So since I’m currently “under the weather” in the employment arena I have started to do a little work with my father in law until ether he hires me full-time or I find another full-timejob. This meant that I spent the weekend with him up in Boise and McCall, Idaho running various errands in regards [...]

Sometimes I remember my prior night’s dream best when I am going to bed for this night. As I laid down tonight this happened to me again. Just bits and pieces really… I remember going up north for something, it didn’t seem dog related though but that is the only reason I really go up there. And I was with a couple of friends, a man and a woman.. and we piled in the back of a car… or wait was that another dream? I am getting them mixed up tonight.
Anyway once we were up north we decided that we wanted to make a bigger trip out of it and while most of our party was going to go south to get home, we were going to go to Boise Idaho. And I saw it on a map and it was mountainous and looked like fun, and near the ocean kinda like Seattle.
I would love to go to Seattle… Boise, not so crazy about.
Here is an XLT night in Boise with Matt Maher as the worship leader, and giving a talk about the Eucharist being the source and summit of the Catholic life; being the point we journey from and journey to.

Nampa, Idaho Real Estate Pro - George TallabasWe are big fans of George Tallabas because he approaches real estate the same way we do - he alway puts people first...not houses. If you ask him, George will tell you his real estate business philosophy is “if I take care of my clients/customers needs and show them respect, my production will take care of itself.” George Tallabas is twice as effective for you because he is fluent in both English and Spanish. He also has developed the nation's first bi-lingual hotline to give his Idaho home buyers information in both English and Spanish. So how does that benefit all George's home sellers in Idaho? He can help more home buyers which means your home is exposed to all Nampa home buyers.Whether you are looking to buy a Nampa home, relocate, or sell a home in Nampa Idaho or the surrounding areas - George Tallabas is a great choice! While we are big fan
by SanDiegoSteveOr should I say something is rotten with the Boise State football program? Many Fresno State and Boise State fans have characterized me as Boise State Enemy #1. I think of myself as a strong detractor and unrelenting cynic. To those who know me I truly believe in self reflection pertaining to my professional and personal growth. I embrace the Japanese concept of “Kaizen” or change. I have reflected on my opinion of Boise State football in light of the Donks 13-0 2006 season. I have sought out the opinions of those I trust and across the board the feedback I have received only hardens my opinion of the Boise State football phenomenon. The information that was shared with me comes from first hand trusted sources. What can be labeled as hearsay and what can be labeled as fact could be debated. Regardless, the overwhelming opinion is something is rotten with Boise State football and the stench may soon be far-reaching. So much that a certain racist, inbred organization in
As we all know Boise State beat us to a New Years day BCS bowl. We also know that Boise pulled the upset by beating Oklahoma 43-42 on a heart stopping Statue of Liberty play that surprised everyone including the Sooners. While Boise was pulling the upset of the year in Glendale, Arizona everyone back in Fresno had to be wondering "How did Boise possibly achieve the goal that Fresno had set for
Monday night we all watched Boise State dominate Oklahoma for three quarters only to have to pull out a victory in overtime 43-42. First and foremost let me tell you my view of this game. Boise State should have won this game easily. This game should not have come down to trick plays for the Broncos. This game should have been put away in the third quarter but wasn't. However, I am not going to take away what the Broncos did. In the end they won against a top ten football team on the national stage. Boise finally came through and beat a team while everyone in the nation watched. However I want to address a point I have been hearing since this game was put to bed. Since Boise State finished 13-0 I have heard numerous reasons why their should be a playoff. I today will construct that playoff for you just to show that a playoff will never work in college football (at least not in today's game). Just so everyone knows I advocate a playoff because I feel that is the single best way to c
Seldom do I ever comment on sports at SOTUblog but that policy is about to go out the window following tonight’s Fiesta Bowl between #7 Boise State and #9 Oklahoma in Glendale, Arizona.
BSU took an early lead and eventually won it in the first overtime on two masterfully-conducted trick plays — a Hook and Lateral and a variation of the Statue of Liberty — to edge the Sooners, 43-42. (An eager college football fan already added the two plays from tonight to their respective Wikipedia entries.)
I am going to join the chorus of amazement, and side with The Mighty MJD in calling this perhaps one of the greatest college football games, if not ever, at least in recent memory.
To add to it all, Ian Johnson, the BSU runningback that scored the game-winning two-point conversion, asked his girlfriend — a BSU cheerleader — to marry him. You would have thought this was a TV movie. (You never know, it may become an ESPN Original flick.)
Until one, or both, of the plays
The Yankees had a case of extreme bad timing with their "Yankee Santa Claus flying a plane" Christmas ornament released days before the Cory Lidle tragedy. (Thanks to reader A.J. for the link) While writing stories about Kevin Pittsnogle and Ike Taylor, I neglected to wrapup the Pens game. So I'll leave that duty to the Pensblog today. Regulars know "bern1" from the Mondesi comments section. And he just started a blog, so you can read more of his musings at Joey Porters' Pit Bulls. Check out his "Deuce vs. Duce" preview of Sunday's matchup. SI.com says the Pens are the 11th-best NHL team in their new Power Rankings.Meanwhile, SI.com says the Steelers are the 22nd-best NFL team.Bill Simmons sorts out the first week in the NBA. He fails to mention the impact of Cavs games airing on FSN Pittsburgh. The Ike Taylor benching has resulted in the closure of the Facemeike.com storeBoise State sticks it to ESPN, like each of us dream to do every day. How's this for a movie concept: Dennis Rod
Last night, Boise St and Oklahoma University played in the Fiesta Bowl, and if you missed the ending it's a must see!Too bad the game ended at 1am EST, but I stayed up and watched it anyway!Until someone shows me something else, this has to be the greatest and unexpected ending of any sporting event I have seen in my life.
Possibly the best ending to a college football game in a long, long time. Boise State pulls the "Statue of Liberty" play out to beat the Oklahoma Sooners to win the Tostito's Fiesta Bowl. Here comes all the talk about getting a playoff system in place now that Boise State won...some are even saying that they should have a chance to play The Ohio State.
Many of us have already heard of Boise, but few of us probably do not know what this name means, so I will describe some interesting information about this great city that offers an excellent lifestyle that have long attracted new residents to the region. Boise is an historic city, is the heart of Idaho's Boise-Nampa metro, it already was rated by Fortune Magazine as Number 1 on its 2005 list of Best Places for Business And Careers ( Boise mls ). Is one of the best cities to live with style and to make business at a low cost, these is the reasons why the people still coming into the city, it's a great with a lot of history. The Boise real estate market offers a huge amount of choice for prospective homebuyers; here you can find new homes for single-family in a range from the low-$100,000s up to about $2 million, with many options available. Here can find also a condominium/townhouse market smaller than the single-family homes but with an interesting range of home prices
OK, it's time to get to that argument I teased in Monday's weekend wrapup...So I'm watching the Colts/Chiefs playoff game with my Dad and a huge debate breaks out. He keeps telling me that Boise State/Oklahoma was the most exciting game of all time. I agree that it was up there, but I tell him he has a short memory. I argued that the Steelers/Colts playoff game in January, 2006 was equally if not more exciting, based on the roller coaster ride that was the fourth quarter, and that it at least belongs in the discussion. And I also made the case that the USC/Texas Rose Bowl in 2006 was a more exciting game than BSU/OU given the stakes at hand. These games were all exciting for different reasons. In the case of Boise State, their program had never experienced a win in a game so big, on such a large stage. The Steelers, on the other hand, were playing this game as part of an unprecedented run through the NFL playoffs. No six-seed had ever won a Super Bowl or won three road playoff games
