      Good Morning & Bon Voyage
Yes, the day has finally arrived! I have been dreaming about this trip since I found out about it last May! In 3 short hours I will be heading to the bus station to catch my bus to O'Hare, and then my actual flight leaves at 4 PM central time. I did not get through my entire to-do list, but that is typical of me! I usually throw way too much stuff on it. Some of the stuff on the list I will actual

      Bon Voyage
Well, I'm off again on my travels. I got back from Scotland on Wednesday night quickly unpacked and re-packed to leave for France today. I leave in just over 15 minutes to catch a train to Birmingham and then a coach to PGL's head office in the Ardeche. Then for me it's another drive over to the Alps for my season of raft guiding the Durance. It should be good, but it's just a shame I've had to leave so many people I love and call friends behind in Scotland. I know I'll keep in touch with them all, but I won't see them face-to-face now until the end of August which puts a big downer on everything. On another note: I'll have my laptop with me in France and there's an Internet connection on site so I can keep the blog updated as and when things happen and not just a huge dump of posts wh

I know that even such a little span of our friendship bonding and to her family, Merniel is very happy back to her work again. To Merniel bon voyage friend and thank you for sharing your time with us. Even though she’s back in Saudi we still communicate with each other through e-mail and sometimes do chat to YM.

      Bon Voyage!
So my Disney Cruise experience was absolutely amazing!  Little did I know about a month ago that I would be traveling through international waters and to Disney’s private island, but I’m so glad it all worked out.  Some friends weren’t able to make it on to our cruise, but they intend to travel on later dates. It was still very enjoyable.  It was so nice to be able to get away for a few days and do whatever I wanted to, weather it be relax or go see a movie or to a scheduled event or other such activities.  At dinner we sat with another two parties, one couple also works at Disney as a part of the International Program here, while the other was a mom and her daughter traveling from Canada.  Something else that was pretty neat was that I got a chance to get a behind the scenes look at two of the main galleys on board.  Not only that but we got a tour from the Chef de cuisine of the ship.  It was interesting; he had so much he wanted to tell us such as the fact that dining

      BON VOYAGE VONAGE
Shares in Internet phone service Vonage fell below $1 yesterday amid mounting concerns the company will be run out of business by patent problems with rivals Verizon and Sprint. Vonage was hit with its second major legal setback in two days when a federal appeals court upheld a ruling that Vonage's technology infringed two Verizon patents. The decision bars Vonage from using the patents in its core technology for making Web phone calls and leaves the company on the hook for millions of dollars in damages. The original court ruling ordered Vonage to pay Verizon $58 million in damages and 5.5 percent of future royalties, but an appeals court, which rejected a third patent infringement claim by Verizon, ruled those numbers need to be re-evaluated. In a statement following the ruling, Vonage Chief Legal Officer Sharon O'Leary said it's "business as usual" for the company, and claimed that Vonage already has figured out how to work around the patents. But Blair Levin, a telecom

Another one is off on his travels. Our eldest son and his lady are off to China for a year to teach English. They go on Sunday morning. I know that they will be OK, they have each other and they have travelled before but I will miss them. It seems like a very long way away and for a very long time. I am very excited for them and honestly think that to travel and see some of this world is a great thing to do, also a year is not so long. But I will miss them. Sometimes I think what I miss is all the little dappers sitting around our table with us worrying about a new school bag, or what to give them for tea. At the time I didn't even think about it, it seemed to go on forever and it seemed as if it would always be so. It didn't and it isn't, they grow and leave and make their own lives. I am happy that they have and I know that when they return, full of travellers tales, in need of a holiday or a place to relax we will be here. Bon voyage my son, take care and e mail us a lot. Bon Voyage
24th June 00:04amAnyway we’re driving through France trying to catch some sleep. However I can’t. The day kicked off early as I had to be in Dover at 1:30, two hours before the ferry departed, to catch a coach with a Plymouth boy’s school, get the ferry across the channel and head south to my centre. This meant over twenty-seven hours of travelling. Fun! I did spot a couple of English cars in France laden with boats heading for home. Hope the trip was worth it. I made it to Dover in good time, but as the clock got a bit nearer to three and there was still no sign of my lift I started to get even more worried. I rang the emergency contact number that PGL gave me, got the number for the coach driver and got a progress report off him: “Here at 4:30.” I sat around a bit longer waiting in this period I heard chatter from across the room that sounded PGLish and it turned out it was some more recruits, which I would be travelling with. They were even more wo

Not only do we love travel kits because you can get on the plane but they’re a great way to try more than one product in the line to see what you like. PHiLiP B Travel Kit ($30 @ philipb.com) is 4-2oz bottles of their best sellers in one cute zippered case. The two shampoos have SLS’s in them so if you color your hair, you may not want to use them. African Shea Butter Shampoo (for all hair types – contains vitamin B5 – no fragrance), Scent of Sante Fe Shampoo (very gentle – 10% pure plant extracts of sage, Pinon, and Juniper Berry), Deep-Conditioning Crème Rinse (contains African Shea Butter, Wheat germ and soy protein), Peppermint Avocado Shampoo (contains extracts of peppermint, avocado and 16 plant extracts).

      Bon Voyage Malu!
After this I promise to never post anything about you-know-who. Promise. But I just love this letter...OPEN LETTER TO MALU FERNANDEZNow I'm not one to openly court controversy, but this lady has got my knickers in a twist.I'm referencing to an article I found on Bryanboy.com which can read here:PART 1PART 2Dear. Malu FernandezFIRST OF ALL, How nouveau riche can one get? Did you marry rich? Did you suddenly come in to money? Your blatant displays of your 'luxuries' and 'wealth' and your comfort with using the word 'elitist' to describe yourself alongside the fact that you had to reference to 'politicians in your family' show that even if you did come from money, you certainly have no class. You also seem to need to name-drop in every article that you write. It really gets to me that you should complain about the coach seats on your Emirates flight. Honey, they aint small... YOU'RE FAT. Spare yourself some doughnuts and maybe your travels will be more comfortable... coach, or no

Rajeev is on his way back to Bombay for a couple of weeks and the cats & I are already in withdrawal.I just dropped him off at the airport, and the apartment is strangely quiet. The cats are sniffing the area where his suitcases were, pacing around like little tigers, and I know they'll be pestering me for double attention. The cats have trained Rajeev well. They demand daily early-morning cuddles (on the couch for Bailey, in the bathroom for Leica) and he absolutely can't say no. I think he loves them as much as I do. Tomorrow morning they're going to get a rude shock when they realize he's gone and they're left with That Chick Who Doesn't Care How Cute We Are If She Hasn't Had Enough Sleep.

Bon Voyage Jenny of the Klan
Today Jenny of the Klan, along with many of her fine friends, attempted to show , despite my contrary position, it really is necessary to have hate crime legislation and impose censorship. They repeated their warped viewpoint ad nauseum in the comment section. If they had not been so annoyingly repetitive, I really wouldn't have minded. This is because having it sit there is like having a pile of dog poop in your living room--you certainly notice it for what it is.But too much of it is like--well, a big pile of dog poop.So I shoveled out most of the crap and put the blog on moderation until they find somewhere else to play.I hope Jenny will accept a suggestion from a Catholic lesbian. With all this work, I think you and your friends need a vacation.I suggest London. For your convenience, I Googled the directions from Boston to London. Please pay particular attention to #5: Bon Voyage sweetie.

We embark to far away lands today. To a different part of the world. Far away from Christmas lights, bustling streets and crowds of shoppers. My sons, and I. Away, for two whole weeks!
