Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is the oldest beach front amusement park on the west coast. Since 1907 this historic boardwalk park has thrilled millions of happy visitors. The main attraction, the world famous Giant Dipper roller coaster is a California State Historic Landmark. The Boardwalk also has classic carousel, built in 1911, which has 342-pipe band organ to play music to the riders. Admission to the park is free and the views of Monterey Bay are spectacular. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk is a classic example of an early California beach amusement park. The boardwalk is also the starting point for Santa Cruz beach train.The beach train take you on a three hour trip from the Santa Cruz Beach up the San Lorenzo River Gorge to Roaring Camp. With it's beach front location and entertaining rides and attractions the Santa Cruz Boardwalk will please visitors of all ages.

Today I decided to go to a place called the Bass Hole Boardwalk for a long walk to exercise and breathe some good fresh ocean air. My fiancee
showed me this beautiful place a few years ago and I have been coming here ever since. For those who don't know were it is located, you can find it in the town of Yarmouthport off of Rt. 6A to Grey's beach. The view of the water and marsh land together is really a site to see. The boardwalk is 868 Ft. long and if you walk up and back three times it will equal one mile. Also when you look down into the water you can see small fish and some fiddler and horseshoe crab. I took a few pictures so you could get some idea of just how great the view is. It's a good place to take the whole family for the day.
