Apparently intent on stripping away the last remnants of his positive public image, Clinton opened up to a group of veterans in North Carolina, sharing his feelings on a Clinton / McCain matchup in the general election:
I think it would be great if we had an election year where you had two people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country.
That, presumably, is contrasted by an Obama / McCain matchup, with McCain’s representing the U.S. and Obama representing the Nation of Islam.
Naturally, the Clinton campaign told the public that Bill’s meaning was yet again misinterpreted. He was simply calling for renewed focus on the issues, not “falsely questioning any candidate’s patriotism.”

But it makes Mo'Kelly wonder, isn't there some sort of proprietary issue with using former President Clinton in any ad that hasn't been sanctioned by Clinton himself?Isn't there some sort of legal/copyright issue involved with using a political figure's photo/likeness in a campaign ad that he clearly didn't support?
