American Idol Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis released his debut album last December 4. Dubbed as Audio Day Dream or simply A.D.D. the album features 16 tracks inspired by the mix of different genres ranging from pop to funk to soul to electro. During his stint on the popular singing show, I was wondering how he'll come up with his first album, like the possibility of marketing a disc full of beat-boxing, won't it be too hard to sell? Fortunately on this album, Blake was able to balance everything, showing off his singing talent plus his beat-boxing which were later fulfilled oh his first single "Break Anotha" and songs like "How Many Words" and "Bshorty Grabs Mic!". But I have to confess that I am not a big fan of Lupe Fiasco. Why am I telling this thing? It's because he has collaboration with the said artist so I have to skip track number four. I went to high school with Adam [Levine], Mickey [Madden], Jesse [Carmichael] back when they were Kara’s Flowers, I saw them play in the gymnasium a couple times. Our featured artist of the month American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis debut album is set to drop tommrow and has just leaked. This album has took the longest to leak then any other album. The wait was deff worth it and I'm happy to say Blake pulled it off. His first single "Break Anotha" is just a glimpse of where the album is going to take you. Blake said he wanted an album that was like a continuous 80's mix tape with diffrent influences. He did that and more Blake mixes everything from hip-hop/electronic/pop and the list goes on. I'm also impressed to see that he had creative control co-writing almost every track on the album except "Surrender". Check this out...       That is the cover for the new Blake Lewis album, Audio Day Dream. The album comes out on December 4th. As soon as I saw this, I immediately looked up one of those weird-holiday calendars just to see if December 4th was "Stoned Astronaut's Day" or something. It's not. However, December 4th does fall halfway between AIDS Awareness Day and the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, so we can only assume that Blake Lewis is trying to provide us with some comedy in an otherwise tragic week. Blake Lewis American Idol runner up Blake Lewis has signed a record deal with Arista Records in conjunction with 19Recordings, the USA Today reports. The label is managed by American Idol creator Simon Fuller. The album will be released later this year. Fuller said in a statement: “Blake is one of the most unique Idol contestants I’ve ever seen. He brought something new to the competition and won fans all over America. I know they’re going to love his first album.” Blake’s beatboxing skills won over my support, and I was blown away by his cover of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name”. Here is a much earlier audition Blake did sometime back during Halloween 2006 at Columbia City Theatre. If he can tone down a little of his annoying ego, I think he just might have a chance at winning it this year. Even if he does not, I'd bet his album will outsell a lot of others including Taylor Hicks. Oh well, enjoy this awesome video then!

I was just able to watch last nights American Idol (thank god for DVR) and Blake Lewis tore it up. He instantly became my #1 favorite male contestant with Jamiroquai’s Virual Insanity. As soon as the song came on I instantly turned up the sound on the stereo and wanted to dance. I just love that song always have. Loved how me mixed the beat boxing into it way to go Blake Randy and Paula said some great things about him but Simon’s opinion just sucks. Enyoy the video (it’s a lil low on the sound)
