      Bizarre Similarities...
Get this, today I realized that my father and Bill O'Reilly have a lot in common. Both were born within months of each other, were born in Brooklyn, both moved to Levittown, Long Island in 1951, both have two kids, a boy and a girl... They would have known each other, maybe even been in the same graduating class, if Bill's family wasn't catholic and sent him to Catholic school. I just think it is really creepy and weird...Oh and I just watched the Hillary Clinton interview... He didn't attack her at least. She was awesome. The Socialist comment? Please, and why in this country is Socialist considered a four letter word? Some Socialist ideas were pretty good, if only carried out by the right people. What can I say, I am a bit of a Marxist...

The bizarre truth about the BNP boss, his ballerina fiance and bitter wife
BNP hopeful Barnbrook & fiancee ballerina Simone Clarke With a distinct sartorial style which worries even his most extremist supporters, and a background as a "visionary" artist whose most notable work was a homo-erotic film, Richard Barnbrook is an unusual Far Right leader, to say the least. But on Thursday, this is the man who hopes to become the first neo-fascist mayor of London. Even when Barnbrook fails in that endeavour, as he most certainly will, he is likely to be elected as the first British National Party member of the Greater London Assembly. Eleven of the 25 available seats are decided by proportional representation, and the extreme Right-wing party needs only a 0.2 per cent increase on its share of the 2004 election vote to gain one. I

NATURE: The bizarre and fascinating Surinam Toad
I found an ultra neat YouTube video of a female Surinam Toad on Zooillogix today. Surinam Toads (Pipa pipa) are native to northern South America. This amphibian is very odd for several reasons. Its appearance seems unworldly and is reminiscent of something from the Star Wars universe perhaps. A more anthropomorphized version of Pipa pipa could perhaps be found in Jabba the Hut’s lair or any Star Wars bar scene. However, the species’ appearance serves a utility for survival in aquatic habits as it is well camouflage and has a special design for hatching its eggs.I remember seeing this species on a nature documentary and just being fascinated by the natural world. Where some folks perhaps saw repulsion in the Surinam toad’s preferred mode of rearing its young I wanted to travel t

And its first two products Ugly Duckling and The Armageddon Mandala, penned by Amita and Gopal respectively, were launched in India with the promise of providing relief from "high agonised seriousness". The company is an offshoot of the Indian-American writers' desire to take on the high priests of the literary and publishing establishment, "those etiolated dotards entombed in their redoubts of high culture, perfect craft and refined sensibility". Back in 1997 it was impossible to turn on the radio and not hear this song. Spending 36 weeks on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and peaking at #4, "How Bizarre" put the New Zealand band on the map. The album of the same name went on to sell over a million copies and went platinum not only in the US but in several other countries as well.OMC, which stands for Otara Millionaires Club, refers to one of the poorest suburbs in Auckland, New Zealand, where the band was formed. Bizarre Thai Ad Offers Ghosts, Ghouls and Transvestites [Video]
A new Thai ad for Sylvania light bulbs showcases a bizarre line up of some of the country's most prominent, if little seen or heard inhabitants. Ghosts are more than just an integral part of Thai folklore. Their presence is expected, not just in myths and fables, but in everyday Thai life. So when monsters, ghouls and other assorted creatures begin traipsing across the screen in this ad for Sylvania bulbs, Westerners might be startled, but Thais, you suspect, are barely ruffled. Even more telling of the country's tolerance to otherworldly beings, none of the ghouls in the spot are of the Night of the Living Dead variety. Sure, some of them are dismembered and over 20 feet tall, but there is a sense of the lost and lonely rather than the fearful. The highlight? When the little boy points at a strange looking apparition, and asks if it’s a ghost, and his father whispers, "No, son, that is just a transvestite" Enjoy.

"The forecast of widespread moderate to heavy rain in the next few days is no longer expected in Singapore. The winds are expected to weaken in the next few days," it said. Random Bizarre-ness
So, two nights ago, after discovering that we are behind on some bills (long story, let's just say that my husband USED to pay the bills *sigh*), I opened a piece of mail that I almost threw out. That little voice said, "No, open it... really."The unopened piece of mail and I stared each other down for a few minutes. Finally I gave in and opened it, and for my efforts I earned a refund check of 400.00 from our property tax escrow account. And a paper cut, but it was totally worth it.That night, obviously distressed that 400.00 wouldn't even touch the bills that we have, I had a dream that night that we won over a million dollars, and I found out by opening a piece of mail. Now, to sound completely weird let me just say that I have had dreams that have come true, and parts of dreams that have come true. Well, this isn’t that kind of dog wedding. A man in India has married a dog to beat a curse. CHENNAI, India (AFP) — An Indian farmer has married his dog in a bid to overcome what he believes is a curse caused by him having stoned to death two mating dogs in his rice field, press reports said. The 34-year-old farmer, identified as Selvakumar from Sivaganga district in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, fell on bad fortune 15 years ago after killing the dogs and hanging their carcasses from a tree. A few days later, his hearing and speech were impaired and he was unable to walk. Doctors were clueless, but an astrologer finally told him he was cursed by the spirits of the dogs he had killed. He could undo t

The Top 20 Most Bizarre Experiments of All Time
The Top 20 Most Bizarre Experiments of All Time They're not kidding. The experiments detailed here are really and truly bizarre. The faint of heart may want to drift off to less peculiar realms. But those interested in traversing the wild side of science should step right up. In this list from The Museum of Hoaxes, drugged elephants are on parade, bulls are manipulated by remote control, and more than one housewife unintentionally subjects herself to "beneficial brainwashing": "People like you and need you. You have confidence in yourself." Such notorious psychological trials as the Stanford Prison Experiment and Stanley Milgram's tests of the limits of human obedience both surface. (The limits rarely come.) And a duo representing the Cold War's little-known "surgical arms race" makes the top 20. The Russians produced two-headed dogs, the Americans retaliated by transplanting a monkey's head, and Dr. Frankenstein felt right at home.

      Bizarre Behaviour From Robbie Williams
According to Robbie Williams’ ex girlfriend Suzanne Coplin, the star has been demonstrating some very bizarre behaviour of late. She says his addictions are far from behind him, and he needs serious help. I don’t know about you guys, but I hate when a star’s ex-partner or friend spills personal info to the media, but come one, it’s interesting to read. So here are a few of the things she had to say about Robbie: * He fled to LA five years ago believing everyone in Britain hated him; * He trawls websites reading hate messages about himself, further fuelling his paranoia; * He has given up on ever having children, claiming he has not had a proper girlfriend for nine years; * He is obsessed with dieting after being dubbed “Blobby Williams”, and is addicted to calorie-free ice-cream, and; * He offered to show her a doctor’s note proving he did not have a sexually transmitted disease. I don’t know why she found the last point strange. You get

Bizarre: Dentist Fondles 27 Female Patients
The award for the worst excuse ever goes to dentist Dr. Mark Anderson who claimed that the breast fondling of 27 female patients was purely “professional”. He claims that the massaging of his patients’ chests was to treat temporo-mandibular joint disorder (TMJ), which is the cause of neck and head pain. Not only that but attorney Rober Zao told administrative law judge Jonathan Lew that his client should be able to keep his licence so that he can feed his seven children and pay for his defence. Having looked more at TMJ I cannot find anything about massaging the breasts and there is certainly nothing to suggest that having a sleazy dentist shove his hands into your bra is going to help. It seems the judge has made no final decision. I say send him to the slammer! ---Related Articles at Natural Health Remedies:Understanding the Natural Cures for DiabetesHealth Oddities of the WeekThe Amazing Memory Kit Review

Japan's cyber-suicide trend takes bizarre twistJustin McCurry in TokyoThursday October 11, 2007Guardian Unlimited Police in Japan have arrested a man on suspicion of murdering a woman who had paid him to kill her after contacting him through the internet.Kazunari Saito allegedly fed a large quantity of sleeping pills to his victim, Sayaka Nishizawa, before suffocating her at her apartment in April, local media said.Nishizawa, 21, had contacted her killer days earlier via his mobile phone website, which he had set up to sell sleeping pills to people who were contemplating suicide. But in a bizarre variation on Japan's cyber-suicide trend, Nishizawa reportedly paid Mr Saito 200,000 yen to kill her, imploring him to stay with her until he was certain she was dead.Police initially attributed her death to suicide, but launched a criminal investigation after noticing that her keys and mobile phone were missing. They tracked Mr Saito down after examining Nishizawa's email correspondence.Rep

Hanging Flowers - Bizarre Singapore Life
It’s the third time I’ve sat in this bar, and it’s such an intriguing bar that I have to explain the concept behind it. It’s a karaoke bar, of sorts. Most of us know what a karaoke bar is, however what you may not be aware of is that in South East Asia (and even some other parts of Asia), there are generally two types of karaoke bar: one where you sing into a microphone, and one where she sings into your microphone (provided you are male & equipped with the appropriate hardware). This particular Karaoke Bar is a third type, and brings fact to a previous rumour that I had heard and assumed was fiction - a practice called hanging flowers. There is nothing lewd about this practice. There is no need to avert your eyes. These ladies are brought in (recruited) from overseas, generally from China, and are professional singers. They come on a worker’s pass and they pay a fee to the ‘house’ (the bar) for providing a venue for them to sing, and they

Really bizarre, sick and twisted frogs
How about a frog with two extra legs growing out of its butt? It's a dog's life, being a frog... Horrific deformities in frogs are the result of a cascade of events that starts when nitrogen and phosphorus from farming and ranching bleed into lakes and ponds, researchers said on Monday. These nutrients from fertilizers and animal waste create dramatic changes in aquatic ecosystems that help a certain type of parasitic flatworm that inflicts these deformities on North American frogs, researchers said. "You can get five or six extra limbs. You can get no hind limbs. You can get all kinds of really bizarre, sick and twisted stuff," Pieter Johnson, an ecologist and evolutionary biologist at the University of Colorado at Boulder who led the study, said in a telephone interview. Here's how it works: Runoff from farms and livestock ranches stimulate the growth of algae, which increases the population of snails. The snails are infected by microscopic parasitic worms called trematodes, who
