I was sorely tempted to just put this video on and not comment on it at all. It’s one of those YouTube entities that need no explanation, but, I’ll give it one anyway.
First off, the title is wrong, it should be Midget Breakdancing Vs Midget Capoeira apparently. I didn’t know that, but according to some of the commenters on the original post, the topless guy is doing the Brazilian martial art… so there! Regardless of what he’s doing, he’s not actually that good, the first guy that goes up against him is awesome! I’ve never really thought about it before (I mean why would I?) but I suppose vertically challenged people would generally and very stereotypedly (word?) be good at breakdancing, what with the lower centre of gravity and stuff. Oh, I don’t know, it’s just funny ok, don’t ask me to explain.

Do you think Mummy will allow me to stand on my head like that? It looks pretty neat! Somehow face-mashing has kind of lost its appeal. Time to try some other stunt maybe?
How do you say Airflare-Windmill Combo in Chinese? So yeah, this is my latest project. Translating the entire site for 龙舞堂 aka Dragon Dance Studio. Arguably the biggest and best breakdance studio in the city. I've already translated their text mesages for their next event。Last time I did a huge translation like this, I was translating Du Mu for my fourth year project as a Chinese Major at Middlebury College. Not too many folks can do this cause besides translating the material into English, we have to make this thing sound really hip-hop. But I love the crew. This is what I've been wanting to do for a minute! Wish me luck!
On the 24th July, I finally sorted out why my left hip was locking up and also
why I couldn't walk more than a few hundred yards before the pain made walking
unbearable. Below are 3 pictures taken from within my hip joint.
The procedure was carried out in London by one of the only surgeons in the
country to carry out Hip Arthroscopy. It was carried out as a day surgery and
I was out of hospital about 2-3 hours after the procedure was completed (I
was at the hospital at 7am, only to wait until 3pm to go down to theatre, but
that's a different story). Afterwards, I was able to walk out of the hospital
on crutches, go through the London Underground at rush hour, and catch a train
back to my home town and still be home for supper.
The image above shows a piece of cartilage that had been floating around inside
the joint. That is probably the reason for my hip locking up as it would get
caught up when moved in a certain way.
