'The inside story of how the Bush administration pushed disinformation and bogus intelligence and led the nation to war'
From: The Lie Factory   It's a crisp fall day in western Virginia, a hundred miles from Washington, D.C., and a breeze is rustling the red and gold leaves of the Shenandoah hills. On the weather-beaten wood porch of a ramshackle 90-year-old farmhouse, at the end of a winding dirt-and-gravel road, Lt. Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski is perched on a plastic chair, wearing shorts, a purple sweatshirt, and muddy sneakers. Two scrawny dogs and a lone cat are on the prowl, and the air is filled with swarms of ladybugs. So far, she says, no investigators have come knocking. Not from the Central Intelligence Agency, which conducted an internal inquiry into intelligence on Iraq, not from the congressional intelligence committees, not from the president's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Bo

Out and Out Bogus Story by the AP
      - Scott Miller As you know, Americans are constantly bombarded with misleading headlines and stories from our mainstream socialist media. This one is so egregious and blatantly misleading it’s quite pathetic: CIA destroyed tapes despite court orders WASHINGTON - The Bush administration was under court order not to discard evidence of detainee torture and abuse months before the CIA destroyed videotapes that revealed some of its harshest interrogation tactic The CIA destroyed the tapes in November 2005. That June, U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. had ordered the Bush administration to safeguard “all evidence and information regarding the torture, mistreatment, and abuse of detainees now at the United States Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay.” U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler issued a nearly identical order that July. Here are some guesstimates on the money-maker question: According to a recent letter from the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to all 50 governors, available data suggests degree mills are "at least a $500 million enterprise and growing rapidly." Meanwhile, two widely respected degree-mill experts, John Bear and Allen Ezell, say in the subtitle to their 2005 book on the issue that degree mills are "The Billion-Dollar Industry That Has Sold Over a Million Fake Diplomas." Deceiving ‘devotee’ makes bogus image of Sai in the Moon
It is noteworthy how far devotees will go to try to deceive others that they have experienced Sai ‘miracles’ Why they bother can be explained, for example, by the extra popularity and respect they hope to gain from other blind followers for being ‘blessed by Svami with a special darshan’  and for other selfish reasons. Well, it so happens that the moon on October 23 was not full but was still ’waxing gibbous’, as can be seen from the following image taken from the astronomical website http://stardate.org/nightsky/moon/ This shows the moon two days before full moon. Full moon did not occur until Oct 26  04:52, according to NASA.   However, the falsifier who put together the deceptive image presented a completely circular moon. Why would any devotee make such an image of Sai Baba on the moon and circulate it unless it was to create the delusion - one sustained independently by numerous claimants at this location  - that Sai Baba DID actually ap

They are also annoying, and in the case of DVDs, unskippable.Last Wednesday, the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), asking the Commission to take a number of major corporations to task for their misleading and intimidating copyright warnings.Targets include: the NFL, Major League Baseball, DreamWorks, Morgan Creek (producers of "The Good Shepherd"), and the book publishers, Harcourt and Penguin.CCIA's also started a petition that will be sent to the FTC - sign it here:http://defendfairuse.org/take_action.htmlRead the CCIA complaint:http://defendfairu

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) wants you to know you may not get what you're paying for when you buy eggs boasting omega-3's for heart health. They believe egg producers are using the omega-3 buzz word to extract higher prices from health conscious consumers, even though their eggs don't stand up to the FDA criteria for heart healthy foods, due to their high cholesterol and saturated fat content. Other egg producers simply mislead you with their fraudulent labeling tactics, such as basing their claims on two eggs, instead of the official serving size of one egg. Or, by using the over-blown claim that their eggs have 25 percent less saturated fat than regular eggs, which amounts to less than half a gram--a pretty paltry difference. The seven egg producers included in the CSPI's complaint include: Land O Lakes' Omega-3 All-Natural eggs Eggland's Best Safeway Specialty 3 eggs Gold Circle Farms The Country Hen Full Spectrum Farms Eggs really are on
