E’ stata annunciata una nuova serie manga ispirata al nuovo lavoro videoludico di Akira Toriyama, Blue Dragon.
Questa nuova serie verrà serializzata nel numero di luglio della rivista V Jump di Shueisha, e sarà ispirata alla serie animata Blue Dragon: Tenkai no shichi ryu, già in onda da un mese su Tv Tokyo.

Without any sort of fanfare or announcement, a demo of Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Xbox 360 RPG has become available for download on the XBL marketplace.The demo weighs in at 1.1 GB, so be prepared to wait a bit.
Blue Dragon’s release is currently set for August.

Update: It appears the demo has been pulled from Markerplace. Hopefully it will re-appear shortly. In the meanwhile, go grab the Ace Combat 6 demo instead.

Whew, talk about a long title for a post. Mistwalker’s Hironobu Sakaguchi has recently attended a convention in Paris, spilling some good news pre-E3. Firstly, Blue Dragon demo will be coming out July 20th, with a size of just over a gig, promising TWO HOURS worth of content. Good good times. Just make sure to nab it before August 3rd, as at that time it will no longer be available.
Lost Odyssey is, to quote Blimblim of Xboxyde “..about 80 % done and will be finished in about 3 months, they are now working on the game balance. It will be released at the end of the year in Japan and in the english speaking countries (USA and UK too), but the other territories will have to wait until a few weeks later in Q1 2008.” 2 months ago it was stated that Lost Odyssey was 70% done, so they sure are working quick (link). Blimblim also states he will be posting a short interview with Sakaguchi sometime this afternoon, so keep an eye out for that.
Lastly, about that MMO/RPG,
Microsoft sent out word that the widely anticipated role-playing game Blue Dragon will be available in Europe on August 24th.
Blue Dragon is a culmination of the work of famed game producer Hironobu Sakaguchi of Mistwalker game studio and developer Artoon. The game features the character design of Akira Toriyama, who designed “Dragon Ball Z,” and music by Nobuo Uematsu, the composer for “Final Fantasy.”
Blue Dragon is an Xbox360 exclusive, with a combination of realistic environments, anime-styled characters, unique battles and a compelling storyline.
Gamers will find themselves exploring and discovering the vast world of Blue Dragon as they assume the role of Shu, a young boy who along with his band of four friends, embarks on a quest to combat the evil forces that have come to their world. These unlikely heroes possess miraculous strength and the magical power to control their phantom shadow creatures that range from a Minotaur to a phoenix to a dragon and more.
The impressive Blue Dragon “Big Shadow” ad that turned heads in the streets of Japan has won a Gold Lion award at the Cannes Advertising Awards.
The advertising agency that made this happen was GT, with Creative Director Koshi Uchiyama, Art Director Naoki Ito and Producer Yasuhisa Kudo spearheading the project.
Gamers in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand will be able to get their hands on this anticipated RPG this August/September. [Thanks for the tip, Jake]

In an interview with Gamespot, Final Fantasy creator (and all around good guy) Hironobu Sakaguchi talked about many things. Why the Xbox 360 is failing in Japan, what Microsoft can do to remedy it, and… oh yeah, his upcoming game, Blue Dragon.
Now, keeping in line with developer’s habits of sending mixed messages when asked a direct question, Sakaguchi had this to say about the idea of a Blue Dragon demo:
Yeah, we are making a playable demo–maybe for June or July.
How are we supposed to know what he’s saying?! Damn him and his backwards speak!
It’s actually a very interesting read, and I suggest you all give it a look. I especially love the little banter between Gamespot and Sakaguchi over the absolutely abysmal marketing slogans Microsoft is using in Japan. (”Go, go, go?” ….WTF is that?!)

GDC is in full swing, and there are announcements being made left and right. Amongst those many announcements is the news that Blue Dragon, the game that (surprisingly) became Microsoft’s system seller in Japan, is coming stateside. No surprise there, I know, but here IS the surprise: It’ll be here in August.
Meanwhile, Lost Odyssey, from the man responsible for Final Fantasy Hironobu Sakaguchi, will be out sometime this fall, although the people behind Lost Odyssey weren’t as forthcoming with an exact (or general) release date for the title. But they DID tell us that it will be a worldwide launch, which is just… awesome.
Personally, I am more excited for Lost Odyssey, because it’s the one I haven’t played yet. I’ve actually had a chance to play a Japanese import of Blue Dragon, and I found that it played… well, like a Japanese RPG.

That's what our group saw on one dive yesterday. I was captaining the dive so I missed out. I haven't seen a dragon moray in quite some time, I'm hoping it was at a spot it calls home and Bob can give me directions.I haven't posted in a while, been very busy. Early in the month I was afraid it would be "slow", but I'm in the latter stages of working 15 days straight with several double shifts. Bob and I were both getting tired and since we didn't have anything scheduled for tonight as of yesterday, we agreed to pass on a charter for tonight if it came up... wouldn't you know it, I got a call last night.. I hate turning away business, but at some point I have to not overwork myself and Bob. Last minute bookings are never a guarantee, especially during the busy season. I do have a couple of extra people I bring on from time to time depending on their availabilities, but with the slow season coming soon I'd be a jerk for hiring someone as a "regular" and then laying them of
