Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Take them on, on your own
Se habla mucho de esta banda por haber tenido un excelente debut pero luego caer en la nebulosa, lo cual le sucede a todas las bandas que tienen un excelente disco debut. La banda siguió con un... This is about me

      Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
A while back I had a little rant about the additional charges applied to ticket prices when buying from somewhere like Ticketmaster. Well, the event for which the tickets were purchased finally arrived this week - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at Somerset House. For some reason I neglected to put a reminder in my diary and I almost forgot about it. Fortunately I was reminded in time. We were (again) pretty fortunate with the weather - Somerset House is an outdoor venue - and we had a perfect evening with not a cloud in the sky. The gig was amazing - an hour and a half of all BRMC's best tracks. As seems to be happening more often these days, I didn't have my camera with me, so had to make do with the Nokia N73. It did surprisingly well considering it was dark.

      Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
First Saw these guys play "Shuffle Your Feet" on The Henry Rollins Show last year. Didn't know what to think at first, but now I am diggin' 'em. Not sure how one would really categorize them. Kind of bluesy but in a more gospel/Bayou way. WTF do I know. Now I'm just makin' shit up.First Album Howl is a bit more mellow. Here is a link to a live clip of "Devil's Waitin" off of Howl. This clip "Weapon of Choice" is off the new album Baby 81.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Manic Street Preachers - yes, but Björk: shame on the musiccompany
Three new album are just downloaded in my iPod for listening. The first is Baby 81 with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. I like this band and listened a lot on their last album. But after listened a lot I got sort of bored of their style so I pick them away from my iTunes. The new album seem to be very heavy, with speedy songs. I suppose I should not have read any reviews before I listened to it. In most of the Swedish newspapers this album - Baby 81 - got the mark 3, and that is somewhere in the middle. The musicwriter in Svenska Dagbladet says they are to ambitious. And tell who: who can resist a band with the name Manic Street Preachers and an album tiht the title: Send away the tigers? I could not. In one Swedish newspaper the musicwriter said this album is alright but the soloalbum last year with James Dean Bradfield, the singer, was so much better. I never listened to that, so I can not compare. Another musicwriter gave this album a even worse mark: 2 of 6 possible. Why? I find

CD Review: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Baby 81
The majority of the album has the distinct throbbing bass and pounding drums sound often found in modern rock. However, Baby 81 also has a distinct retro feel; occasionally you hear a bit of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles seeping through the tunes, which are already very British-rock sounding.

And on today's show we have...Take Them On, On Your OwnBlack Rebel Motorcycle ClubBlack Rebel Motorcycle Club is like the Vin Diesel of band names. It's like Motorhead, only better. Of course, having the Marlon Brando connection is always a plus in the cool department. And apart from the machismo oozing nomenclature, they have the "I'm a showgazer who gives a fuck" look to boot. It's perfect, and just needs a little something in the music department to make the image permanent. Take Them On is just that.If any piece of music reflected perfectly what BRMC is and should be, it's the opening riff to the monster, exhaust fume inhaled, Stop. There's always the fear with a band that's 'discovered' a good riff that they'll go on with it for far longer than necessary, but BRMC effectively evades this with the rhythm and drums crashing in at just the right moment.Take The On is, in totality, a guitar heavy, riff laden, grungy-garage junkie of an album. BRMC effectively defined their s

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Baby 81 Review
There?s a slow burn element to Black Rebel Motorcycle worth admiring. At first loud and muddy on their debut and sophomore releases, then surprisingly reflective and somber on their third, BRMC seems to have successfully folded their sound over and ...
