EDINBURGH (Reuters Life!) - Salmon is one of Scotland's most feted foods, but who knew those scaly skins could be so useful and attractive on anything other than fish?

Chilean fashion designer Claudia Escobar, that's who.
Not only did she see a source of cheap raw material in the masses of salmon skin discarded worldwide every year, she has managed to make it into a line of luxury
In an itsy-bitsy polka-dot bikini Pink cut a feminine figure as she frolicked in the waves with a mystery man.
After filing for divorce from husband Carey Hart in February, the pop star appeared to be getting on with her love life on the beach in California.
And, perhaps her new man could be the explanation for her sudden change in style.
All smiles: Pink seemed to have left all thoughts of

Today I successfully unplugged while taking a shower. Awake in the present moment, feeling the hot water coming down on my skin, I suddenly [...]

I'm in the process of setting up a rescue, but things are pretty slow going. I think I'm still trying to recover from the weekend. My brain feels a bit foggy. Slow. Tired. I only wrote a few paragraphs tonight before wimping out.
So, new word count is now up to 54,847.

I was raised with the itsy bitsy spider as a role model for perseverance. The plucky little spider may get washed away by a rain storm, but she will not be discouraged. While reciting this popular nursery rhyme with my daughter, however, my son gave me new insight into the true mental state of Itsy Bitsy.Son: That's dumb.Me: What's dumb?Son: The spider. Doesn't it know it will get washed out again in the next rain?My education taught me that doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results was perseverance. Others have said it is the definition of insanity.Perhaps the spider should have learned from her experience and not be held up for her "perserverance?"And maybe our school system should stop trying to do the same things harder in order to get different results. Of course that could be said about a lot of things. Who else is spinning webs in drain spouts, expecting anything other than getting washed away in the next rain?

I know the close-up shots of Giada's chest have become fodder for many an internet search, but titling an episode Giada's Bikini Ready Dinners is ridiculous. This is nothing more than blatant pandering to those Giada viewers who watch her for no other reason than her evident sex appeal. Oh, sorry, it's starting...I have to grab a closer seat and pay attention to the "recipes". Dang, there isn't even a faraway filmy shot of her in a bikini. There WAS, though, on her Giada's Weekend Getaways. All we got here was Giada SHOPPING for a bikini. I guess those college boys, who are her biggest fans, will just have to use their imaginations. Eeewww. Okay, back to business, she'
This Earth friendly bikini was featured in New York Times and it's made from Factory Surplus originally made for Olympic speed skaters. (I wonder if Apollo Ono will be wearing it; he rocks!) This designer is based in Portland, Oregon and worked in major fashion houses in Italy (notable ones too) before she decided to start her own line of environmental friendly clothes. Her designs are hip yet green, the perfect combination. At about $150 a pop, it's not for the budget conscious; but a girl can always dream. Here's what Anna, herself, had to say about her line of clothing.“It is our conscious choices every day that affect the resources on which all life depends. We must make this transition into personal responsibility a beautiful empowering process.” -Anna Blossom Cohen. Autoca reports that the new-to-Europe Infiniti brand wants to compete with the BMW 1-series and the Audi A3s of the world in the hot "premium compact" segment. But don't expect a carbon-copy of the German whips, as Autocar hints that Nissan's luxury marque will unleash an entirely unique model on the segment. Speculation has centered around a baby-SUV model (rendered here) that would slot under the new EX35, currently the smallest Infiniti model. But wait, it might be a coupe-cabriolet with a folding hardtop. Actually, Autocar has no idea what the model will look like. But they do know that it will launch in 2010 (as will everything) at a price point around $40k. We'll be checking out forthcoming Infiniti concept cars for hints at the final design of the "I
