So it's that time again where you get an email blast from all your vendors to vote for them in the FoxPhilly "Best of" contest. But you won't be getting an email from me. Why? Thereupon, the man leaned out of the window excitedly and yelled, “Honda, very fast! Made in Japan !!!. After a while, [...]

Blah Blah Blah… What does it all mean?
The Fed cut rats by a quarter point. Am I suppose to be excited? Does it really matter? What does it all mean? Obviously, we weren’t doing as well as many might of thought we were. There were even some rumors, before all the bad reports, that the Fed might consider raising rates (it has got [...]

Blah Blah Blah: Nicking back the true meaning of indie
A Free Man is still wandering the wilds of southwestern Sweden, but before I left Blighty I lined up a chat with East London road warriors Blah Blah Blah. Their new EP “Death To The Indie Dancefloor”, which the Guardian called “Arctic Monkeys performed by Madness circa “Baggy Trousers, is out today. I’ve been impressed [...]

      Immigration, National Security…"Blah Blah Blah"
Montanans have themselves a fine Governor. The Department of Homeland Security is trying to force states to issues "Real ID-compliant" drivers licenses. The Real ID Act of 2005 requires licenses to hold electronically encoded information, along with more complicated background checks for license applicants. Background from the NY Times: The federal government issued national standards on Friday that states would have to meet in order for driver’s licenses they issue to qualify as identification at airports and federal buildings, setting the stage for a confrontation with states that have voted not to cooperate….In Washington and elsewhere, state lawmakers have complained that the requirements add up to a national identification card, that it is too costly, puts privacy at risk and

      Blah blah blah
This post is just going to be like so many of my other recent posts, a bland retelling of everything that is happening or not happening around here. Because most of it is so fatiguingly and tediously boring I'll try to spice it up with a few funnies strewn throughout. I'll let you judge if I'm even remotely successful.Boring thing #1. Today I scooped doggy poopy. Two weeks because-of-us-feeling-like-doggy-poopy worth of doggy poopy. Two weeks worth of doggy poopy is a lot of doggy poopy, just in case you were wondering. You never have to wonder again. The mystery has been unveiled. The privileged information no longer enshrouded in a dark and foreboding cloak of secrecy. It really is a lot of poopy. You have it on good authority.Boring thing #2. I cut back my plants in anticipation of winter's interminable icy blasts of plant killing anger, what some like to call the stuff of "winter wonderlands." While doing so I reached to grab one of said plants and instead landed my

Blogger Code of Blah Blah Blah
I recently ran across something called a "Blogger Code of Ethics" on the web somewhere. What a great idea! It's about time somebody got us unruly bloggers in line. I agree with this Code 100%. Or maybe 74.3%. Still, I mostly agree with it. I've republished it below with a few comments of my own.I will tell the truth. Man, wouldn't it be great if all bloggers told the truth? I strive to include some truth in almost every one of my posts. Lies are important too, of course.I will write deliberately and with accuracy. Or hire a lot of monkeys.I will acknowledge and correct mistakes promptly. I always do this. I think. I'll have to come back to this one.I will preserve the original post, using notations to show where I have made changes so as to maintain the integrity of my publishing. This one is crap.I will never delete a post. Even if the original writer of this post tells me to. I have my principles, after all.I will not delete comments unless they are spam or off-to

      * Yes - I'm still upset about my Pats losing :(* It is funny to see all the comments on my recent addictions post - who knew that we were all so addicted to this damn box we call a computer??* I finally bought all the paint for my apartment!!! This weekend I'm taking tons of pictures - FINALLY* Furniture shopping really sucks - granted I'm doing it through Craigslist but it still sucks. I found this fabulous table and emailed her and she said I could have it but one hour later she emailed me back and told me she sold it! What happened to holding it for someone who says they will come by later this evening??* I did buy a kind of cool entertainment center. It is light wood which I hate, but for $50.00 you can't complain about it! It has recessed lighting and glass shelves to put knick knacks and pictures on and plenty of drawer space on the bottom to hold the DVD's my son seems to get in record bunches* I know people hate to hear this - but my son FINALLY did #2 on the potty to
