Deciphering the current political trends and developments within France’s Muslim community is likely to challenge the most knowledgeable pundits for some time. But, what is clear is that the Muslim Brotherhood has made incredible strides in becoming France's most important Islamic organization, and toward taking control of the Muslim Community’s principal representative organization - the Conseil Francais du Culte Musulman (CFCM), . The CFCM was created by the French Government in 2003...(read more)

The recent elections in Egypt were marked by pressure exerted upon candidates who ran as members of the Muslim Brotherhood. In 2005, Brotherhood candidates who ran as independents were able to secure about 20% of the votes. The organization is barred and more than 800 of its members were arrested prior to the April [...]

A bedouin (desert dwelling nomadic person) came to the blessed Prophet Muhammad and asked him on the following topics, followed by counsel of the Prophet. True wisdom is timeless, hence exact similar traces of wisdom can be found from enlightened ones of all ages, all traditions.Bedouin: I wish to be the richest person in the world.Prophet: Be content and you will be the richest person in the world.on similar note Buddha's saying as appearing in Dhammapada, "contentment is the greatest wealth."Bedouin: I would like to be the most learned of people.Prophet: Fear God with Holy Fear and you will be the most learned of people.similarly Proverbs 1:7 declares, "The holy fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge (gnosis) …" Bedouin: I would like to be the most just of people.Prophet: Des
Doug Farah's post about the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report (GMBDR) item in which the Muslim Brotherhood gives written advice on how to vote Islamic is quite disturbing. The most ominous thing is that they appear to be doing this within the U.S., even as we speak. Coincidentally, the GMBDR contains another article about how an American Muslim organization has asked one of the Presidential candidates to avoid referring to "Islamic terrorism," as if religion is irrelevant to the violent actions...(read more)
If one wants to get a more realistic picture of how the Muslim Brotherhood and its international legacy organizations view voting and the democratic process than the usual platitudes of their public discourse, it is well worth reading the Guide to Voting in Islam, posted by the Muslim Association of Britain. This document and commentary on its content was first posted on the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report, available for a free subscription. Because in political Islam there is no difference...(read more)

The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhod has recently displayed rather cautious behavior such as refusing to participate in strikes against the government. There apparently is considerable fear among its leaders that President Mubarak is seeking an incident of violence which would allow him to use the full power of government in order to completely disband the Muslim [...]

An act of violence, of terrorism, shook America 40 years ago today. The assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King still reverberates as America struggles with racial politics and with terrorists - those who choose violence to achieve their political aims over King's courageous devotion to non violence. As we pause to remember King's sacrifice, we see that the Muslim American Society (MAS) has the gall to compare a committed jihadist with Dr. King. In a news release issued Wednesday, MAS called...(read more)
Ali Abdel Hafeez, who left the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood last year created a new storm of controversy by labeling Islamist movements as “perversions” whose existance only leads to divisons rather than solutions. “Islamist movements, ” he told the Daily Star, “are perversions that stunt creativity and growth.” He argues a basic problem with groups such [...]
The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has been facing continual harrassment by the government of President Mubarak which seeks to crush a group that offers firm opposition to the current administration of the country. Khaled HamzaMarc Lynch over at Abu Aardvark writes of the Muslim Brotherhood's attempts to become part of the democratic process, but is stymied by the Egyptian government, which has rolled back democratic reforms, and the passive, if not negligent stand, taken by the US government.Check out this sidebar on the Muslim Brotherhood from columnist Mona Eltahawy.MB and Democracy, AgainOne of the main axes of debate has long been the (Muslim) Brotherhood's commitment to democracy, both as a process and as a normative ideal. I've argued throughout that at this point, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood - to say nothing of Islamist movements such as the AKP - have done pretty much everything they could reasonably do to demonstrate their commitment to the democratic process, often paying heavy costs

My personal review:This is the kind of game that a fan of good RPG games such as Diablo will love to play! You can expect some great graphics and a vicious gameplay that will make you feel like if you were desperately willing to play this game over and over again. I can't recommend this game to the users who don't enjoy that particular type of game, still I bet that you will love to play this beauty and that you will have a great time doing that! I really hope that you can enjoy this game during this Christmas holidays!Gamespot review: It seems somewhat curious that Sony Online Entertainment, the company that popularized the term "massively multiplayer" with EverQuest, would not capitalize on the fairly rich universe that's grown from its seminal online role-playing game for its first game for the PSP, a hack-and-slash RPG called Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. Unlike the EverQuest-derived Champions of Norrath games, which serve as the template for Untold Legen
There are two places where the Muslim Brotherhood exercises governmental power-Sudan and the Palestinian territories. That is, where it controls the levers of the state. It seems to me it is worth looking at these states to see how the Brotherhood would govern if given the chance, and to see the real agenda of the organization that claims to represent moderate, modernizing and tolerant interpretations of Islam. For an excellent summary of why the Muslim Brotherhood is such an important topic, see...(read more)

A most interesting development in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Texas has taken place: As the Dallas Morning News reveals, the Muslim Brotherhood's goals in the US included replacing the Constitution with Shari'a law (Hat tip: Hot Air):
Amid the mountain of evidence released in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial, the most provocative has turned out to be a handful of
The Egyptian government has banned the annual social gathering of members of the Muslim Brotherhood as part of an escalating effort to destroy opposing voices. Hundreds of members of the organization have been arrested in the past few months as Mubarak demonstrated his authority. In 2005, the Muslim Brotherhood won 25% of the vote for Parliament, but Mubarak doesn’t agree with their ideas. Last week, four editors were sentenced to one year prison terms for defaming President Mubarak. One had the nerve to write that 79 year-old Mubarak might be in poor health.
Unemployment is rampant in Egypt, particularly for college graduates. In an effort to deal with the problem, the Mubarak government announced a new employment initiative. College graduates will be hired to push around carts and distribute bread to the poor.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is trying to reproduce Hamas' experience in Gaza. Tariq Hasan, a columnist for the Egyptian daily Al-Ahram, wrote: "In Egypt there are those who are trying to reproduce what Hamas did in Gaza. For anyone who has the slightest doubt about this and wants proof, it is sufficient to consider statements by Brotherhood representatives in parliament. They said that Egypt waved the Zionist flag, despite the people's opposition to this. This means that Egypt, like the Palestinian Authority, deserves a revolution! "The Brotherhood, like Hamas, does not recognize the legitimacy of the parliament that ratified the peace treaty with Israel, nor the legitimacy of the state that ratified these agreements, since [in its view] it is a traitorous state that works for foreign interests and that does not represent its people. From these statements we understand that the Hamas problem is not [limited to] just Gaza, but it is also in Egypt, and that the Brotherhood holds th
Osho writes, "Every religion, upto now, has divided life into two parts, and while they accept one part they deny the other. Krishna alone accepts the whole of life. Krishna alone accepts the body in its totality. And he accepts it not in any selected dimension but in all its dimensions."When one read the life of Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace, one can see the same truth. All dimension of life come into full manifestation in the life of Muhammad. What role he didn't had to take up? He didn't depend on others for his life, didn't sit there in a cave, temple or jungle hoping that his companions will feed him. He was a faithful merchant and earning person in his earlier days.He was a complete family man tending to the mundane needs of his family. He would help her wives cook, would mend his own shoe or clothes without asking other to do it. He was unlike any other prophet or spiritual guru who would live out of the troubles of everyday life and talk high things all day. Rather

Family Security Matters has a four-part exclusive article by Adrian Morgan giving the history of the Muslim Brotherhood and its jihad against the west. Here are the links to the parts below:Part One.Part Two.Part Three.Part Four. You'll get to learn how they were founded, who their demonic founder was, how they expanded their murderous activities from Egypt to across the globe, Switzerland being one of their first financial sources, and even about the Brotherhood's sympathies for nazism. Some of the news here, even if it's unsurprising, is still quite chilling and shocking.
Almost since the beginning of the current debate over the nature of the Muslim Brotherhood and engagement vs. confrontation policy with the “moderate” group, one theme has been repeated by those who favor dialogue with the group. Unfortunately, the central argument is a fabrication, spun by the Muslim Brothers seeking to blunt the history of [...]
One of the interesting threads emerging on the debate over the Muslim Brotherhood is the comparative weight of the “reformist” wing of the _Ikhwan_ versus the “Qutbists” who follow Sayyid Qutb’s teachings on the need to destroy the West and create a Muslim world, governed by _sharia_ law.
Qutub’s works, particularly “Milestones,” are widely cited [...]

Wall Street Journal: 'Brotherhood' Blogs In Egypt Offer View Of Young IslamistsExcerpt:"Ms. Essam is one of a growing number of young members and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood, a fundamentalist Islamic group in Egypt, who have joined the blogosphere in recent months. The Brotherhood, which officially renounced violence in the 1970s -- though group leaders endorse "armed resistance" in lands they consider occupied -- says it wants an Islamic state through peaceful means that respects the rights of minorities. The Brotherhood has branches outside Egypt and spawned the militant Palestinian group Hamas. In Egypt, it is a growing force and constitutes the largest political opposition group. But some of its views and activities remain highly controversial."http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB117703590678076464-FN6LgUHvvecfLvH9_gbdHuHp2II_20080419.html?mod=rss_freeAlex
FrontPageMag has a must-read article on the Muslim Brotherhood "Project", a top secret plan for the conquest of the West.[...] What makes The Project so different from the standard “Death of America! Death to Israel!” and “Establish the global caliphate!” Islamist rhetoric is that it represents a flexible, multi-phased, long-term approach to the “cultural invasion” of the West. Calling for the utilization of various tactics, ranging from immigration, infiltration, surveillance, propaganda, protest, deception, political legitimacy and terrorism, The Project has served for more than two decades as the Muslim Brotherhood “master plan”. As can be seen in a number of examples throughout Europe – including the political recognition of parallel Islamist government organizations in Sweden, the recent “cartoon” jihad in Denmark, the Parisian car-burning intifada last November, and the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London – the plan outlined in The Project has been overwhelmin
There is a fairly well-known and significant Islamic text by Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali, (1058 - 1111 C.E.) outlining ideal attitude of one Muslim towards another: brotherhood. In this text 'brotherhood' isn't the squabbling rivalry of siblings, but a relationship of mutual respect and material support. It is described as having different levels, but one could summarise much of the teaching in one particular line:The Muslim is a brother to the Muslim. He does not do wrong tohim, does not forsake him, and does not betray him.I was watching a TV interview last night with a couple of young Muslims (in the UK). One was expressing this brotherhood by saying that it was like they were all one body: if you hurt the foot in Iraq would not the hand in England want to protect it? The main problem I find with this argument is the fact that Shi'ites and Sunnis are attacking each other so enthusiastically in Iraq. It would seem that certain hands are more intent on blowing off their own feet than
An Irishman walks into a bar in Dublin, orders three pints of Guinness and sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When he finishes them, he comes back to the bar and orders three more.
The bartender asks him, "You know, a pint goes flat after I draw it; it would
taste better if you bought one at a time."
The Irishman replies, "Well, you see, I have two brothers.
