We've deployed all the features mentioned in the previous blog post. Here's a recap:
Search
Blog search is finally in Beta, and we've incorporated some popular Ask 3D features. For example, related searches are displayed in the right-hand column next to results. All of classic's features are still there, but with newer styling.
Flickr View
Selecting a Flickr feed and viewing it in quick view now uses the Flickr API to show images at their maximum resolution.
Add Page
Beta's old add page was spartan, to say the least. The new Add page has package tracking, weather feeds, and a new feature: Packs. You can now add popular categories of feeds with a single mouse click.
Enjoy!

The great thing about feeds is that there is a selection for any topic, so this time celebrate Valentine’s Day year round. Here are some feeds of interest:
Love Quote of the Day (Subscribe) - A daily missive on the spirit of love.
iVillage - Love Advice for Singles and Couples (Subscribe) - A wide spectrum of timely advice on all things love.
Ask Men - Dating & Love (Subscribe) - A variety of tips and techniques from a particularly male point of view.
While cynics might insist the greeting card industry created Valentine’s Day, romance is always of interest. We would love to hear your stories of how you use Bloglines to improve your love-life.

At Bloglines, we experiment with feeds all the time. We wanted to point out 3 easy ways you can keep in touch with your friends on Facebook, Flickr and Upcoming.org via Bloglines.

Need to have your Facebook Friends' Status Updates at all times? You can import your Status Update feed into your Bloglines account. Here's how you can get your Status Updates in Bloglines. Go to your home page. Look for your "Status Updates" section on the right side of the page near your photo. Click on "See All" and go to your Status Updates Page. On the right side of the page, you'll see a blue RSS Icon under the header "Subscribe."

One of the problems with a feed reader is that you can't see the blog in its

comments, other features or, heck, even click on an ad to help you favorite blogger.
This is great for highly designed blogs that cover knitting, design, art or funny

We've been busy working on Bloglines Beta to provide some stocking stuffers
for everyone during this holiday season. Tonight we rolled out Saved. Later in

Just as it sounds, this features allows you to save a post for future
reference. Many of our Blogliners are active filers who like to save their
favorite posts. It's very easy. Let me walk you through the feature.
You'll notice at the bottom of an article a new "Save" button located
in-between "Pin" and "Email."
Clicking on the "Save" button creates a new inline window where you can add
a comment and save the post to a specific folder.
To get to your saved articles, click on the "Saved" button in the left-hand
corner of your screen. Simple!
You might ask, "Why have "Pin" and "Save"?" Sometimes you want article

Last week, I met a big name blogger who is also a dedicated user of Bloglines.
I couldn't help but notice his iPhone typing skills. He was clearly pounding out
at 40 words per minute which is super-fast on the iPhone. I was really excited to
hear his impressions on iBloglines, our iPhone optimized version of Bloglines.
Unfortunately, he hadn't heard of iBloglines. I was crestfallen. I realized I needed
to do a better job telling Blogliners about our great products.

Over the weekend, a few individuals, including some of us who work on Bloglines, reported receiving Spam from Bloglines. It was a surprise for us and the few other Blogliners who also received the emails. While the total number of emails sent appear to be small less than 1,000, we think it’s serious enough to address because the spammer impersonated official Bloglines correspondence.
The Event
Emails were sent recommending several posts on a Chinese Blog via the “send a post to a friend” feature on Bloglines. The email ended with a signature from “The Bloglines Team.” The emails were not sent by anyone associated with the Bloglines Team.
The Actions Taken
We monitored our logs and suspended the spammer’s IP address restricting their usage of Bloglines. In addition, on Monday 11/19/07, we briefly shut down the “send email” feature on Bloglines to further monitor the situation.

Blogliners, we’re looking to meet you face-to-face for some quality time to discuss how you use a feed reader. We’re looking to meet people who are new to feeds and feed readers. We’ve met a lot of people over the past few months at conferences, the forums on the web, etc. And we love meeting our power users, but now we need to find some users who are new feeds and feed readers.
Here are some key questions to determine if your right for our customer research:
New to feeds and Bloglines in the past year.
Consider yourself a non-techie.
Willing to do some “homework” about 10 minutes a day for a few days.
Have broadband.
Live in the Bay Area - a must.
Willing to meet with our researcher for 90 minutes during the week of 11/29 to 12/7.
Modest compensation will be provided for you time.
Since we know that Bloglines attracts a wide set of people, we want to get a good mix - all ages, home or work users. So we’ve created a short (5 minute) survey to help
We were anxiously awaiting the second week of the Bloglines Top 1000. We had no idea what was in store. To our surprise, we saw what we thought was a bug.
“Pitchfork: Today” skyrocketed 790,000 ranks. That’s right 790,000 ranks to land at 448. We double-checked the numbers and they are correct. Remember, we have millions of feeds in our database, so it is possible to jump thousands of ranks in one week. However, we will consider new ways to report this.
“Sew, Mama, Sew” continued to move its way up 352 rankings.
As many of you might have noticed, yesterday afternoon, the Plumber returned– Bloglines experienced some downtime. The team has been looking into the situation and has attributed the root cause to multiple machine hardware failure due to human error.
As people who not only work on Bloglines, but use Bloglines, you can be assured that we’re monitoring the situation closely and will put improvements in place to prevent downtime in the future.

Bloglines en su desesperada búsqueda de recuperar la importancia que hace años tenia en el mundo de los blogs,a lanzado un ranking llamado top 1000 de Bloglines que se basa como ya saben en las suscripciones en los feeds. Bloglines has had a leading mobile feed reader for the last couple of years.
It's always been one of our key product strengths. So we were really excited to

Last week we launched our beta site
and it looks like many of you noticed.
The overall response was exceptionally favorable, but one topic was lost

Many people thought we were done. On the other hand, a number of our
classic Blogliners pointed out several of their favorite features missing or
not implemented quite right. Both parties are right. If the beta

fulfill your needs right now, don't fret, we still have a large number of
features to implement and a few features to refine. Take your time.

Here i go again....

Link)

Do you know what a Feed Reader is? Simply they will keep you up to date with your favourite blogs or websites without actually visiting the site. There are other readers around but two that will often come up in conversation are Bloglines and Google Reader. Why bring a Feed Reader to your attention now? I mentioned in this post that my blog is going to suffer with updates not happening on a regular basis. Not all of us are into some of the geek side of blogging but rather than having you popping back to my blog to find no updates it is so much easier for you to be alerted that a post has been made by a Feed Reader. This way you won't be wasting time loading my blog or any other favourite blog for that matter who has not updated.Take a look at the first image which is part of a screen print from this blog and you will see a square orange button. By clicking on this button (in my column) a page will come up with a drop down menu for you to choose a Feed Reader that you would like to us
Scott Hanselman has a great post about how to keep you blog from sucking... So... I have followed a number of his suggestions. I have signed up with Technorati.com . Technorati is a great place to list your blog. It is not a search engine, but it is a way to claim your blog and add it to its search listings. Here is my Technorati Profile. And, if you want to view my blog from within Technorati instead, you can do that too. And what timing, too! When I signed up for Technorati, I found a blog post about my blog in just wonky, Rob Fuller's blog. Thanks, Rob for the kinds word and the inbound link should help a bunch! A nude beach is a beach where the users generally wear no clothing. If clothing is optional then, to emphasize that, also the terms clothing-optional beach and free beach are used. It is one of the most common and traditional forms of public nudity. A nude beach should not be confused with a topfree beach or topless beach, where upper body clothing is not required for women or men, although a swimming costume covering the genitals is required for both men and women.NUDE BEACHES

I have been included in a Bloglines list, thanks to Matt Huggins' blogging for money blog. The number of Bloglines subscribers to your feed is apparently very important to your BlogJuice, and this is all news to me. While I know about search engine optimization, all these new things related to blogging are going to be my next learning subject to tackle. I hope this will help me finally get accepted into ReviewMe for more than just the campaign reviews. Not that I think I will get many requests, but it would still be a big moment for me in "my blogging career". :)So if boosting my blogjuice with the bloglines list will help me, why not try it out.***Start Copying Here:*** Here are the rules: 1) If you don’t have a bloglines account signup for one, if you do have a bloglines account sign in to your account! 2) Write a short introduction paragraph about how you found the Bloglines list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list. 3) COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below
Darin Carter contacted me about this list he started and I think it’s a great idea. Like the technorati favorites train, this is a very good way to earn some linkbacks, discover new blogs, as well as increasing your RSS count. I copied this list from Gary Lee who has added a few extra blogs.
Apparently, Bloglines is being used by several services as a way of ranking your site and with the recent release of an API, you can expect many other services to begin adopting it. I’m looking into implementing it into my Showoff Rankings widget somehow.
Adding someone to your Bloglines list is easy, just a few clicks of the mouse. Also, Bloglines is a very nice RSS reader. I still prefer Google Reader for its simplicity but I can see why it is one of the most popular readers out there.

Have you guys noticed that Bloglines is used as a Ranking Factor in a lot of tools lately … Text Link Ads - Blog Juice Calculator, Firefox’s SEO Plugin, and a Few others I can’t even remember right now.

The hard-working engineers at Bloglines spend most of their time bringing you your favorite blog & feed content... but they've also been known to come up with some cool stuff above and beyond the call of duty. Presenting: The Bloglines Image Wall .
Here's the deal. Bloglines indexes zillions of pages every hour -- and just as many images. The Bloglines Image Wall picks up these images as they come in and places them into a constantly updated grid.
You'll never see the Wall the same way twice - in fact, it changes right before your eyes. Curious, funny, challenging, good, bad, and ugly - it's all there. The variety alone is fascinating.

And each image is clickable, taking you to its source blog or feed in Bloglines with a handy subscribe link at the top if you like what you see. The american company SanDisk, the biggest flash memory

that has a double amount of memory than the iPodNano, the selling price
beeing 250 $,just 1 dollar more than the device made by Apple.
SanDisk,the second music player
manufacturer,an industry dominated by Apple, announced that the 8 GB
variant of the Sansa player will allow the storage of up to 2000 songs.Concomitantly, the company reduced with up to 30% the prices for the Sansa models with memories of 2, 4 and 6 GB to 140-220 dollars.

Now you can fly over any important building in Google Earth 4 with
3D layer turned on and be rewarded with accurate representations and
details in brick, glass and stone. These were created in the new Google
SketchUp, a lot of them by members of modeling comunity. If you think
you are good in this domain your models, too, can create the landspace

Google SketchUp is a powerful easy learning 3D software tool that
combines a simple robust tool with an intelligent drawing system that
simplifies 3D design. From simple to complex, conceptual to realistic,
Google SketchUp enables you to build and modify 3D models quickly and
easily. If you use Google Earth, Google SketchUp allows you to place
your models in real time coordinates and share them using the new
Google 3D Warehouse.

Given that Danny and I aren't even ready for a kitten or a puppy, it's highly unlikely that a baby panda would be a good choice right now. But I can still enjoy the pictures!

You use Bloglines because it helps you keep track of your favorite blogs and feeds. But what if you have certain feeds you view only in the morning? Certain feeds you look at to cheer you up, or when the boss isn't around? You don't want to re-arrange your whole "My Feeds" listing just for those occasional whims or times of day. That's why Bloglines introduces not one, but two new services to make things easier.
Playlists lets you create short groupings of feeds to access from your main list. Create as many as you like, and use them to personalize your Bloglines experience that much more. Create them, change them, even delete them--all without changing your original "tree" of feeds. What song playlists are to your MP3 library, Bloglines Playlists are to your Bloglines blogs & feeds.
Want a quick look of those Playlists you just created? That's what Glimpse is for. Click on one of your Playlists in your left nav and you'll see the first five posts for every feed in that Playli
I now use Bloglines to organize my RSS & XML feeds so that I can view them quickly at anytime I am online. I don’t even have to be on my own computer to do so. It is an online service that makes keeping up to a favourite blog so much easier. One neat idea is the Clippings option. If I have left a comment on a blog, I clip that blog for awhile to remind me that I have left a message for the blog owner. I will delete the clipping once a reply has been made or time has passed. It can also be used to bookmark a favourite story.I have a button now in the right hand column that makes it easy to add my blog to your own Bloglines. There are also other tools that are useful at bloglines. I am still exploring them and may make use of them at a later time.Click on Bloglines here and have a look what it is all about.Technorati tags: Bloglines, clippings, RSS, XMLArts & Stuff with Susan Borgas
