The Baby Bjorn was great for us when baby was under 20 lbs! I used it for walks, for grocery shopping and for doing some housework. My baby's father and even his grandfather wore the Baby Bjorn. When baby was newborn, I would wear him facing in, so he could snuggle against my chest. As he got older, more alert and interested and more able to hold his head, I wore him facing out. This was a great way to grocery shop because my baby couldn't stand to be in the car seat. I think that "baby wearing" helped us to combat the colic. Now that baby is getting bigger (6 months, over 20 lbs) he is just too heavy for me to wear him in the Baby Bjorn.This item is expensive! Luckily my cousin loaned me hers.
