Hey fun - and it’s about time. This has been bounced about for the past year or two: Confirm your ticket online, click and send to your cell phone, then show your phone boarding pass for gate access and boarding. According to Chris Null’s blog 240 airlines have already adopted a universal standard and agreed to the logistics and processes of utilizing this method.
One concern I have is RETURNING from overseas to the U.S. If these are delivered via text message can I still access it from a location where I don’t have service? But overall this is great. Everyone from age 8 to 80 has cell phones, especially when traveling. This would create fewer lines like these, and less steps in the departure process.

What I always tell people is that there is no point in telling yourself that you are going to be the best snowboarder in the world, because that just isnt going to happen in a few months. This weekend I was flying back home and had a connection in Denver. As we were boarding the 777, I noticed something curious. I felt the anxiety of boarding the plane. Not fear of flying, but making sure I got on it. Airlines seem to be fairly strict in the order in which you board. So I was feeling the anxiety of having my number called and insuring that I didn’t some how miss my opportunity to get on the plane.
I would assume other travelers were feeling the same emotions as I because they started to queue up after first class got called. With summer vacations fast approaching, and having to make a decision on where to kennel my own crew for an upcoming annual family vacation, I’d like to share some tips and warnings on where and how to leave your pets behind.
Years back, I started with a highly recommended dog boarding kennel that I will never, ever use again! From there, I went to a kennel I adored that had been recommended by a dog-trainer friend, then moved on to a dog trainer who pet-sits, then tried to find someone who also house-sits, to alternating with Andrew on who stays home and who goes, to considering boarding again. We’ve been around the Mulberry bush with all of it.
Why all the changes? My dogs’ experiences and needs have changed over the years.
I’ll share my worst and best experiences first before I offer tips and warnings.
The first kennel I tried with Kiera and Magic came recommended by a friend. I should have wondered when they didn’t offer to have me tour the facilities,

I’ve been thinking a whole lot about my youngest nephew lately. While I can’t say for certain, I have a gut feeling that he is using again, and it really bums me out! I wasn’t expecting him to face an easy road, but I was hoping he’d be “scared straight” a little bit, knowing that if he gets into any trouble now that he’s of legal age, he’ll be doing hard time in grownup jail, not the college campus with razor wire he just got out of.
This is a kid who has faced adversity at every turn. Manchester Evening News via Dhimmi Watch:A MUSLIM woman was prevented from getting on a bus in Greater Manchester because she would not remove her veil. The 22-year-old Manchester University student from Oldham says other passengers laughed when the driver refused to let her on because he could not check her identity with her bus pass. Now the driver's bosses at First Manchester are to meet with their trade association, the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), to seek advice on how to deal with the problem if other passengers with photo passes refuse to lift their veils. They say they have received no complaint from the woman and have been unable to track down the driver concerned. The student, who didn't want to be named, tried to board the 59 bus to Oldham. She said: "The driver asked to see my pass, but it has my photo on and he couldn't see my face. "I told him I would not remove my veil and he said I couldn't get on."

Boarding Schools is one of the best options for teens who seek to find a different setting for themselves. There are times when a teen needs a fresh ground to find out what they really want with their lives. Boarding schools allow them to make decisions for themselves without much pressure from their parents. New setting also gives space for new ideas, new culture and chance to see different perspective in life.
