy role in Pakistan. "After retiring as Australian coach I have been looking to stay involved in cricket in some form so I am excited to be taking on the ambassadorship with Cricket Coaches Australia," Buchanan said. Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said regaining Buchanan's services was a major boost. "John will have an active role in working with volunteer coaches at the local level and also promoting the importance of coach education programs and CCA membership," he said. AAP
In the first part of this clip, you could see a scene with Nora and Clint and the chemistry is undeniable. I could see them as a couple easily, maybe even marriage, he deserves so much better than Dorian and Nora is the one. They would be cute as a married couple, I’m all for that union, please TPTB make my wish come true and make them truly fall in love. It will most certainly cause fireworks between the Buchanan brothers but Bo seems more immersed in the whole Lindsay drama anyways. I don’t know, perhaps they can have something that can come between their bond as brothers because if my memory is wrong there hasn’t been one woman. That would be a fun storyline, if Clint begins to see Nora, will Bo get jealous or will he endorse this union entirely- any way it goes, I’m interested.

Roy Buchanan - You`re Not Alone(1978) 320kbps While not exactly a 180-degree rotation from the thoroughly enjoyable funk-fest on A Street Called Straight (1976), Roy Buchanan's subsequent album, You're Not Alone (1978), is an exceedingly more polished affair with a completely new cast of studio musicians. The instrumental space-themed effort may have worked well in the midst of the undue hype that Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind were glutting the media with. That said, modern listeners may find the concept trite and at times, downright boring. It is against that backdrop that Buchanan's typically aggressive fretwork is somewhat incongruously juxtaposed. This certainly doesn't discount the drive and passion of his fiery solos, or his profound ability to carve out poignant textures with undeniable heart and unquestionable precision. An apt example is the extended and subdued "Fly...Night Bird." Behind the rote and otherwise perfunctory support, the guitarist soars, s

I’ve had some people comment on my post about Roy Buchanan and how I discovered him by catching a video of him playing “Hey Joe,” asking why I didn’t post the video or at least a link to it, so I am.
Here’s a link to the initial article I wrote about Roy: Rediscovering Roy Buchanan; Blues Guitar Legend
And here is the video:
Sorry for the short post but I just love this version so much that the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to post the actual video. Special thanks to YouTube, as that is where the video is hosted, and to JackBurton for uploading it.
Although I’m very passionate about my music, my guitar playing and blues, I don’t in any way consider myself an expert on any of these topics. I’m always open to new artists and a lot of artists that have received high praise from other musicians I simply haven’t had the chance to listen to yet.
This will explain to some why I had never listened to Roy Buchanan till recently.
When you read as much about music, guitars, guitarists and guitar playing as I do there are certain names that continue to pop up as major players in the guitar world. People like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Peter Greene etc. Most of these people I had heard of and typically I’ve listened to their music for years as have many people. Probably everyone familiar with rock and roll has heard of Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix and people who know classic rock can easily recognize Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. One name though, Ro
