“Bernstein reaches conclusions that stand in opposition to what Senator Clinton has said in the past and has written in the past,” said Paul Bogaards, a spokesman for Knopf, which publishes the book on June 19.
With the thoroughness for which he is famous, Bernstein spoke to more than 200 of Clinton’s friends, colleagues and adversaries. He stops short of accusing the New York senator of blatantly lying about her past, but has unearthed examples of where she has played fast and loose with the facts about her “personal and political life”, according to Knopf.
The book could revive the explosive charge, made earlier this year by David Geffen, a former Clinton donor and Hollywood mogul, that “the Clintons lie with such ease, it’s troubling”.
I can almost hear Hillary cussing and swearing as she reads this article about Carl Bernstein and his unauthorized biography of her. He was just seven off finishing with 43 points which I thought he was lucky to get the way the entire team was playing so well together.Other than the Kobe show the Lakers did win the game 115-113 over the Warriors. They had a big lead like I expected but gave it away in the second quarter. The team had more consistent offense, but lacked the same intensity defensively. Role players were a big part of the Laker attack and Ronny Turiaf is the one who came through the most in crunch time. He went on the floor for loose balls and had a few blocks and got going on the offensive end also with 7 points. Lamar Odom really showed he can do it all with 24 points and 19 ferocious rebounds. I say ferocious because you could see the effort he put into grabbing all of the rebounds. The Lakers are not ready for the season yet. With tons of injuries left and right from Kobe to Mihm the season will start slow for the Lakers. The Clipps are there but not at 100% good health. I expect them to start out much better than the Lakers. The cat Cuttino Mobley led the way with 26 points and 3 assists in 41 minutes. Good game but lots of minutes for Mobley. When they actually abide by their rotation, Mobley will rest maybe 10+ more minutes. Corey Maggette got 14 points and boards in 19 minutes. Maggette is doing fine for the preseason. Last seasons injury is no longer a problem and Maggette, should be optimistic about this season. Elton Brand got 20 points and 4 steals in 30 minutes. Brand has been playing outstanding ball. His shooting is up to par and his overall play is better. Shaun Livingston got 11 points and 4
