Beliau mulai khawatir, “Mengapa tempat seluas ini begitu kosong, yang nampak hanyalah teratai ini?. Siapa aku? Darimana aku dilahirkan? Apa yang harus aku lakukan? Anak siapakah aku? Darimana aku dilahirkan?”

Thousands of the followers of Brahma have apparently had it with the racial/social bigotry of their religious brethren and have decided to join Buddhism in protest. Brahma has been conspicuously silent on the whole matter while human representatives are insisting that Buddhism is just another way to say Hinduism.
This latest conversion is considered the largest (estimates put the crowd at 5000) and goes back to Bhimrao Ambedkar’s conversion 50 years ago also in protest of the Hindu “untouchables” dogma and the Indian caste system.
What I haven’t been able to find out is if this actually changes anything for those who convert as it relates to their dealings with Hindus. It seems strange that a simple ceremony can absolve you of the burden of the One True Religion™ places on you for the misfortune of your birth.
A Taça Brahma de Futebol, torneio de várzea que contará com mais de 9 mil atletas, começou neste fim de semana - sábado, dia 26. Além de uma grande oportunidade para se aproximar ainda mais deste esporte, a cervejaria aproveitará a ocasião para realizar diversas ações sociais.
A primeira delas aconteceu na retirada dos uniformes dos participantes. Os atletas foram incentivados a doarem alimentos na ocasião e todo o montante arrecadado será destinado a uma instituição de caridade.
Outra estratégia da Brahma ligada ao social envolve os bares. Cada um dos mais de 380 times participantes deve escolher um estabelecimento para ser seu local de comemoração. Com isso, a cervejaria criou uma ação que prevê uma reforma completa para quem juntar o maior número de latinhas. No final, todas serão doadas programa Reciclagem Solidária Cooperativa, um programa sócio-ambiental da Recicloteca, maior ONG de reciclagem da América Latina mantida pela AmBev.
