Not like the Italian bootleg CD "Sab's Furore" this copy of the legendary vinyl bootleg "Killing Yourself To Die" is a really brilliant piece of work. Soundquality as good as on the vinyl and great artwork as you can see leaves only one main difference between the vinyl and the CD: the price! Like "The Ray Gillen Years" this CD was released by Bondage Music in Japan

Tremendo concierto, tremendo tema !!Iron Man es el título de una canción del grupo británico de Heavy Metal Black Sabbath. La canción se incluyó primeramente en el álbum Paranoid de 1970. Tiene una duración de 6 minutos, durante los cuales el ritmo semi lento de la canción logró revolucionar al mundo del heavy metal. A partir de Iron Man, se pudo concebir que el rock pesado no tenía que ser tocado a una velocidad rápida para ser bueno, y que podía ser tenebroso aún a una velocidad semilenta. Music is an amazing thing. I myself have always leaned towards hard edged rock, in the vein of your Black Sabbaths, Deep Purples, Nazareths and Rainbows. Never one to listen to noise for it's own sake, I have for the most part, found the last two decades pretty dismal musically. There has been the odd gem out there, but overall the success rate of listenable bands has been abysmal.
Thats what made our trip to see Heaven and Hell (the current incarnation of Black Sabbath) last evening such a thrill for me. I have long maintained that the three (and a quarter) albums this lineup recorded (spread over 25 odd years) are pure masterpieces. Due to the volatility of the band members, it has proven next to impossible to hold this lineup together long enough to reach Australian shores, although they did make it to Australia but not Melbourne in the mid 80's. There isn't much variety in tempo, mood, or the band's simple, blues-derived musical vocabulary, but that's not the point; Sabbath's slowed-down, murky guitar rock bludgeons the listener in an almost hallucinatory fashion, reveling in its own dazed, druggy state of consciousness. Songs like the apocalyptic title track, "N.I.B.," and "The Wizard" make their obsessions with evil and black magic seem like more than just stereotypical heavy metal posturing because of the dim, suffocating musical atmosphere the band frames them in.
