The Portland Trail Blazers website reported Thursday that Blazers center Greg Oden was back practicing with the team Wednesday night, after tweaking his ankle during the first day of practice at training camp. Oden rolled his right ankle during the team’s first practice. He fell to the floor clutching his leg, which immediately brought concern to [...]

If you do not have a trench and/or a blazer in your closet, I highly suggest buying one, or both! Both these jackets can be found at just about any clothing store and at every price-point. Now that it is getting a little cooler outside, I am seeing baggy hooded sweatshirts everywhere, and it makes [...]
“The Oregonian” reported Monday that the Portland Trail Blazers will work out free agent guard Shaun Livingston, in hopes of bringing him into the fold for the upcoming season. Portland is the latest team to show interest in the former Los Angeles Clippers point guard. Earlier reports had both the Miami Heat and the Golden [...]
I sat at Rugby Food & Spirits to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympic games with a few friends while enjoying some cocktails. We sat in awe with a few of our newfound friends from Paris, France, "Bonjour Philippe!" Besides the fancy light show in Beijing, my favorite part was watching all the athletes walk the track dressed in patriotic wear and country flags. Of course I missed Ghana
It isn’t hard to find a favorable post that I have written about TTK in the annals of MyAirShoes. I have written plenty of reviews about the designer’s custom sneakers that can be found by searching the website’s archives. His latest custom sneakers may put some of these past projects to shame.
TTK recently unveiled [...]

Sacramento Kings swingman John Salmons got the rare opportunity to start in Friday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers; the first half didn’t go so well for Salmons, but he more than made up for it, scoring 18 second-half points in leading Sacramento to a convincing, 103-86 win over Portland at Arco Arena. The [...]
Though the Trail Blazers are out of the playoffs, that doesn’t mean they’re going quietly.
With the crowd at the Rose Garden chanting “Beat L.A!” Portland held off the Los Angeles Lakers 112-103 on Tuesday night.
Brandon Roy scored 23 points and matched his career high with 12 assists for Portland, which snapped a five-game losing streak. [...]
The Oregonian Tuesday that Portland Trail Blazers third year swing man Martell Webster will be sidelined Tuesday as the club takes on the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday night. Webster who came into the Association straight out of high school unnderwent a series of tests on Monday to try to determine the cause of an irregular [...]
Tim Duncan recorded a double-double, and the San Antonio Spurs won their twelfth straight game absolutely suffocating the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday 72-65. It was a double loss for the Blazers who not only lost the contest but their starting center Joel Pryzbilla for the last five games of the season. Pryzbilla broke a bone [...]
So recently there have been a lot of rumors that Greg Oden played two pick up games at a local 24 hour fitness center.
Well yesterday Greg Oden admited that he not only played but he dominated the game, that shouldn’t come as a surprise.
The Blazers weren’t impressed though. “We heard about that, and I talked [...]
Mavericks 105 - Nuggets 118
Last night was a very good night for Nugget country. First Nene returned after a bout with cancer then they finished the game with a 118-105 win over the Mavs.
Carmelo Anthony led the way for the Nuggets scoring 32 points. Allen Iverson added 31 points to the effort to help the [...]
Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson is like E.F. Hutton - when Nellie talks, people listen. Golden State was down by 9 early, and boy did he let his team have it; the Warriors recovered nicely in the second quarter and won going away over the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday night 111-95 at a sold-out Oracle [...]
Nothing worse than a “good-news, bad-news” story, especially when it involves the Portland Trail Blazers and their top scorer, Brandon Roy. The good news is that in Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Wizards, they in fact soundly beat the Wizards 102-82 - that’s the good news. The bad news? Already without LaMarcus Aldridge, the [...]
The Phoenix Suns are getting hot at the right time as they tend to do - which is key, especially this season as the Western Conference race for playoff spots is as wide open as the stock market. Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, six Suns’ players scored in double-digits, while shooting 55% [...]

The Cleveland Cavs played and beat the Portland Trailblazers over the weekend with a final score of 80-88. That is not the big news. The big news is LeBron James basketball during that game. He ended the night with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Cleveland outscored the Blazers for every quarter other then the first when LeBron James basketball was heating up. This showing marked the seventh triple-double that LeBron James shoes have seen this season. I got in a conversation with my friend the other day about LeBron looking like a young Jordan and who would win in a one on one matchup if Jordan were LeBron’s age. I had to give credit to the seasoned veteran and thought that Jordan would win. LeBron is destined to be the best of our generation (me being 21). He is consistentl
This is my "Month of Gratitude" post. I hope it speaks to you. If not, I can at least seek comfort in knowing that I will always come up first whenever someone searches "Miami Vice Gorilla Boobs" on Google.

It’s about damn time! Nike teams up with a female artist, none other the fabulous CLAW Money. To be honest I haven’t been keeping up with the sneaker world for a while but I am actually really excited about this. I love Claw’s work so much and the Blazer just happens to be my favorite Nike sneaker. I have a couple pairs already and I will definitely be trying to get my hands on those black ones!
The Blazer collaboration with CLAW Money is the first in a two-part series. Next, Nike and CLAW Money team up to launch a limited edition of the Vandal Hi debuting in October.

Now that the 2007 NBA Draft has finished, it's time to take stock of the draft. Portland couldn't really have a bad draft with the first pick and being able to pick up a talent like Greg Oden. Who looks like he will be wearing number 52, the number of former Blazer great Buck Williams. But, that wasn't the only move of the night for Portland. The other big news of the night was that Portland traded oft-troubled Zach Randolph plus Fred Jones and Dan Dickau to the Knicks. In return, Portland gets Channing Frye and malcontent Steve Francis. The rumors suggest Portland may try to buy Francis out to get cap room and go after a free-agent small forward (Rashard Lewis?), and will keep Frye. I'm not sure why the team would want this trade unless it was all to get rid of Randolph. Frye seems to play the same position as Aldridge and has a similar game. Francis is a lockerroom cancer and hasn't produced like Randolph has in the past few years. If Randolph can stay out of trouble in NY (a bi
The Memphis RiverKings are the first club in the CHL to take a step towards the Ray Miron President’s Cup championship, posting a 3-2 win in Oklahoma City Thursday night in the first game of the Central Hockey League’s post-season. All five goals came in the second period of play, with Louis Dumont’s power play tally at the 19:28 mark proving to be the difference.
Dallas Flaman and Ryan Watson accounted for the Oklahoma City goals, with Derek Campbell (who scored the post-season’s first goal) and Travis Banga also scoring for Memphis. Larry Sterling picked up the win in the RiverKings net (in his first career playoff start) with 28 saves, while Sebastien Centomo took the loss, stopping 19 of 22 shots.
The win is magnified by the fact that the next two games of the series will be in Memphis (Friday and Sunday) providing the RiverKings an opportunity to take a 3-0 stranglehold if they can protect home ice.
The Cougars are for real it seems, after defeating the Kamloops Blazers 4-3 in OT to sweep the series 4 games to 0. They are heading to the final round against presumably the Vancouver Giants for the Memorial Cup.I was at game 3 to watch the Cats erase a 3-2 deficit and defeat the Blazers 4-3 late in the 3rd period. But I don't want to get into the recap of the game as much, but rather, tell you briefly about the experience.First off, the company I work for has connections, and we got a suite. That meant free booze, food, and luxury.I pulled out my camera to take some pics of the action in the 1st period, and the lady sitting next to me warned me: "A friend of mine was taking pictures a few weeks back, and security approached her and told her to erase all of the pictures and put the camera away."I thought maybe she was bluffing (and that nobody would catch me) so I proceeded to snap some shots minus the flash to avoid drawing any attention to myself. Lo and behold, in the first interm
I didn't get to watch a lot of this game as we were at the Cougars game. We watched the Nucks in between plays on a TV in the suite we were in. (Yeah, it pays to have connections!) It appears Alain Vigneault gets results when he's pissed off! The Canucks clinched a playoff spot and at the same time really ruined Colorado's chances for making the postseason. How things have changed! Now we spoil their chances!Anyone want to comment on the game? Tell me what I missed? I see Vancouver took a lot of penalties. As for the Cougars/Blazers game: it was awesome! The Cats erased a 3-2 deficit late in the 3rd and won it, taking a 3-0 series lead. I'll talk more about that tomorrow and post some pics.
You may have noticed golfer, Nick Faldo, on the home page of murphyofireland.com and wondered why he's there!Well, he's wearing one of our range of mens blazers - high praise indeed. It goes without saying that quality is of the highest standard, in the stitching, the lining, and the subtle difference in the way a well cut blazer just seems to fit properly. Our mens blazers come in 2 different fabrics, worsted wool, and fine merino wool, which is lighter and more suited to summer wear. You can also choose from a range of styles, 2 buttons, 3 buttons and single or double breasted. They can look relaxed with a pair of chinos, or more formal with a shirt and tie, whatever you need.
Also its worth remembering that they are ideal for clubs, teams or competition winners (like Nick Faldo!). If you need special embroidery, just drop us an email from the website, http://www.murphyofireland.com or phone us to discuss your neeeds.

Blazers
are a key item for spring and summer. Recently many celebrities, like Sienna Miller and Ashley Olsen have gone out wearing blazers over a dress or a nice outfit. This is one of the up and coming summer trends you should be prepared for.

I am obsessed with preppy blazers and jackets right now. They are such a great finishing point on any outfit, absolutely a must-have for this fall. My favorite look is pairing one with a poufy skirt and a pair of riding boots.
