This time, around 43,000 units of the Sparkle City Charm Bracelets and Tack Pin Sets have been recalled as there are concerns that if ingested, the high levels of lead in the jewellery will have adverse health effects. The charm bracelets in question have silver-coloured star and butterfly charms and clear and pink beads hanging from a silver coloured chain. The Tack pins are silver with butterflies or stars with clear and pink beads. The product was sold nationwide in Big Lots stores from August 2005 through to August of this year. Cherrydale Fundraising have today recalled around 45,000 of their decorative Stretchable Aqua Bracelets after it was found the bracelets contain high levels of lead. The bracelets were sold at various dollar stores, liquidators and schools as part of fundraising. They cost between $1 and $12 and were on sale between September 2003 through April 2007. The bracelets in question are stretchable, with silver-coloured square links and aqua coloured beads. On the packaging, the number SKU#5384706813 is printed. Cherrydale Fundraising and the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission are advising consumers to stop using the recalled bracelets and take them from young children. I just saw Tori Spelling on The View and she was giving away two bracelets from her jewelry line to each audience member. The hammered openwork cuff bracelet and the simulated jade bracelet were the gold bracelets that were being offered. The wide honeycomb looked pretty from my vantage point, but I have found that many goldtone bracelets and other jewelry items look best in small sizes. If the item is too big, it just looks fake. I was wondering if anybody had seen the Tori Spelling jewelry line in person and could comment on whether the yellow goldtone looks like yellow gold or is it just yellow metal? The latest version of her LED Bracelet was also part of the efashion show during the UnRavel event this week. Leah created the first version of the LED Bracelet back in 2005. Four million units sold in vending machines from November 2005 through March 2007 for 25 cents contain harmful amounts of lead.Consumers are urged to throw away these bracelets immediately.
