Tonight’s very special episode begins with a bar wake for poor Antonio, with everyone sitting around a table drinking and looking forlorn. That’s right, I almost forgot he bit it at the end of the last episode. It was done so quickly and in such an overused, cliché type of way that it slipped my mind. Anyways, Jonas tries to be empathetic to a hurting Jaime, and she throws a random Will Anthros comment back his way. Not that she mentions his name or anything, you just get the idea who she is talking about because he is the only other dead person she was any kinds of attached too. The best part of the whole weird wake scenario is Dr. Ruth making a very funny comment about sleeping with Antonio once and how amazing it was. Her delivery is so deadpan and spot on bizarre that it garnered a real laugh out of me. Go Dr. Ruth. (more…)

In my recent post, Things I Hate About Bionic Woman, I explored the reasons I felt the character seemed to need improvement. I had theorized a reason for why she came across as so full of herself, despite the danger that behavior caused. "Maybe this is part of the show's development, and the newly-enhanced cyborg is supposed to get cocky to the point where someone dies and she has to reevaluate her way of thinking." Well, someone did die, and she does seem to be doing some thinking.A coworker got killed 2 episodes ago, and last episode she was a little upset. To even things out, she took a vacation that ended up becoming another mission. Ordered to kill a guy, she decided to take him hostage instead. The value of a human life seems to have become something she's taking a bit more seriously now. Sure, she allowed a previous "enemy" to survive as well, but her attitude about it was much more carefree. Now she appears focused. It had seemed like her bionics created a sort of disc
Owen Wilson was spotted having dinner with ‘Bionic Woman’ actress Michelle Ryan at exclusive Malibu restaurant Nobu.
One source said: “Michelle’s one of the few women in Hollywood who looks like herself and hasn’t had loads of work done. She’s refreshingly natural.
“She’s also pretty innocent about how this whole town works, which Owen finds endearing. And then there’s that British sense of humor.”

First off, overall I enjoy the show. It's growing on me. And as far as I can tell, they're moving away from most of the things I don't like. But those elements could linger...The show's called, "Bionic Woman." So why try to make her masculine? Sure, she and her blonde bionic enemy have wide shoulders and defined chins. No big deal. But occasionally in prior episodes, our hero was caught calling men the curse word equivalent of "female dog." That is a feminine insult. A man should be called the curse equivalent of "he whose mother was not married when she gave birth." Know what I mean? It's like her character has been instructed that because she's smart and is now part machine, she must prove she is better than a man by insisting on how much more masculine she is. That's no way to win! In order for a female to triumph over a male, she must do so as a female. Otherwise, she's just proving that whoever is the most masculine wins by default.Another thing I don't like a
I was in Vegas all last week but I was kind of Tired on Wednesday night so I didn't go out, instead I stayed in and Watched Bionic Woman and Life. I unpacked and charged up all my nimh batteries for my cameras so I was all ready for my next day in Vegas.I like the new character of Tom. He's a pretty good partner for Jamie, probably because he is intelligent an she is well, not. I'm sorry but she just feels dumb to me. It is like they should have given her some A.I. or something to make her a bit more smart. That would have been a very good use of $50,000.00.I'd make a bionic Gilmore girls reference if I ever watched that show. Oh well, did you ever notice that the major problems that happen between a character with a double life and their family revolves around keeping their double life secret. Just tell your sister Jamie, she'll be in no less the danger. In fact if she at least had an idea who was a good guy and who was a bad guy she would be in less danger. I'm not sure if I sh

Ah to be a young bionic woman in love – or lust. Whatever. Especially when it is with someone you aren’t supposed to be with because he is from the wrong side of the super secret government agency tracks. How will Jaime’s new relationship with CIA hottie Tom ever work out? Do they even have a new relationship? I guess just because they were sucking face at the end of the last episode doesn’t mean they will be running off to buy His and Hers spy gear anytime soon. (more…)

Screen Rant has some rumors on the plot of the upcoming Star Trek movie (skip the next paragraph if you don’t want to see any potential spoilers):
The new Star Trek film will focus much more on Spock than on the crew of the Enterprise. Also, the adventure takes place on a USS Enterprise commanded by Captain Christopher Pike(!), with Pike and crew being helped out by Kirk but not until much later in the film. It’s unknown what ship Kirk would be serving on, but he is not yet a captain at that time. There are battles with the Klingons, and we will get to see the maiden voyage of the original Enterprise: NCC-1701. Finally, none of the film takes place at all at Starfleet Academy.

I’ve decided to watch the show this week as if I’ve never seen it before. The slate is wiped clean and I’m ready to pretend I have no previous opinions or thoughts about The Bionic Woman. I’m going to take deep, calming, cleansing breaths, put a smile on my face, and settle in for what I hope will be an enjoyable hour of television viewing. But just in case this proves to be a difficult task to accomplish and I start to lose my hold on peace and happiness, I will merely take more breaths and count backwards from 10 until my mind is clear again. Turns out last week wasn’t as dramatic as I expected. The supposedly bald girl, isn’t really bald, plus I actually thinks she looks way better with her hair short than she would have with long blond hair. Tonight, Ambreal has to deal with her fear of heights. I still don’t know the girls’ names, I don’t know why for some reason they don’t seem to stick with me.

Watch With Kristin has let out the big news that CHUCK, BIONIC WOMAN, JOURNEYMAN, LIFE all received orders for three additional scripts and CANE for four additional scripts.
Even though this doesn’t guarantee a full season pick up, it’s a good start.
I am mostly excited for Journeyman especially since its ratings are not as good as expected, and Life is also a favorite of mine. Next step, full season pick up. My fingers are crossed.

The new "Bionic Woman" show supposedly has two bionic women involved. One, a nutzoid blonde who kills for fun, and another, our hero, the brunette. But I don't think the blonde is really a "bionic woman" at all. Here's why:Clue #1: On the pilot, the blonde claimed she was the original bionic woman, and had been becoming increasingly cybernetic, replacing more and more organic parts of her with bionic machinery. She said she did this to become stronger. If she's so messed up, how can we trust that's really the reason most of her is a machine? Maybe she got it wrong, and she's pure -- a Tin Lady.Clue #2: On last night's episode, we learned she had died, and was later "brought back" to life. Pet Sematary style, all messed up? Or Species style, where the "repaired" brain is no longer being run by the original individual? Or maybe it's just a full-on robot that looks and acts like the original human...crazy.Clue #3: On last night's episode, she tried to eat a can of food, but couldn
Bionic Woman was re-conceptualized and based on 1970's cult drama The Bionic Woman. This is an American science fiction television drama created by David Eick, It was premiered in the United State on the NBC network on September 26, 2007. British actress Michelle Ryan makes her American debut as the Bionic Woman, Jaime Sommers a female athlete who is given bionic strength. When a devastating car accident leaves Jaime Sommers at death's door, her only hope of survival is a cutting-edge, top-secret technology performed by her boyfriend, Dr. Will Anthros, and with her new bionics come a covert life that she is not sure she is ready to lead. With a whole new existence and a debt to re-pay, Jaime must figure out how to use her extraordinary abilities for good, while weighing the personal sacrifices she will have to make. Ultimately, it's Jaime's journey of self-discovery and inner strength that will help her embrace her new life as the Bionic Woman.. Apparently, Bionic Woman
I don’t have a lot to say, the second show was about as good as the first. I neither confirm nor deny that the show could be awesome. It definitely had it’s moments, but it had it’s fair share of the cheese too. The acting is often sub-par and the cold color palette is tough to watch for an hour. I mean it was cool in the Matrix when it was used to separate real life from virtual, but the whole show has a cool color that combined with the cool (and often wooden) acting, I find a little off putting.
Still, I find something interesting about the show and I can’t quite put my finger on it. It has some good quips, for sure, but that definitely does not a series make. Yeah, I don’t know why. I guess the plotting is interesting and there wasn’t too much in it that annoyed me. A lot of it was average and a reasonable portion was pretty darn good. So I’ll keep watching and hope that it grows into itself, I think there’s a lot of promise.

UPDATE: The ratings are in and Bionic Woman did quite well with 13.9 million viewers. It built on it’s lead in from Deal or No Deal and in fact grew even more in the second half of the show. Sweet.
You know of the three premiers I was looking forward to (the other two being Chuck and Heroes) this was definitely my favourite. Which is not to say that Bionic Woman blew my mind, but it seemed like a very solid pilot to me, they’ve definitely got me watching the show.
It didn’t hurt that BSG vet Arron Douglas (Chief!) made a cameo in addition to Katee Sackhoff’s presence. But beyond that I think it was an interesting show all on it’s own. The scope seems very small, which I appreciate, and it was personality driven. There’s just enough mystery and backstory to keep things together and interesting, but they don’t beat you over the head with it *cough*heroes*cough*lost*.
I think the acting, while certainly not the best was good enough to not be dist
So last night I checked out the "Bionic Woman" . I’m not going to lie, I was looking forward to see it. Starring a new comer
Michelle Ryan. I thought they would have bored me to death with a lot of irrelevant scenes. Instead ,I saw a well put together and high impact action show. Michelle Ryan was EXCELLENT. She wasn’t some cheesy over the top character. She showed us girl power big time. I also liked the fact that she wasn’t fighting the whole "bionic" thing and instead wanted to give it a try.
Again this was a brilliant show. I know it’s going to be right behind Heros as far as fans are concerned. After it was all said and done it left me wanting more. I give it 5 stars (whatever that means). Oh Yeah , the presidental Debate was up against it and Bionic woman won the ratings . (I just thought it was cool a girl could do that) .
Tonight is the craziest night of TV, there is so much to watch I don’t even know where to start. I can already hear my two DVRs cry a little. Moving on to our choices for the night.

Yes!! The girls are moving into the house, let the drama begin! I used to hate reality shows, but for some reason America’s Next Top Model is strangely appealing to me. The BIONIC WOMAN Panel at Comic Con, was the first one on Saturday morning. The actual panel started at 10am. We go in line at 7am and there was already about 400 people before us. Most people at this point came early in order to get good seats for the Heroes panel which took place in the same room a few hours later at 12:45pm (we actually talk about this in the first episode of our podcast, yes we’ve finally done one which I will be posting at the latest tomorrow).
I will also be posting an audio of the panel, sorry no video for this one.
Before the panel started, we got to watch the pilot of Bionic Woman. Although this was not the final version of the pilot (they changed the actress who played the sister originally, but I guess they hadn’t shot the new scenes yet), I thought it was a really cool pilot. It definitely makes me want to tune in. One of the few new shows I am actually excited about (the other ones include Pushing Dai
From the same Super-Genius-Freak David Eick that gave us the best TV series of all time, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, He now remakes, BIONIC WOMAN…
“Struggling as a bartender and a surrogate mom, Jaime Sommers (Michelle Ryan) didn’t think life could get much harder. But when a devastating car accident leaves her at death’s door, Jaime’s only hope for survival is a cutting-edge, top-secret technology that comes at a hefty price. Premieres Wednesday, September 26 9/8c.”
I don’t know if it’ll be as genius as BSG but I’ll be watching.
What a day… I am so exhausted. I will feel you guys in on all the information about all the panels I attended, but for now, I thought I would post some pictures from the BIONIC WOMAN Panel.

Mark Sheppard (Battlestar Galactica, Medium) has been cast as a regular on BIONIC WOMAN.
The character that Mark Sheppard will play is Dr. Anthony Anthros, “a possibly evil father of Will with his own background in Bionic history.”
I am a big fan of Mark Sheppard, his portrayal of Dr. Charles Walker in Medium was one of my favorites recurring character in any show that I watch. Mark Sheppard is one of the best actors on TV, and I am so excited we will get to see him on Bionic Woman.
NBC has posted more preview clips from their upcoming Bionic Woman remake.
In some of the clips, the bionic Jaime Sommers (Michelle Ryan) battles it out with the first bionic woman Sarah Corvus, played by Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff!
It’s so badass and it’s exactly what you’d want to see in a TV show like this.
Sackhoff, who’s character appears in the pilot, said that Corvus would be part of the series as well.
Bionic Woman, which was officially picked up by NBC for its Fall lineup, will air on Wednesdays at 9pm.
Former EastEnders’ actress Michelle Ryan has been given the superstar treatment with a glamorous Hollywood makeover.
Ryan, who made her name in the long-running British soap playing character Zoe Slater has clearly stepped up a fashion gear or two in advance of her debut in the ‘re-imagination’ of cult 70s show The Bionic Woman.
In keeping with her new Hollywood lifestyle, Michelle now cuts a sleek, glossy figure, opting for a demure and sophisticated black dress, and dropping her previous dependence on fake tan.
Now the British actress has swopped her former dowdy look for one more befitting an actress tipped for US television stardom.
Having landed a primetime slot for new show The Bionic Woman, Michelle is no doubt aware that she has to dress for success.
In the 70s classic which has been remade for modern audiences, Ryan plays tennis pro Jamie Sommers, whose body is rebuilt using bionic wizardry after she suffers a near-fatal skydiving accident.

In a recent Access Discovers column, Access Hollywood spotlights actress Michelle Ryan, the title star of NBC’s upcoming pilot Bionic Woman.
The show, produced by Battlestar Galactica’s David Eick and guest-stars BG’s Katee Sackhoff, is a contemporary reimagining of the 70’s TV show which starred Lindsey Wagner in the title role.
In the NBC pilot, after a near-fatal accident, Jamie Sommers (Ryan) is transformed into a technological wonder with $50 million worth of bionic body parts.
Check out photos of Ryan as Sommers and a behind-the-scenes look at the show in this photo slideshow. Also, here’s an exclusive video with scenes from the pilot (full description of the show after the jump).
Bionic Woman : Television Series"I'm not THAT bionic." Bionic Woman was first aired on the 14th of January 1976 and lasted on the 13th of May 1978. The series has three (3) seasons with sixty (60) episodes. It was created by Kenneth Johnson and it was based on a novel written by Martin Caidin entitled Cyborg. Bionic Woman was a spun off from the television series entitled The Six Million Dollar Man. It tackles the life of Jaime Sommer played by Lindsay Wagner, a professional tennis player and a teacher before she met an accident when she and Steve Austin (from The Six Million Dollar Man) went into skydiving. Jaime's parachute had defects and causes her to drop down that almost killed her. She had fatal injuries on her legs, right arm and head. Steve asked for his boss Oscar Goldman's help to rebuild Jaime by the bionic team headed by Dr. Rudy Wells. After the operation and Jaime's recovery he was to become a member of Office of Strategic Intelligence (OSI). With the super pow
Remember Michelle Ryan? Of course you do, she played Zoe Slater in Eastenders. Well, Miss Ryan has been picked by NBC to take the lead as Jamie Sommers in a new Bionic Woman pilot.
NBC had considered better well known stars for the part but decided it would be better to have someone who would be a newcomer to American audiences.
Michelle spent 5 years playing Zoe, and it looks like she%u2019s now moved on to bigger and better things.
