I just got finished watching this fight, a fight I had never seen until now and I have to say this is a very entertaining fight that everybody needs to watch. This fight has it all, some good stand-up shots, mounts, sweeps, takedowns and submission attempts. Every aspect of MMA is displayed here by 2 solid fighters and one of the best King of the Cage bouts I've ever watched. Was I expecting more from All-Flash #1? Maybe. I probably shouldn’t have been. It took a good bit of searching around for the right theme for Bennett. I am not sure why I landed on this, but I found the Royal Beefeater Guard Bear and as soon as I saw it I knew this was it. I love stuffed bears. I still have mine from when I was little. Mine resembles the Velveteen Rabbit with half of his fur rubbed off from my holding him and loving him so much. He resides in the linen closet and every so often I take him out and tell him I love him all over again.When my children were little we had a wonderful neighbor gentleman named Mr. Cole. We had a lake directly behind our house which was wonderful for wildlife and views and row boating. Well, seeing Tony Bennett interacting with these American Idol wannabes was kind of humorous in a way to me - and that he actually loves this show is mind boggling as well. LOL. Here’s the rundown:
Blake Lewis: First, funny comment from Tony - “This song is pre-rap.” Heh heh. Once again, Blake puts his own spin on the song with his smooth rendition of “Mack the Knife”. Randy said that it was the perfect song for him, he’s a funky, jazzy, cool dude, Paula said he personifies pizazz, and Simon said that it was a good choice for him, he gave Blake 7/10 and the bank an 8/10.
Phil Stacey: He sang “Night and Day”. Quite frankly, I was bored through the whole song. Ugh. Painful. Randy didn’t feel any connection or passion, was disconnected, Paula said that he was a young Frank Sinatra (uhm Paula, hello?), and Simon said that he sounded like someone singing in a funeral parlor, it was gloomy and dark, no life in the performance.

It’s the American Standards tonight…What will Sanjaya do with his hair? Will Gina be able to not rock out? Is Haley going to wear some hot pants again? BPR is honored to have Ayoka Lucas, Style Editor of Charleston Magazine serve as the BPR field reporter at Charleston Fashion Week.The inaugural Charleston Fashion Week (CFW) presented by Charleston Magazine welcomed Laura Bennett as our celebrity guest who closed out the week hosting both the last night of runway shows and finale party as a benefit for Dress For Success. Her original Project Runway gowns arrived a week before and my assistant and I almost shut our office down for fear that anyone would touch them! Once they arrived, the buzz was out that Laura was on her way! Former Titan wide receiver, Drew Bennett, and the St.Louis Rams agreed to a 6-year $30 million deal Saturday. The deal comes just days after the Rams lost two receivers, Kevin Curtis and Shaun McDonald, to free-agency. The deal also is a clear sign that long time Ram, Isaac Bruce may be on his last year in St.Louis.Drew Bennett is a very explosive receiver that has great size and good hands, he has great speed and will give the Rams one more down-field threat.Bennett's best season was in 2004, when he had personal bests with 80 receptions, 1,247 yards and 11 touchdowns and started all 16 games. Eight of the touchdowns came in three games, tying a record set by someone you may have heard of, a guy by the name of Jerry Rice.According to sources, Bennett's deal includes $10 million in guaranteed money. It will pay him a total of $9.5 million over the first year of the contract.

Since “decency” seems to be the watchword of the day and the consensus modifier for Jerry Ford (a view with which I generally concur), may I nevertheless be permitted to ask this: just how decent, how courageous, is what Jerry Ford did with Bob Woodward? He slams Bush & Cheney to Woodward in 2004, but asks Woodward not to print the interview until he’s dead. If he felt so strongly about his words having a derogatory affect, how about telling Woodward not to run the interview until after Bush & Cheney are out of office?
The effect of what Ford did is to protect himself, ensuring he can’t be asked by others about his critiques, ensuring that there can be no dialogue. I was fortunate enough to work with Tony Bennett twice this year: once in concert at the Kodak Theater in June, and for the filming of Tony Bennett: An American Classic in August. Talk about an experience I will never forget, meeting and working with Tony at the Kodak show was amazing! He was so gracious, laid back, and always smiling. I got a little choked up when he sang "I Left My Heart in San Francisco", just hearing those classic songs and being a part of it all...As you can see by the photo, I got to meet Stevie Wonder after the filming of Tony Bennett: An American Classic.
