Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been out for a month now, and it's been a monster success. Certainly it was the most anticipated Wii game, but I'd say overall the most anticipated game on any Nintendo system in a long time. I like the game a lot, too. Nintendo of America has quickly issued a report explaining the problem and how gamers can get it fixed.According to Nintendo the game utilizes a double-layer disc with a large memory capacity. “A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. US reviews are out and to nobodies shock the game has been receiving positive reviews across the board. All of the reviews I've read so far have been glowing like the index finger of ET, but do call the game on a few things. Aspects of the game which kept cropping up as criticisms have been: the platforming sections in the Subspace emissary mode, Nintendo's 'no communicaton whatsoever' policy where online play is concerned and some of the characters being mere clones.Despite Sakurai's 'everything but the kitchen sink' approach it seems there's still room for bigger and better things for Super Smash bros., which bodes well for a sequel. Although it's a bit early to be be speaking of such things - especially non-importing UK gamers such as myself and my fellow gamers down under in Australia.
