Country singer Garth Brooks is releasing a new album at the end of this month. In 2001 the now 45-year-old country music star said  he was officially retiring from recording and performing music. Instead he decided to be a stay-at-home dad. He married another country music singer  - Trisha Yearwood in 2005. Being a stay-at-home dad lasted longer than I thought it would. The Ultimate Hits album will be out at the end of August. I’m disappointed that it’s a complilation CD, but at least there will be 4 new songs. There will also be a DVD of 33 of his music videos. If you want to see Brooks live, you’ll have to wait. He won’t be touring until the kids are out of school. Looks like Garth Brooks is planning on releasing a new boxed set called “The Ultimate Hits” on November 6th. Just in time for Christmas! The first single from this CD set will be released on August 27 and it will be called “More Than A Memory.” Definitely can’t wait to hear that one! The new boxed set will contain 3 CD’s containing 30 over his older hits and a few news songs, including a duet with Huey Lewis. It wil also include a DVD with videos for all the songs. One of the biggest country duos ever, Brooks & Dunn, will be back in the saddle Oct. 2 with the release of Cowboy Town via Arista Nashville. Entertainment Television, thanks to all of the celebrities who have recently decided to get into the drinks business.The latest addition to the group is country music star Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn fame. This past weekend Arrington Vineyards opened in Tennessee. Brooks is a partner with Fred Mindermann and Kip Summers in the vineyard. Arrington is Williamson County’s first commercial winery. Eleven different wines available for tasting and purchase at the winery. So far, the winery is the only place you can purchase the Arrington label.
