Y es que no sólo los nuevos coches de VW contaminan menos, sino que como acción de lanzamiento, con cada Polo que se venda en España, se plantarán 17 árboles.Según VW, estos 17 árboles compensan las emisiones de CO2 del coche durante sus primeros 50.000Km. Y el blosque formado por estos árboles, es el bosque Bluemotion. Este nombre es el que también lleva el nuevo VW Polo. Siempre me ha gustado el Polo. Pero esta promoción a terminado por emocionarme. La marca de automóviles Volkswagen va a plantar 17 árboles en Albacete por cada Polo Bluemotion que se venda en España. Estos en teoría compensan las emisiones de esta versión del Polo durante 50.000km. El coche consume entorno a los 3,9l y 100gr de CO2(No pagan matriculación los de menos de 120gr a partir del 2008).Esto me hace pensar la cantidad de árboles necesarios para compensar el CO2 del mio, me queda el alivio de que un árbol dura más que un coche, si no lo talan antes, claro está.Ya era hora de que iniciara esta sección de coches... si es que uno se lía.

Volkswagen is using September’s Frankfurt auto show to reassert its stature as a maker of efficient diesels in Europe. The new Golf BlueMotion will be one of six models with the environmentally friendly powerplant (the other five have not been disclosed).
The Golf BlueMotion will get 52 mpg, VW claims, an improvement on the already enviable 46 mpg of the outgoing model. The automaker says the compact car can go almost 750 miles on a 14.5-gallon tank of gas. Those wanting to do their part to save the planet can also feel good about the reduction in carbon-dioxide emissions.
The Golf BlueMotion is slated to go on sale at the end of the year in Germany, joining the Polo, Passat, and Passat Variant wagon with the clean-diesel technology. The BlueMotion label means it is the most efficient model in the series.
VW of America officials tell us BlueMotion is a European thing and is not legal here in the States

We recently reported that VW would be releasing the Passat BlueMotion at Geneva, and they've now released the final details. The first BlueMotion model was the Polo in the summer of 2006, which went on to sell better than expected. The new Passat BlueMotion achieves an average fuel economical of 5.1/100km of diesel fuel. The Passat Estate BlueMotion needs just 5.2 litres, and both have a C02 emission level below 140g/km. According to calculations by VW, drivers of this special Passat will be able to travel up to 1350km on one tank, allowing them to fill up only 11 times a year if they travel the standard 15,000km per annum. Volkswagen can achieve such low consumption figures through the fine tuning of the engine, which was already extremely efficient. In this case, it's a 77kW/105hp TDI engine with a diesel particulate filter fitted as standard. Autospectator reports that Volkswagen has raised the fuel mileage on its already stingy Polo BlueMotion. Powered by a 1.4-liter TDI [diesel] engine, Volksie's miserly machine deploys every mileage stretcher known to mankind, from special transmission ratios to low-rolling resistance tires. Baby Blue was sipping 3.9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. VW's boffins "optimized the engine configuration" to squeeze an extra tenth of a liter efficiency from the mini (small "m") mill, dropping consumption to 3.8 liters per 100 klicks. That's almost 62 mpg folks AND it exceeds all Euro-emission requirements for diesels. VeeDub pulled-off this mpg miracle without relying on hundreds of pounds of batteries and electric motors -- if you know what I mean.
