Greetings!
I am a student at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Following Obama’s victory of the 2008 Presidential election we (ASU students) witnessed extreme police brutality and racially charged chaos in our area. Below is a statement of what went on. The media is [...]
France has been putting out a number of surprisingly good horror films in the past few years, and I was happy to get a chance to see Pascal Laugier’s Martyrs this year at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Martyrs begins as a combination of psychological horror and revenge. A young girl named Lucie escapes from a [...]
Perhaps King Jay of The Latin Kings in North Carolina is ahead of his time. King Jay has talked to us about the police brutality and injustice in this interview and his lead for peace amongst the gang community, but leave it up to Police to further prove that the South is still very prejudice. In this case, Black Officers abuse another Black Man. May King Jay recover from his recent shooting an
Barefoot and with his wrists handcuffed behind his back, Cedric Benson walked slowly in front of two Travis County officers who had escorted him late Saturday night into the Travis County Central Booking Center.
There were three other men being detained in the holding room Benson entered and, unlike many people in Texas and Chicago this week, they barely reacted to Benson's arrest on Lake Travis

A strange silence was heard in the absence of comments from European nations regarding the brutalilty shown toward Turkish workers on May 1. May Day, a traditional workers’ holiday, is ordinarily marked by festivities and workers marching with banners to proclaim their solidarity with the working class. But, in Turkey, it is normal work day, [...]
Today, society as a whole has a tendency to define most actions taken or carried out by police officers as forms of police brutality.
To fully understand the implication of the word, one must look at the beginnings, of said word. The word brutality originates from the Latin word Brutus, which translates [...]
The drama that has engulfed the people of Zimbabwe over the past few weeks is now drawing to a conclusion as the curtain drops and the players leave the stage. In place of those who represent the people of Zimbabwe will be a gang of thugs and mercenaries who are being paid to intimidate, beat [...]
From Relevance of Hesse today The politics and writings of this Nobel Laureate are particularly relevant in this, his 125th birth centenary, because he had the courage of his convictions to protest against German militarism in the years during and after the First World War. On November 3, 1914, Hesse wrote an article that hurled him into the maelstrom of controversy. Sharply critical of his colleagues who had defected to the "camp of the super patriots", Hesse pleaded for an upholding of the historic standards of German culture. Hesse implored for the defeat, not of foreign nations, but of "unreasoning war and modernised brutality". The results were immediate: his books disappeared from bookstores and he was lambasted for being a traitor, and unpatriotic pacifist. This call to

Just face it HINDRAF, police brutality is common everywhere in the world and that includes India. I’m not saying that we should endorse or condone police brutality though. I’m against violence but you folks should understand that violence and brutality is synonymous with any law enforcement agencies. Related Post: Who taught them to do such a thing, MOSSAD? Rodney King was shot Wednesday night while riding a bicycle in San Bernadino, California. According to Rialto, California, police, who responded to the shooting, King was shot with a shotgun, but his wounds were superficial.
King became an international symbol as a victim of police brutality when his videotaped beating by Los Angeles police in 1991 after the conclusion of a high speed chase made

This is something that I wrote about two years ago, about an Israeli police offier who committed an act of violence against a right-wing protestor during the disengagement monstrosity, totally out of line in any democratic society. Now, he and another one involved in this have been convicted of their crime, which in my mind was done out of their political positions(?):(IsraelNN.com) The Tel Aviv Magistrates Court has found two policemen guilty of brutality against an "orange" anti-Disengagement protestor - thanks to an on-site video taken by Arutz-7 journalist-cameraman Tuvia Lerner. The two Yassam-unit policemen, Eran Naim and Eliran Avraham, were found guilty of beating demonstrator Akiva Vitkin without cause during an anti-Disengagement road-blocking demonstration on June 29, 2005. Naim is seen in the video appearing to be trying to pull Vitkin's nose off by sticking his fingers in his nostrils from behind and pulling up, and Avraham later beat Vitkin repeatedly in the police statio

The Daily Collegian of Massachusetts provides me with a reason not to waste any time on Mark Millar's Wanted:In "Wanted" by Mark Millar, a young man named Wesley, who despises his miserable life, learns the world is really run by super villains. His morals and ethics are progressively stripped away, until he becomes an utter sadist, murdering and raping at will. On the final page, scores of bodies later, the protagonist shouts insults at the reader, a triumphant monster. The message of the comic is casting aside your inhibitions and embracing a life of brutality is a positive, liberating experience.Oh...my...god. This is what all these years of comic book publishing has led to? Shudder. No wonder I did not want to waste any time on Ultimate X-Men years ago when it began, and, as I later discovered, Millar wrote a story in which Ultimate Wolverine abandons Ult. Cyclops in a deep valley, all so that he can go back and seduce Ult. Jean Grey for the purpose of sex. Just what kind of entert
