Do you know what takes most of my time when I’m duty at the hospital? It’s regulating and checking the IV flow rate. Yup I’m so obsessed with getting the number of drops perfectly that if I have nothing to do I check the drop rate over and over again. It’s supposed to be checked by the hour but I guess I over do it and check it every 5 minutes or so. What can I say? I’m afraid that the patient might get under-infused or worst over-infused and this could lead to hypervolemic shock or heart failure if the patient has a serious heart problem. I treated myself to a decadent kind of evening. Today was a 'Maya' day - I went to lunch with her and her class and then read to them after lunch (four books!).  There are things when you are in a group of five and six year olds that I just forget, or don't notice, when I'm hanging out with just mine (or add only a couple of her friends). After watching and re-watching this video, and once I picked my jaw up off the floor, I was left feeling a bit irritated. For a Candy Addict this video is irritating on a number of levels - first, there is no info on how to replicate this yourself. What sort of gum is she using? Is there a certain amount of chew time required before it becomes elastic enough? How many pieces is she chewing? Do you need to wear a hideous evening dress and have a trendy hair style to achieve it? Is it also an ad for leg wax? (watch the video to see what I mean.) Elephants in Myrtle Beach?  My mom sold a house on the Intracoastal Waterway and the new owners discovered they live on the same road as Preservation Station.  The Station is home to all kinds of animals– tigers, monkeys, and elephants who have been trained.  You may have seen them in movies like Dr.Doolittle and The Jungle Book. Ava's got a new obsession. She can do this all day and it keeps her pretty occupied. I once left her in her crib for twenty minutes after she woke up from her nap because I thought she was just singing - it sounded like "mooaaah, mooaah". She sounded content, and I was giving Cameron a bath. When I came in her room, I saw that her entire front shirt was soaked! Scientists of the University of Twente (The Netherlands) succeed in speeding up the fluid flow in a micro channel using tiny and rapidly imploding gas bubbles that also provide a new way of mixing fluids within a lab-on-a-chip, without the need of complicated external components. Isabel has been having flu and cough for nearly a month already. Yesterday, when DH was carrying her… She blew bubbles with the mucus, on her nose!! She played with it and had fun with it! Aiyoh! So messy, we quickly wiped that away. But, she just looked so adorable. And she looked at us innocently, giving us the look of: “What’s wrong? I’m just having fun!” She has learnt how to get entertained with her sickness.
