Last night we made dreams a reality, sending a bunch of alpha males in their late 20’s back to a world of no responsibility, no rules and no noise restrictions…..college. The following signs of colleges rebirth occurred without fail as if to say we had awoken from a 5-year nightmare of employment and adulthood:
- A legitimate party/drinking-fest was thrown on none other but a weeknight
- The only available drinks in the whole place had the word “light/lite” written on them, save one exception. Thats right, our favorite blue ribbon winner PBR
- An unknown neighbor stopped by during the heart of the party asking to speak with “whoever owned the house”
- 21 year old college girls with questionable motives and morals stopped by circa 11pm because “they heard a party going on”
- The combination of the original sausage fest + said college girls led to everyone’s favorite testosterone-driven competitiveness
- And finally, and of course

J.P. Schoeffel of Niches-In-A-Box just got a great piece of news concerning AdWords/AdSense: Google is beta-testing CPA ads and text link ads on the US market currently. There will be new implications to working in both programs.
For AdWords advertisers, they will be able to bid for an action, and not only for a click! This is a HUGE difference, meaning you won’t have to fear paying for all this useless clicks. In addition it will lower the “click fraud” syndrom which is a real pain with AdWords.
An action could be :
1) a lead: you will pay when the visitor has completed the form, thus becoming a ‘real’ prospect you can follow-up. The value of your bid is now connected with the potential lifetime value of your lead instead of the nanosecond value of the visitor’s click to your website. I think this spells a positive sign for opt-in pages. Is Google doing a turnaround in its perspective towards opt-in sites?
2) a sale: it’s a disguised affiliate
It seems as that the initial 12,000 beta testers isn’t enough, so IBM is publically allowing computer users to sign up for a free open beta program for Lotus and Domino 8. The completed versions of...
